Skeletal Class III malocclusion is a complex malformation with a prevalence of 81.6% in Airlangga University Dental Hospital, distributed in patients aged 15-45 years old. Camouflage treatment of skeletal Class III malocclusion improves prognosis with a mild-to-moderate shift.
This study aimed to discuss orthodontic camouflage as an option for adult patients with Class III malocclusion,
emphasizing its indications, implications, and expected results.
This report presents the case of a 17-year-old male patient with poor facial aesthetics associated with protruded
chin, abnormal functional shift, and temporomandibular joint pain. The facial profile was concave with lower
anterior multiple diastemas, mandibular lip protrusion, mandibular displacement, and anterior crossbite. This case was treated by camouflage therapy using straight wire appliance system combined with elastic class III.
After 24 months of treatment during the pandemic, the mandibular displacement and the crossbite were corrected, the teeth were arched, the anterior crossbite fixed, and the profile became convex.
Camouflage orthodontic treatment can be an effective management option to achieve functional occlusion, stability, and a satisfactory aesthetic impression in adult patients with mild to moderate skeletal Class III deformities, anterior cross bite, and functional shift.

Journal of the Korean Ophthalmological Society 2000;41(7):1626-1630
Unilateral acute idiopathic maculopathy is a rare, self limiting disorder that affects healthy young adults with sudden, severe loss of central vision. We diagnosed bilateral acute idiopathic maculopathy in a 17-year-old man who experienced sudden, rapidly progressive central visual loss following a flu-like illness and report this case with a review of the literatures.

Background: According to statistical data of the Vietnam Ministry of Health, there were 124,223 people with positive HIV, 23,661 AIDS patients and 13,649 AIDS- related deaths up to April 30th 2007. The major transmission route is injection. Objectives: (1) To compare the characteristics of drug use in users with different time. (2) To describe the health issues and health service access of young male drug users. Subjects and method: A cross-sectional survey was carried out using a combination of medical anthropology and epidemiology methods. 1.115 young male drug users in Ha Noi between September 2004 and September 2005 were divided into 4 groups of the equivalence number, but with different drug using history. Results and conclusion: The newer drug users (within 2 years) started using drug later than the older ones, more of them started using by injecting; they transfer from smoking/sniffing to injecting as well as trying and using more different types of drugs together in shorter time than others. The proportion of HIV (+) infection in these people was higher, which states the necessity of intervention to help them enhance their knowledge to prevent HIV infection amongst themselves. Mental health care is also needed for drug users, the demand for mental health care increases with the time of drug usage.

A case of fibroepithelial polyp on vulvoperineal area is described. Her age is 20 year old and the tumor measured 9 cm in its largest diameter and was connected to the left labium majus. This case is very unusual in that almost all reported vulvar fibroepithelial polyps are small and sessile, and should distinguish from malignant cancer. We have experienced an unusually large vulvoperineal mass that was surgically excised and histologically diagnosed as benign fibroepithelial polyp and present this case with a brief review of literature.

Korean Journal of Anatomy 2003;36(6):499-506
It was known that lateral view of caucasian's face is projected roundly, however, that of Asian's face is flat relatively. The aim of this study was to investigate the facial depths of Korean and to find the existence of the difference with Caucasian. We used the standardized photographs of 852 individuals (559 men, 293 women) of Korean young adults between 20~39 years old and measured items using image analyzer. Measurement items were five anterior-posterior lengths between points from tragion to sellion, pronasale, subnasale, stomion, and gnathion. The facial depth of the Korean showed no significant difference based on laterality. Items such as tragion-sellion length, tragion-pronasale length, and tragion-subnasale length were showed minor difference according to gender. As results that compared upper, middle, and lower facial depths with caucasian, Korean had generally short facial depths. The lateral shape of face of Korean showed relatively flat, because the lower facial depth was longest due to projection of mandibular part especially.
