Abstract: Objective To investigate the dynamic changes and clinical significance of specific antibodies in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Methods A retrospective study was conducted to collect 141 adult COVID-19 survivors who were followed up in the Eighth Hospital affiliated to Guangzhou Medical University from February 6, 2020, to March 24, 2021. The patients were divided into severe group (severe and critical) and non-severe group (light and ordinary) according to the diagnosis at discharge. The antibody changes of the two groups were compared and analyzed at 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year after discharge. Results After discharge from hospital, the positive rate of IgG in the severe group was 95.00% after 1 week and 100.00% in the following year, in the positive rate of IgG in the non-severe group was 59.50% after 1 week, 90.08% in 6 months and 76.03% in one year. The level of serum IgG in the severe group was significantly higher than that in non-severe group (Z=-2.441, P=0.015). One-year follow-up: the serum IgG in the severe group was significantly higher than that in the non-severe group (Z=-3.410, P=0.001). The serum IgM level of the severe group after one year follow-up was lower than that of the six months follow-up, the difference was statistically significant (Z=-2.259, P=0.024). The serum IgG and IgM level of the non-severe group after one year follow-up was lower than that of the six months follow-up, the difference was statistically significant (Z=-7.37, P<0.01; Z=3.850, P<0.01). Conclusion The level of serum protective antibody in COVID-19 patients remained high within 6 months after discharge, and remained stable within 1 year after discharge. The antibody titers in the severe group were significantly higher than those in the non-severe group and lasted for at least one year. COVID-19 survivors receive 1 year of natural immune protection, and patients with critical conditions receive immunity for longer periods of time.

Objective: To explorate the drug releasing rule in vitro of Maxingshigan Dropping pill and Suppository. Methods: Their dissolution rates in vitro were determined by the rotary basket method, the contents of total alkaloid in ephedra alkaloid in the two preparations were determined by acidic dye colorimetry, and they were used as markers of dissolution.Results:The dissolution quantity in 45 min of Dropping pill reached 100%, whereas that of suppository reached 92.58%. AIM:To investigate the efficacy of controlled continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis(CCC) technique in short axial length and shallow anterior chamber eyes.METHODS:Sixty-eight patients(68 eyes) with short axial length and shallow anterior chamber were included.The routine CCC technique was used in 32 cases (32 eyes) and controlled CCC technique was used in 36 cases (36 eyes).The success rate and complication were compared between two groups. RESULTS:The success rate of the routine technique group and controlled technique group was 53. 13% and 86.11% respectively. Incomplete CCC leading to posterior capsule tears was 9.38% and zero in two groups respectively.CONCLUSION: Controlled CCC technique can increase the success rate and reduce complications in short axial length and shallow anterior chamber eyes.KEYWORDS:phacoemulsification; continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis; complication

Objective To explore the impact of short-term meditation on ego-depletion in college students.Methods Sixty college students without any meditation and mental calculation experience were recruited voluntarily,and were allocated randomly and equally into three groups: the control group,the rest group,and the meditation group(n=20 in each group).Participants completed the positive affect and negative affect scale and the first handgrip test.A difficult mental calculation task was used to induce ego depletion.After that,the control group performed the second handgrip test immediately,and the rest group had a 5-min break,while the meditation group had a 5-min meditation practice following a meditation audio.Participants then reported the task difficulty and the impulse to write down intermediate answers during the mental calculation task.They also finished the positive and negative affect scale again.The task difficulty and impulse scores,the number of response items and correct items,the change of the handgrip time and the mood between pretest and posttest were compared among three groups.Results There were no differences in the task difficulty score,the impulse score,the number of response items and correct items among the three groups (all P>0.05).The handgrip time was shorter in posttest ((71.91±24.58) s) than in pretest ((91.39±37.63) s) in the control group (P<0.05).The handgrip time was also shorter in posttest ((81.75±25.77) s) than in pretest ((97.88±33.77) s) in the rest group (P<0.05).However,the difference between the handgrip time in posttest ((82.21±34.63) s) and in pretest ((83.11±42.45) s) was not significant in the meditation group (P>0.05).There were no differences in the change of positive and negative affect between pretest and posttest (all P>0.05).Conclusions hort-term meditation buffers ego depletion in college students,which cannot be attributed to affect.

Objective:To explore whether implicit priming of self-awareness can prevent self-control depletion.Methods:Totally 60 college students volunteers were recruited,and were allocated pseudo-randomly and equally into the control group,the non-self-awareness priming group,and the self-awareness priming group,20 volunteers in each group.The scrambled sentence task was applied in implicit priming,the mental calculation task was used to induce self-control depletion indexed by task difficulty,the impulse to write down the intermediate answers,the number of response items and correct items,the handgrip test was used to measure self-control performance,and the Positive Affect and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS) was used to measure affect.The self-control depletion,the handgrip time and the PANAS scores were compared among three groups.Results:There was no significant difference in task difficulty score,impulse score,the number of response items and correct items among the three groups (Ps ＞0.05).The group differences of the change of positive and negative affect before and after depletion were also not significant (Ps ＞0.05).After controlling the effect of the first handgrip time before depletion,the difference of the handgrip time after depletion between the control group and the non-self-awareness priming group was not significant (P ＞ 0.05).However,the handgrip time in the controI group and in the non-self-awareness group were both shorter than that in the self-awareness priming group [(69.2 ± 3.6) s,(71.1 ± 3.6) s vs.(81.9 ± 3.6) s,Ps ＜0.05].Conclusions:It suggests that implicit priming of self-awareness might hold promise in preventing self-control depletion.

