Objective Vertebral benign and malignant tumors were intractable in the treatment. Previous treatment methods had their own deficiency. The introduction of percutaneous vertebroplasty brought a breakthrough in the treatment. The initial experience of the treatment of vertebral malignant and benign tumors with percutaneous vertebraplasty was analyzed in this clinical research. Methods and materials The treatment of seven cases of vertebral hemangiomas and 11 cases of vertebral malignant tumors were reported. Unipedicular or bipedicular approaches were used in 17 cases, and in one case of cervical hemangioma, the cervical anterior-lateral approach was adopted. 15-20% of bone cement was mixed and injected into the vertebral lesions and made to distribute and cast in the lesions. Results Good results were got in all the 18 cases. After 0.5-7ml of cement was injected into the lesions. The complete relief was got in 10 cases and sub-complete relief was achieved in 6 cases and medial relief was got in two cases. One to nine months of postoperative follow-ups found no recurrences. Conclusions The treatment of vertebral benign and malignant tumors with percutaneous vertebraplasty was mini-invasive, safe, and effective.

Objective To investigate the incidence and risk factors of acute kidney injury (AKI) after craniocerebral injury. Methods A single cohort of 791 patients who suffered from craniocerebral injury from January 2008 to January 2010 in the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University were prospectively analyzed.Craniocerebral injury was defined according to definite medical history of craniocerebral injury, the verification of CT and Glasgow coma scale (GCS) score.AKI was defined as a relative 50% increase or an absolute increment of 26.4 μmol/L in Scr within 48 hours and/or urine volume <0.5 ml·kg-1·h-1 up to 6 h.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to evaluate possible risk factors associated with post-craniocerebral injury AKI.Results Of the 791 patients, the incidence of AKI was 39.4%.In hospital mortality of AKI patients was 27.9%,which was 5.065 times of non-AKI patients (P<0.01).The incidence of AKI in patients with lower GCS score (≤8 score, heavy group)was 69.7%,which was significantly higher as compared to moderate and mild groups (P<0.01).Unconditional multivariate Logistic regression analysis revealed that lower GCS score (≤ 8 score),hypotension (systolic pressure<90 mm Hg),elderly and male were the independent predictors of AKI episodes, the corresponding OR values were 2.932,2.176,1.789,1.544 respectively. Conclusions AKI is a common complication after craniocerebral injury.Lower GCS score, hypotension, elderly and male are the independent risk factors of AKI in patients after craniocerebral injury.
6.Progress in molecular genetic studies of retinitis pigmentosa.
Chinese Journal of Medical Genetics 2015;32(2):280-283
Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a group of inherited disorders which involve photoreceptors of the retina and can lead to visual loss. The genetic and clinical phenotypes of RP feature high heterogeneity. RP can be divided into nonsyndromic and syndromic types, both may feature autosomal dominant, autosomal reccesive and X-linked inheritance. So far, many genes have been identified, most of which are expressed in the photoreceptors or retinal pigment epithelium. Sixty-three genes have been identified in nonsyndromic RP. This paper reviews recent progress in the research of the genetics of RP.

By using data mining technology, the characteristics of acupoints selection of modern moxibustion for primary dysmenorrhea (PD) were analyzed. The modern literature regarding moxibustion for PDl was coll6cted~ from a comprehensive retrieval in Chinese Biomedical Medicine (CBM), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP and PubMed. The prescription database of moxihustion was established, and the association rule4 method of data mining technology was adopted to analyze characteristics and rules of acupoints selection of modern moxibustion for PD. As a result, a total of 35 acupoints were involved with a total frequency of 399. The acupoints, with higher selected frequency included Guanyuan (CV 4, 90 times), Sanyinjiao (SP 6, 47 times), Shenque (CV 8, 43 times), Zhongji (CV 3, 3 times) and Qihai (CV 6, 28 tirmes); the ratio of yin-meridian acupoints to1 yang-meridian acupoints was approximately 341; the utilization of the specific acupoints accountedfor68. 6% (24/35); the crossing acupoints were used mostly (203 "times), featured with high acupoints selected, especially Guanyuan (CV 4), Sanyinjiao CSP 6) and Zhongji (CV 3); the front-mu points (130 times), he-sa points (19 times) and lower he-sea points (18 times) were frequently used. The results reveal thiat acupoints selection of moxibustion of PD focuses on the local acupoints and comnbination with the distal acupoints. The yin-meridian acupoints are preferred and the specific acupoints are the main part of the prescription. This conclusion can also be used to optimize the choosing of acupoints in clinic.
