Objective To observe the effects of comprehensive psychological interventions in the treatment of abnormal blinking in children. Methods One hundred and sixty-three children diagnosed with abnormal blinking were randomly assigned into a basic treatment group or a comprehensive psychological intervention (CPI) group. Both groups received etiology-based therapy, while the CPI group received CPI in addition. After follow-up for six months, the therapeutic effectiveness and recurrence were evaluated. Results Abnormal blinking was significantly reduced in both groups after treatment, but the CPI group showed significantly better effectiveness than the group which received only basic treatment.Furthermore, the CPI group showed significantly less recurrence at 3-and 6-month follow-up.Conclusion CPI is more effective than basic treatment in treating abnormal blinking among children and results in less recurrence.

AIM:To investigate the role of Shengmai Powder (Radix Ginseng, Radix Ophiopogonis and Fructus schisandrae) (SMP) in treatmen of hemorrhagic shock in rabbits. METHODS: The concentrations of endothelin (ET), tumor necrosis factor (TNF), ? endorphin (? EP) and nitric oxide (NO), the activity of nitric oxide synthase (NOS) in plasma were respectively tested by different biochemical assays in hemorrhagic shock in rabbits. RESULTS: SMP could obviously decrease the ET,TNF,NO level and NOS activity ( P

Objective To establish the benign prostatic hyperplasia evaluation index system for nursing quality. Methods Indicators framework for perioperative nursing quality evaluation index system was built up by the theoretical research, clinical research, expert meetings approach firstly, then the Delphi method was used to screen and verify the indicators. Results Two rounds of consultation questionnaires were collected with rate of 86.0%, 95.3% respectively, the first round of consultation had the retention of 13 indicators, removed 4 indicators of those. After the second round, the average score of important target was no less than 8.0, and more than half of indicators had a full mark, coefficient of variation targets no higher than 0.20 were up to 100%. Coefficient of concordance of two rounds were 0.241 and 0.433 respectively. ConclusionsAfter two rounds of consultation, there were 13 quality indicators left and experts had well authoritativeness and representative.

Objective To perfect the prescription knowledge discovery methods; To discover the key factors affecting the robustness of prescription therapeutic model as well as improve its recognition capability. Methods Expanded knowledge base and improved design of Chinese Medicine Prescriptions Intelligence Analytic System (CPIAS) were proposed, such as the establishment of the heuristic filtering rules of efficacy-syndrome relationship, knowledge table of efficacy-syndrome element relationship, identification of efficacy-syndrome element relationship, and syndrome element-syndrome relationship. In addition, quantitative data were calculated by CPIAS. Prescription therapeutic modeling experiments on the Chinese medicine prescriptions system were conducted based on support vector machine (CPSVM), which was also used to analyze the learning outcomes. Results Using expanded knowledge base and improved calculation results can significantly promote learning abilities of CPSVM.Conclusion Screening of efficacies, sorting of symptoms, and collection of syndrome elements are the key factors affecting the quality of prescription therapeutic model.

Objective To discuss the treatment of femoral fracture combined with ipsilateral acetabular fracture and femoral head dislocation and the reasons for the misdiagnosis of the injury. Methods According to AO classification, there were 3 cases of type 32A, 2 of type 32B, and 1 of type 32C, who were treated with internal fixation of interlocking nails. There was 1 case of type 33C3, who was treated with femoral condyle supporting plate. There were 2 cases of type 31A2, who were treated with DHS. According to the Letournel classification, fracture of the acetabular posterior wall was found in 8 cases and fracture of the acetabular posterior column and wall in 1 case. All the cases of acetabular fracture were treated with internal fixation of titanium alloy reconstructive plates. Delayed diagnosis was found in 2 cases in this group. Results The 9 patients were followed up for 13 to 38 months (averaging 22.4 months). According to the American criteria, 8 cases was rated as excellent, and 1 case as good, with thd total excellent and good rate being 100%. Conclusions Femoral fractures combined with ipsilateral acetabular fracture and femoral head dislocation are a rare, complex and serious injury. They usually involve other organs, and are easy to be misdiagnosed. The surgeries should be done as early as possible. The internal fixation plays a key role in management of the fracture of acetabular.

Objective: To observe the effect of different moxibustion durations on rats with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to evaluate the relationship between moxibustion amount and moxibustion efficacy. Methods: Eight rats were randomly selected as a normal group from the 40 male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats, and the other 32 rats were used to establish typeⅡ collagen-induced RA models. After successful modeling, the 32 rats were randomly divided into a model group, a moxibustion for 20 min group, a moxibustion for 40 min group and a moxibustion for 60 min group, with 8 rats in each group. Rats in the normal group did not receive modeling and moxibustion intervention; rats in the model group did not receive moxibustion after modeling; rats in the moxibustion for 20 min group, the moxibustion for 40 min group and the moxibustion for 60 min group were treated with moxibustion at Shenshu (BL 23) and Zusanli (ST 36) for 20 min, 40 min and 60 min, respectively. Six days were a course of treatment, with a total of 3-course treatments and a 1-day rest between the courses of treatment. After treatment, the serum levels of interleukin (IL)-1β and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, arthritis index (AI) scores, toe volumes and pathological score of synovitis were evaluated in the rats. Results: Compared with the normal group, the serum IL-1β and TNF-α levels, and the toe volumes in the model group were increased, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01), before the treatment. Compared with the model group, the serum IL-1β and TNF-α levels, toe volumes and arthritis index (AI) scores were significantly decreased in the moxibustion for 20 min group, the moxibustion for 40 min group and the moxibustion for 60 min group (P<0.05 orP<0.01 ). Compared with the moxibustion for 20 min group and the moxibustion for 60 min group, serum IL-1β and TNF-α levels, toe volumes and AI scores were decreased more significantly in moxibustion for 40 min group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05 orP<0.01). There were no significant differences in serum IL-1β and TNF-α levels, AI scores and toe volumes between the moxibustion for 20 min group and the moxibustion for 60 min group (allP>0.05). The synovial histopathological improvement was the most obvious in the moxibustion for 40 min group, when the synovial histopathological changes were compared among the moxibustion for 20 min group, moxibustion for 40 min group and moxibustion for 60 min group. Conclusion: The therapeutic efficacy of moxibustion for 40 min in RA rats was more significant than that of moxibustion for 20 min and moxibustion for 60 min, indicating that the duration of moxibustion is the main factor affecting its therapeutic efficacy.
