1.Studies on Hemostatic Activity and Pharmacology of Shenxueling
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(03):-
Pharmacology of Shpnxueling(SXL),a traditional Chinese medicine used for the treatment of idiopathicthrombocytopenic purpura, and its hemostatic activity were studied in experimental animals. Results showedthat SXL shortened the time of bleeding and coagulation, raised BPC in mice, increased platelet megakaryocyteproduction in rabbit, prolong the time of swiming of 1oaded mice, increased body liver and kidney weights ofyoung mice, increased p1asma cortisol Ievel. Acute and chronic toxicity tests reveaIed that SXL was nontoxicto mice or rats. These results suggested that hemostasis was associated with effects of SXl, which could faci1i-tate division and maturity of megakaryocyte, increase the BPC,accelerate coagulation and regulate the functionof endocrine. SXL could resist fatigue, endure hypoxia, faciIitate growth. lt is safe and nontoxic in its use of'SXL.
2.Clinical Study on Treatment of 61 Cases of Elderly Patients with Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer with Chinese Medicine Combined Chemotherapy
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2009;31(6):495-496
Objective To observe clinical effect of Chinese medicine combined chemotherapy in the treatment of elderly patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Methods 61 cases of elderly patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients were randomly recruited into two groups. 30 cases in treatment group, which was treated with Chinese medicine combined single-drug chemotherapy, 31 cases in control group, which was treated with Chinese medicine combined combination-chemotherapy. After 42 days of 2 cycle, the clinical effect of both groups was observed. Results The treatment group was superior to the control group on improvement of quality of life, symptomatic improvement, the toxicity of chemotherapy and treatment costs. The difference between the two groups were significant (P< 0.05) . Conclusion Chinese medicine combined single-drug chemotherapy in the treatment of elderly patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer is superior to combined combination-chemotherapy.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2009;31(5):464-466
This paper described the progress of treating elderly patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer both domestically and abroad. The advantages of Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine combined with chemotherapy were emphasized.
4.Research on 106 cases of aging patients died of malignant tumor
International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2010;32(4):341-342
Objective To analyze the development, treatment, death cause and survival situation of malignant tumor in aging patients Method Retrospectively analysis was made on 106 aging patients died of malignant tumors, who received the treatment in our hospital. Result Of all 106 patients, 102 patients were in advanced stage(Ⅲ+Ⅳstage), occupying 96.23%,most of who also had some other basic senile diseases; 96.23% patients had been treated with TCM, which exceeded the ones who were treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and operation. Some aging patients with tumor had better survival time than other age patients; the top three causes of death for tumor were respiratory failure, infection and congestive heart failure. Conclusion Most of aging patients with malignant tumor were in advanced stage, TCM treatment is easily to be accepted by patients, due to its fewer side effects. In the meantime, we should treat the basic senile diseases positively and prevent their complications.
7.The efficacy role of lycopene inimproving myocardial fibrosis by inhibiting p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases in myocardial infarction rats
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2014;33(3):298-301
Objective To observe the effect of lycopene on myocardial interstitial fibrosis and to explore the possible mechanisms involved. Methods Sprague-Dawley rat myocardial infarction (MI) model was established by left anterior descending coronary artery ligation.Established MI model rats received lycopene or saline. After 28 days, myocardial fibrosis was observed by Masson staining. The expressions of Ⅰ type collagen, matvix metalloproteina-ses-9 (MMP-9) and matrix metall opeptidaseg(MAPKs) protein were detected in the peri-infarcted zone by Western blotting. Results In MI group, collagen volume fraction (CVF) was increased and the protein expressions of collagen Ⅰ,P-p38 and MMP-9 were increased in the peri-infarcted zone as compared with the sham group [CVF:(21.68±4.63)% vs.(8.21±2.17)%; collagen Ⅰ:(1.58±0.22) vs.(0.97±0.09); P-p38:(1.93±0.44) vs.(0.85±0.21); MMP-9:(4.85±0.47) vs.(1.03±0.59); all P<0.05].Lycopene attenuated the increments of myocardial infarction-induced collagen Ⅰ,p38MAPK and MMP-9 expressions [collagen Ⅰ:(1.24 ± 0.24) vs.(1.58± 0.22) ; P-p38:(0.85 ± 0.21) vs.(1.93 ±0.44); MMP9:(1.77±0.28) vs.(4.85±0.47); all P<0.05],and decreased the collagen volume fraction in the peri-infarcted zone [CVF:(15.17±2.56)% vs.(21.68±4.63)%,P<0.05] as compared with the MI group. Conclusions Lycopene may improve ventricular remodeling after MI by inhibiting p38MAPK signaling pathway and MMP-9 expression.
8.Pathogenetic characteristics and therapeutic approaches of aplastic anemia.
Journal of Integrative Medicine 2003;1(1):74-6
According to TCM theory of the wholistic concept and the principles of syndrome differentiation and treatment, the characteristics of the pathogenesis of aplastic anemia (AA) were summarized and corresponding treatment was put forward on the basis of clinical observation and the study of literature. In the pathogenesis of AA, the deficiency of spleen and kidney is the primary aspect, fire attacking blood vessels is the secondary aspect and there is change because of blood stasis. In treatment, the method of invigorating spleen and tonifying kidney is adopted in order to get at the root, and releasing fire to stop bleeding is adopted in order to bring about a temporary solution, and activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis is adopted in order to produce blood. The outline should be caught hold of that consumption is primary aspect and fire is secondary aspect and there is change because of blood stasis in order to obtain satisfactory curative effect.

Twenty—two cases were treated with 5 cases markedly effective,9 cases fairly effective.6 cases improved.2 cases ineffective. The efficacy was stable, with nountoward reactions upon follow—up exam. All theimmunologic indexes and marrow megakaryocyteswere markedly improved.
10.Analysis on the Relevant Factors of Distribution of TCM Syndrome for Ankylosing Spondylitis
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(04):-
Objective To analyse the relevant factors of distribution of TCM syndrome for ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Methods 194 AS patients visiting the department of Rheumat Immunity, Guanganmen Hospital, were investigated in the way of horizontal study. And the relationship between TCM syndrome and age, sextuality, staging, grading of sacroiliac joint, laboratory index was studied. Results It was no significant difference of AS TCM syndrome with different age, sextuality, early、medium、advanced stage, and grading of sacroiliac joint. But it was different between the active stage and inactive stage. For the laboratory index, the ESR and CRP of each syndrome was different, while the comparison with the data of blood routine examination was no evident difference. Conclusion The distribution of AS TCM syndrome on active stage is mainly about the retention of damp-heat, and the inactive stage is mainly on the deficiency of kidney-yang syndrome. Compared with other sydromes, ERS and CRP in the syndrome of retention of damp-heat are significantly high. It is no significant changes of syndrome on aspects of different age, early、medium、advanced stages, and grading of sacroiliac joint.
