The effect of Vitamin E on the metabolism of selenium in weaning Wistar rats raised with low selenium and low vitamin E Keshan disease diet and with the basal diet supplemented with selenium and/or a-tocopherol acetate was investigated. The results showed that:(1)On the same level of selenium in the diets, a-tocopherol supplemented to the diets might increase the selenium level of liver. No significant effect was found in other organs.(2)Whether the selenium was deficient in the diet or not, the GSHPx activities in blood, heart and liver of vitamin E deficient animals were lower than that of animals supplemented with vitamin E.(3)Supplementation of vitamin E to the diet decreased the selenium excretion in urine, and increased the selenium retention in tissues both in selenium deficient group and in selenium supplemented group.

In this work, some interference in the assay of vitamin E in liver and serum was studied and the method was improved.The sample must be protected from oxidative attack. The interference of high vitamin A content in liver could be removed by H2SO4. The amount of KOH for saponification must be in keeping with the amount of sample assayed both in synthetic a-tocopherol and in biological material by fluorometry. A linear correlation of the fluorescence and the vitamin E content was obtained when 0.5ml of 10 N KOH was used for the saponification of 0.5-100?g of ?-tocopheryl acetate.

Objective:To establish the reference range of red blood cell parameters within 24 hours after birth of premature infants with different gestational ages and genders.Methods:According to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, a retrospective analysis was performed in premature infants who were admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019. These newborns were delivered in the obstetrics department of our hospital or came from other parts of Jilin Province. All of their radial artery blood were collected within 24 hours after birth. According to the blood examination results, we analyzed reference range of red blood cell parameters of these premature infants.Results:With the increase of gestational age, the number of RBC, HGB, HCT, MCHC gradually increases and the number of MCV, MCH gradually decreases. There are differences in some red blood cell parameters of premature infants with 34 week≤gestational age<37 week between different genders. Compared with boys, the number of RBC, HGB, HCT and MCV in girls were higher. The number of RBC in premature infants with 23 week≤gestational age<28 week and 28 week ≤ gestion age<34 week are 2.58×10 12-5.45×10 12/L and 2.97×10 12-5.86×10 12/L respectively. In the group of premature infants with 34 week ≤gestion age<37 week, the number of RBC in boys is 3.38×10 12-5.83×10 12/L, while the number of RBC in girls is 3.18-5.89×10 12/L. There're no difference in RDW among preterm infants with different gestational ages and genders, which is 14.8%-20.6%. Conclusions:The study established the reference range of red blood cell parameters of 23 w≤gestational age<37 w premature infants within 24 hours after the birth and explored the differences in red blood cell parameters of premature infants with different gestational ages and genders.

This study was aimed to observe the effect ofJia-Shen prescription (JSP) on angiotensinⅡ (AngⅡ) inhibition, ventricular remodeling in myocardial infarction (MI) rat model. The anterior descending coronary artery of Sprague-Dawley rat was ligated to establish the MI rat model. Rats were randomly divided into the 3 g JSP group, 6 g JSP group, losartan group, model group, and the sham-operation group. Intragastric administration of medication was given 24 h after MI. In the 3 g and 6 g JSP group, JSP was given at the dose of 3 g·kg-1·day-1 and 6 g·kg-1day-1, respectively. Losartan was given at the dose of 10 mg·kg-1·day-1 in the losartan group. Same volume of distilled water was given to the sham-operation and model group. Four weeks later, the left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD), left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), posterior wall thickness (PWT), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricular fractional shorten (LVFS), left ventricular weight index (LVWI), the distribution and content of collagen, plasma brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and the AngⅡ content in myocardial tissues homogenate were observed. The results showed that 4 weeks after MI, compared to the model group, 6 g PJP reduced myocardial infarct size, LVWI, LVEDD and LVESD, and enhanced LVEF and LVFS (P< 0.05). In ischemic regions, compared to the model group, JSP can obviously reduce the content of collagen (P < 0.05). This effect had dose-dependent relationship. Plasma BNP and AngⅡ content in myocardial tissues homogenate were also obviously lower than the model group (P< 0.05). It was concluded that JSP can improve the ventricular remodeling of MI rat model. Its action mechanism may be through the AngⅡ inhibition, in order to improve the early stage left ventricular morphological remodeling, myocardial fibrosis and cardiac contractile function.

This study was aimed to explore the method to improve the purity of primary myocardial cells from neonatal rats. The myocardial tissues of rats which were born 1-3 days were repeated digested by 0.08% myocardial cells digestive juices. And then, cells were neutralized with DMEM medium which containing 10% fetal bovine serum. The cells were separated with differential sidewall ion. The red blood cell cracking liquid was added to remove the red blood cells. Bromine deoxidization uracil (Brdu) was added to purify the myocardial cells. Then, cells were incubated in the CO2 incubator for two days. The serum-free synchronization was performed for one day. The results showed that the output of myocardial cells from one rat was about 1.2 × 106. The dynamic myocardial cells occupied more than 90%. The purity of myocardial cells was more than 90%. After 3 to 4 days, the cell fusion of myocardial cells was formed with spontaneous rhythm beats. It was concluded that the method can ensure the yield and the activity of the myocardial cells. At the same time, the purity of myocardial cells can also be improved greatly.