Objective To investigate the effects of exposure to cigarette smoke on the counts and functions of tolerogenic dendritic cells(tDC) and regulatory T cells(Treg) in a mouse model of asthma. Methods Forty female BALB/c mice at age 20 days were randomly allocated into four groups including the normal saline ( NS)/air treatment group, the NS/cigarette smoke ( CS) treatment group, the ovalbumin (OVA)/air treatment group and the OVA/CS treatment group (n=10).A mouse model of asthma was es-tablished by intraperitoneally injecting OVA in an interval of two weeks to cigarette smoke for three weeks. The percentages of Treg cells in PBMCs and the changes of CD80 and CD86 expression on the surface of DCs of the mice in each group were analyzed by flow cytometry analysis.The transcriptional levels of forkhead box P3 ( Foxp3) in lung tissues were measured by real-time quantitative PCR.The levels of IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12p40, IL-17A and TGF-β1 in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid ( BALF) samples were measured by ELISA.Results Exposing young mice to cigarette smoke significantly increased the percentages of Treg cells in PBMCs and the expression of Foxp3 at mRNA level in lung tissues of mice with asthma.High levels of TGF-β1 and IL-10 were detected in BALF samples of the heathy mice and those with asthma exposed to CS at a young age.The mice with asthma exposed to CS at an early age showed decreased expression of CD80 and CD86 on the surface of DCs.Lower levels of IL-12p40 and IL-6 and higher levels of IFN-γ, IL-4 and IL-17A in BALF samples were observed in mice from the OVA/CS treatment group.Conclusion Expo-sing to cigarette smoke at an early age was involved in the dysfunction of T cell-mediated immune responses in mice with asthma.This study might provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of asthma.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for health service support at high altitude area. METHODS:375 servicemen who rapidly entered high altitude area were investigated by questionnaire in 2013 to investigate the compliance of using high alti-tude special medicines and incidence of mountain sickness and analyze its correlation. RESULTS:375 questionnaires were distribut-ed and 324 questionnaires were collected with effective response rate of 86.4%. The utilization rate of Multivitamin tablet,Skin cream and Lip balm for high altitude area were 30.9%,13.3% and 40.1% respectively. The compliance of using high altitude spe-cial medicines had effect on the incidence of related mountain sickness. The incidence of mountain sickness of people who followed the physician’s instructions was significantly lower than those who did not. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:High altitude special medicines can relieve and prevent the mountain sickness. But the overall compliance of us-ing high altitude special medicines was not ideal. The education of high altitude special medicines should be strengthened,and dos-age forms and medicine instruction should be enhanced to improve its compliance and play better protective effect.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of repairing soft tissue defects of foot and ankle by sural neurovascular adipofascial flap.Methods Application of sural neurovascular adipofascial flap to repaire soft tissue defects of foot and ankle in 19 patients,inclouding 3 csaes with the soft tissue defects of medial malleolus and 16 cases of dorsum pedis from May,2006 to May,2013.The size of soft tissue defects was 3 cm ×3 cm-7 cm ×9 cm.The skin of the donor site was sutured directly.The recipient area was reshaped granulation and underwent free skin graft after the adipofascial flap survived.Results After followed up of 3-18 months,the adipofascial flaps were all survived,the recipient area was almost flat with the surrounding tissue,the donor area only leaving linear scar,the appearance and function of donor area and adopt area were satisfactory.The sensation of lateral dorsal region of foot decreased to S3,and the sensation of recipient site recovered to S2.There were some changes in pigmentation with the skin graft region.Conclusion Sural neurovascular adipofascial flap can be effectively repaired soft tissue defects of foot and ankle,and it can avoid irregularity of donor area and enlargement of adopt area,the appearance and function were satisfactory.

Objective To observe the clinical effect of combination of Tongxiening granule and Mesalazine on treating mild and moderate ulcerative colitis(UC) .Methods Totally 380 patients with mild‐to‐moderate UC diagnosed through endoscopy were allocated to the control group (n=190) and observation group(n=190) .For the observation group ,patients were remedied with the combination of Tongxiening Granules and the Mesalazine by oral administration for eight weeks ,meanwhile the control group only received the Mesalazine for eight weeks .The total effective rate of the two groups were statistically analyzed ,and the levels of ser‐um MMP‐2 and MMP‐9 before and after treatment in the two groups were measured .The expression of S100A12 and RAGE were detected by immunohistochemistry SP method .Results The total effective rate of the observation group and the control group was 94 .74% and 89 .47% respectively ,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0 .01) .After treatment ,the expression levels of MMP‐2 and MMP‐9 in the two groups were decreased ,additionally the expression levels in the observation group was lower than those in the control group ,and the difference was statistically significant (P< 0 .01) .After treatment ,the expression levels of RAGE and S100A12 in the observation group were decreased ,and there was a significant difference when compared with the control group(P<0 .01) .Conclusion Combined application of Tongxiening Granules and Mesalazine in treating patients with mild‐to‐mod‐erate UC could better improve clinical symptoms and bring better therapeutic effect than single use of Mesalazine .
