1.A related study of the type A Behavior, the level of BDNF and hypersensitive C-reactive protein in patients with post stroke depression in acute ischemic stroke

Objective To investigate the type A behavior, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels in serum in patients with post stroke depression (PSD) ,and explore the correlation between them.Methods The HAMD-17 was used to assess the severity of depressive symptoms in patients with stroke (n=116).TABP,Social Support Scale, MMSE, NIHSS,mRS and BI were measured in PSD group(n=36) and non PSD group(NPSD group, n=80);fast blooding samples were analyzed with BDNF and hs-CRP in patients with PSD group, NPSD group and healthy controls (NC group).Results (1) The incidence of acute PSD was 31.03%.(2)The constituent ratio of type A behavior(83.33% vs 57.50%), CH scores, TH +CH scores were significantly higher in PSD group than NPSD group(P<0.01).Social Support Scale scores,MMSE scores were significantly lower in PSD group than NPSD group(P<0.01, P<0.05).NIHSS scores,mRS scores were significantly higher in PSD group than NPSD group, BI scores were significantly lower(P<0.01).(3) The levels of serum BDNF,hs-CRP in the PSD group,the NPSD group and the normal control group were respectively (BDNF (617.24(274.98,976.22)) pg/ml, (938.19(615.88,1 714.76)) pg/ml, (4 149.46(1 658.83,7 583.34)) pg/ml);(hs-CRP(6.47(2.66,11.21)) mg/L, 1.77(0.74,6.51) mg/L, (0.86(0.47,1.59)) mg/L).The BDNF levels of PSD group were significantly lower and hs-CRP levels were significantly higher than NPSD group (P<0.01).(4) The severity of depression was positively correlated with CH,TH+CH scores(r=0.38, P<0.05;r=0.43, P<0.01).CH scores were negatively correlated with social support(r=-0.38, P<0.05),and were positively correlated with hs-CRP levels(r=0.34, P<0.05).Conclusion In patients with post stroke depression,the BDNF levels decrease and hs-CRP levels increase,but severity of depression and cognitive function are not correlated with BDNF levels.Hostility and competition(CH) are correlated with the increasing hs-CRP levels.Patients with type A behavior, especially high CH scores, have immune system dysfunction and lower social support.Hostility and excessive competition are psychosocial risk factors occurring PSD.
2.Determination of Paracetamol and Vitamin C in Wei C Yinqiao Tablets by HPLC

Objective: To establish a HPLC for determination of paracetamol and vitamin C in Wei C Yinqao Tablets. Methods: A Hypersil C 18 column(4.6?250mm,5?m) was used with a mobile phase of 0.02mol/L potassium dihydrogen phosphate acetonitrile (90∶10). The detection wavelength was 249nm. Results: The average recoveries of paracetamol and vitamin C were 100.5%(RSD was 1.33) and 98.7%(RSD was 1.68%), respectively. Conclusion: The method is simple, rapid and accurate. It can be used for quantitative analysis of Wei C Yinqiao Tablets.
3.Surgical treatment of mammary duct fistula

Objective To compare the effect of the different operation for mammary duct fistula (MDF). Method The clinical data of 85 cases of MDF were analysed retrospectively. Continuous section examinations between the multiple fistula was performed in 3 cases undergoing breastectomy.Results Among the 85 cases with 146 MDF, the opening located within 5cm around areola in 129 cases. MDF incision was performed on 38 cases, 34 cases cured, 4 cases recurred;MDF resection was performed in 44 cases, all the 44 cases were cured;simple mastectomy was performed on 3 cases of extensive breast inflammation,all the 3 cases cured. Conclusions Most of MDF occurs in main mammary duct. Most of the opening of MDF are around the areola. MDF incision or resection is the first choice of operation.
4.Minimally Invasive Surgery Treatment with Small Incision on Hypertensive Intracerebral Hemorrhage

Objective To explore the principle and methods of normative minimally invasive surgery treatment on hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage. Methods 49 cases of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage were treated by microsurgery with small incision. Results 46 cases survived and 3 cases died after surgery. 42 cases were followed up. Adopting GOS, 19 cases were normal, 12 cases were disable and could care for self, 5 cases were severely disable, sober and could not care for self, 3 cases were vegetable survival, and 3 cases were dead. Conclusion Application of minimally invasive surgery idea and normative treatment according to the patients' condition can obviously improve the efficacy of patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage.
5.Acupoint combination method of five-door and ten-change and its clinical application.

According to two kinds of acupoint combination methods for Huahe and Huhe in five-door and ten-change theory proposed by the deceased Taiwanese famous acupuncturist Mr. ZHOU Zuo-yu, the origin of the change theory proposed by the deceased Taiwanese famous acupuncturist Mr. ZHOU Zuo-yu, the origin of the acupoint combination method of five-door and ten-change is introduced. This method combines traditional philosophy of Yi with medicine, which is featured with casual timing, casual pattern, capacity to be combined with TCM syndrome differentiation, specific application scope and pertinence. Some clinical cases are additionally presented to verify this method. Huhe method is mostly used for Bi-syndrome while Huahe method has better effects on internal medicine diseases. They open the new thinking methods for clinical acupoint selection.