Objective To explore the characteristics of resilience and the relationships between resilience and social integration of disabled people.Methods By convenient sampling,a total of 702 disabled people were investigated by Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale,Social Integration Scale of the Disabled and self-made general questionnaire.Results The score of resilience of disabled people(53.27± 18.21) was lower than chinese community people(65.4± 13.9,t=-13.19,P＜0.01).The resilience scores were significantly lower of the disabled people who came from rural areas,younger(≤ 24 years old) or older(≥ 60 years old),and were disabled from birth had poor family economic conditions,and had no insurances(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).But the disabled people who had university degree or above,married,working,and had warm and harmonious family atmosphere,had significantly higher resilience scores (P＜0.05,P＜0.01).The vesilience and three sub-factors were significantly correlated with social integration (r=0.38-0.66,P＜0.01).The high resilience group had higher score in integration and three dimensions compared with the low resilience group(t=11.60-19.02,P＜0.01).Tenacity and strength directly influenced the three dimensions of social integration (the path coefficient were 0.18-0.46,P＜0.01).Conclusion The resilience of the disabled people is lower,and there are close relationships between resilience and social integration.The training of tenacity and strength is beneficial to social integration of the disabled people.

Objective To explore the relationship between resilience and personality among the physically disabled people.Methods A total of 668 disabled persons were tested by Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire Short Scale (EPQ-RSC), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (SES).Results The score of resilience of disabled people(53.42± 18.18) was than lower Chinese community people (65.4 ± 13.9, t =-16.83, P＜ 0.05).The scores of the three sub-factors were tenacity (27.19 ± 10.23), strength (18.11 ±6.42) ,optimism(8.09±3.00).The disabled persons' resilience was positively correlated with self-esteem(r=0.52,P＜0.01) ,extraversion(r=0.47, P＜0.01) ,and negatively correlated with psychoticism(r=-0.34, P＜0.01), neuroticism(r=-0.32, P＜0.01).Self-esteem and extraversion could make positive predictions,while psychoticism and neuroticism could make negative predictions to the resilience of disabled persons.Conclusion The disabled Persons' personality is closely related with resilience and has significant predictions to resilience.

Objective To develop social integration scale of the disabled,and to test the reliability and validity of the scale.Methods 511 disabled persons were investigated by self-made social integration scale and Chinese version of positive and negative affect schedule (PANAS-C).Results The Scale was composed of three factors:self integration,relationship integration and affection integration,and they explained 47.39％ of variance.The theoretical model fit could be accepted (x2/df =2.051,P＜0.001;RMSEA =0.046;GFI =0.884;CFI =0.926;IFI =0.927).The factors had significant correlated with positive affect (r=0.34-0.55,P＜0.01)and positive affect (r=-0.12--0.32,P＜0.01).The high score group and low score group of social integration had significant differences in positive affect (t=13.77,P＜0.01)and negative affect(t=-7.58,P＜0.01).The cronbach's alpha coefficients of the scale and the three factors were 0.94,0.92,0.87 and 0.89 respectively,and the seven sub-factors'cronbach 's alpha coefficients were from 0.76 to 0.87.Conclusion The theory construct of social integration of the disabled is multi-hierarchical and multi-dimensional.The scale has acceptable reliability and validity,and can be used to assess the degree of social integration of the disabled.

Objective To explore the effects of general anesthesia combined thoracic paraverte-bral block on postoperative pain and fast track single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS).Methods Thirty patients,including male 20 and female 10,received single-port VATS were randomly and equally divided into two groups:group C received general anesthesia only,and group T received ultrasound-guided thoracic paravertebral nerve block combined with general anesthe-sia.Both groups did not use the patient-controlled analgesia,if insufficient analgesia happened (rest-ing VAS scores>4),than used dezocine intravenously as additional analgesia (a single-dose 5-20 mg, no more than 120 mg per day).The Ramsay scores at 1,4,8,12 h after the surgery and the mechani-cal withdrawal threshold on the day before the surgery,at 4,8,12,24 h after the surgery were recor-ded.The first time of post-operation pain feedback,the consumption of dezocine in the first 24 h after surgery,the incidence rates of side effects,the first time off-bed and the hospital stays were also re-corded.Results Compared with group C,the Ramsay scores at 8,12 h postoperatively in group T significantly decreased (P <0.05),and the mechanical withdrawal threshold at 4,8 h postoperatively significantly increased (P <0.05).The first time of post-operation pain feedback in group T was sig-nificantly longer than group C (P <0.05).The consumption of dezocine in the first 24 h after surgery significantly decreased in group T (P <0.05).The first time off-bed and the hospital stays in group T were shorter than group C (P <0.05).Also,the incidence rates of nausea,vomiting in the first 24 h postoperatively were lower in group T (P < 0.05 ).Conclusion General anesthesia combined with single-injected thoracic paravertebral nerve block can effectively relieve the postoperative pain in pa-tients undergoing single-port VATS,reduce the consumption of opioids in the first 24 h postopera-tively,cutting down the occurring rates of adverse reactions,which was beneficial to early ambulate and shortened the hospital stays.