6.A quadrature demodulation method based on DSP Builder and the circuit design used in EIT

Objective To design and develop a quadrature demodulation circuit for detection of ampli-tude and phase information in EIT measurement. Methods A model structure file was built in matlab/simulink using the elements in Ahera DSP Builder and verified by simulated stimulation. Then the model file was convert-ed to VHDL file via Signal Compiler, and the synthesis, adaptation, simulation and hardware implementation were accomplished. Results The simulation and testing results show that the circuit can extract the real and imagi-nary information of the measured signal and it also meets the EIT measuring requirement, with acceptable mea-sure error. Conclusion The demodulation circuit based on DSP Builder can precisely give real and imaginary information of EIT and provides technological support for full-information complex impedance measurement.
7.Clinical Study on Qujun Tongyou Decoction Combined with Proton Pump Inhibitors and ;Bismuth in Treatment of Helicobacter Pylori Associated Gastric Diseases

Objective To observe the curative effect of Qujun Tongyou Decoction instead of antibiotics in treatment of Helicobacter pylori (HP) associated gastric disease, and explore the mechanism of action. Methods In 236 patients, 140 cases of newly diagnosed patients were randomly divided into treatment group of 80 cases and control group of 60 cases, 96 cases of retreatment patients were randomly divided into treatment group of 56 cases and control group of 40 cases. The control group was given western quadruple therapy:newly diagnosed patients with rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated capsules+colloidal bismuth pectin+Amoxicillin Capsules+clarithromycin dispersible tablets;retreatment patients with rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated capsules+colloidal bismuth pectin+metronidazole tablets+levofloxacin tablets. The treatment group was given rabeprazole sodium enteric coated capsules and colloidal bismuth pectin plus Qujun Tongyou Decoction. All patients were treated for 2 weeks. 1, 3, 6 months after treatment, 14C-urea breath test was detected, HP negative rate, recurrence rate, clinical symptoms, and adverse reaction were observed. Results HP negative rate, the total effective rate and the recurrence rate in treatment group were different with the control group (P<0.05). There was significant difference in the rate of symptom control between treatment group and the control group (P<0.01). No adverse reaction showed in treatment group. Conclusion Rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated capsules and colloidal bismuth pectin combined with Qujun Tongyou Decotion can effectively inhibit and kill HP, promote the repair and healing of ulcer, control symptoms, reduce HP recurrence, lessen adverse reaction, is effective in the treatment of HP associated gastric diseases.
8.Relationship of HPV 16 and HPV 18 with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in Minnan area

To detect the expression of the human papilloma virus (HPV) 16 and HPV18 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in Minnan area. Methods: Real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (FQ-PCR) was applied to detect HPV DNA in 100 esophageal carcinoma sample and 100 normal tissues beside the tumor. Results:The positive rates of high-risk HPV 16 and HPV 18 infection in Minnan esophageal carcinoma and in normal tissues beside the tumor were 14.00%, 15.00%and 7.00%, 8.00%, respectively. The positive rates of lymph node and non-lymph node metastases were 40.98%and 10.25%, respectively. These re-sults exhibited statistical significance (P<0.01). HPV 16 and HPV 18 infection was uncorrelated with patient age, pathological type, and tumor grade (P>0.05). Conclusion:HPV16 and HPV 18 infection was correlated to esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in Minnan ar-eas. Such infection may also contribute to the occurrence and development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
9. Analysis on SSR loci in transcriptome and development of molecular markers in Polygonatum cyrtonema

Objective: EST-SSR loci were identified and analyzed based on the transcriptome sequencing data in Polygonatum cyrtonema, in order to develop SSR markers suitable for evaluation and application of germplasm resources on P. cyrtonema. Methods: SSR loci were identified and analyzed in all of 126 544 Unigenes by using MISA tool. SSR primers were designed by using Primer 3.0 software and 50 pairs of SSR primers were randomly selected for validation test. Results: A total of 12 317 SSR loci, including the types of 2-6 nucleotide repeats with occurring frequency of 1/5.91 kb, were identified from 9 982 Unigenes in P. cyrtonema transcriptome. The distribution frequency of SSRs was 9.73%. Dinucleotide repeat was the main type, accounting for as much as 53.14% of all SSRs, followed by trinucleotide repeat (33.31%). The validation test on 50 pairs of SSR primers showed that 29 of them (58%) generated fragments with expected molecular size from P. cyrtonema. The capillary electrophoresis using fluorescence-labeled SSR markers showed that nine genotypes were identified at seven SSR loci in P. cyrtonema, which further demonstrated the validity of these SSR primers. Conclusion: There are numerous SSRs in P. cyrtonema transcriptome with high frequency, rich repeat types and relatively high polymorphic, which will provide abundant valuable candidate markers for genetic diversity analysis and genetic mapping construction in P. cyrtonema, also can be used as a technical tool for molecular identification among Polygonatum species and for molecular marker assistant breeding in superior cultivars of P. cyrtonema.

In this article, the projects in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics funded by NSFC during "10th Five Year Plan" (2001~2005) in China were reviewed. The major research fields of these projects in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics funded by NSFC during the financial years were overviewed and analyzed. Finally, current problems in these research fields in China were also briefly analyzed.
