1.Clinical analysis to 11 cases of surgical treatment of primary cardiac and esophageal carcinoma of remnant stomach

Objective To report the surgical treatment results of cardiac and esophageal cancer of remnant stomach.Methods From 1980 to 2005,11 patients with cardiac and esophageal cancer of remnant stomach were treated surgically.Results Primary cardiac and esophageal carcinoma of remnant stomach developed in male patients more than females.Of 11 patients,7 underwent subtotal gastrectomy with Billroth Ⅱ reconstruction at first time.The mean interval between two operations was 13 years.Clinical symptoms frequently included abdominal distension,pain and hemorrhage.Thirty patients received radical resection.Conclusion Cancer in remnant stomach should be suspected in patients undergoing subtotal gastrectomy 5 years and over have clinical symptoms of upper gastrointestinal tract.Early diagnosis and early curative resection should be done.For esophageal cancer of remnant stomachmcolon reconstruction after the resection of esophageal cancer is recommmended.
2.Effects of matrine on apoptosis and related protein expression in human medulloblastoma D341 cells

AIM:To investigate matrine-induced apoptosis of human medulloblastoma D 341 cells and the ex-pression of Bax , Bcl-2, serine/threonine kinase Akt and phosphorylated Akt ( p-Akt) in vitro.METHODS: D341 cells were divided into experimental groups ( added with matrine at different concentrations ) and control group ( under the same conditions without matrine).The proliferation of D341 cells was analyzed by CCK-8 assay.Apoptosis was detected by An-nexin V-FITC/PI double staining and the expression of Bax , Bcl-2, Akt and p-Akt was detected by Western blotting .RE-SULTS:Matrine significantly inhibited the proliferation of D 341 cells and increased the apoptosis in a dose-and time-de-pendent manner .The cell apoptosis was characterized by chromatin condensation with margination of chromatin to the nu -clear membrane , increased when and larger cytoplasmic vacuoles , and formation of apoptotic body after treatment with ma-trine.The expression of Bax increased , while the expression of Bcl-2 and p-Akt decreased when the drug concentration gradually increased .CONCLUSION:Matrine induces the apoptosis of human medulloblastoma D 341 cells in vitro by acti-vation of Bax, down-regulation of Bcl-2 and reduction of p-Akt expression level in the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway.
3.Inhibition of combined application of arsenic trioxide and cisplatin in the HSQ-89 cells

Objective To discuss the anticancer role of arsenic trioxide (ATO) with cisplatin on human oral carcinoma HSQ-89 cells. Methods The human oral epidermoid HSQ-89 cells were chosen as the subjects. Different concentrations of ATO were added into Cisplatin(DDP)-treated cells. The inhibition rate of tumor cells was detected by MTT assay. Results Different concentrations of ATO (0,2.5,5,7.5,10,12.5 μmol/mL) were added into oral cancer HSQ-89 cells which have been treated with DDP (15 μg/mL). The inhibition rate of tumor cells were 26.9%, 67.5%, 73.0%, 88.5%, 90.4%, 98.7%respectively; The combined application of ATO with cisplatin could improve the inhibition rate of HSQ-89 cells in a dose-dependent relation. Conclusion The combined application of ATO and DDP can produce a synergistic action of inhibition on oral cancer cell.

ObjectiveTo observe the dynamics of antibodies and protection against Schistosoma japonicum infections in buffaloes after immunized with recombinant 26 kDa glutathione S transferase (reSjc26GST). Methods Buffaloes in 2 villages endemic for schistosomiasis japonica were selected as test and control groups, respectively.In test group initially 96 buffaloes were vaccinated with reSjc26GST, and 90 buffaloes in the control group did not experience vaccination. The indicators included levels of antibodies to reSjc26GST in buffaloes before and after infection with S japonicum and changes in infection rate. Results Specific antibodies, which showed a trend of trapezoid increase, were induced in buffaloes after immunized with reSjc26GST. Twenty months after immunization, the infection rate of the test group was decreased by 62 2% when compared with that before vaccination,and by 67 7% when compared with that of the control in the corresponding period.Conclusion Specific antibodies and a certain extent of protection were induced in buffaloes after immunized with reSjc26GST, which played an significant role in ameliorating morbidity.
6.Monitoring of intracranial pressure in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage after minimally invasive surgery and its correlation with nerve injury,inflammatory stress response

Objective To monitor the itrracranial pressure in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage after minimally invasive surgery and to explore its correlation with nerve injury,inflammatory stress response.Methods From December 2014 to October 2017,60 patients of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage underwent minimally invasive surgery in Taizhou Municipal Hospital were chosen in the research.According to the prognosis,the patients were divided into hematoma clearance group (n =45) and rebleeding group(n =15).The levels of intracranial pressure 24h after surgery,serum contents of nerve injury related indicators,inflammatory mediators and oxidative stress indicators were compared between the two groups.Pearson test was used to evaluate the correlation between intracranial pressure 24h after surgery and nerve injury,inflammatory stress response.Results 24 h after surgery,the intracranial pressure in the hematoma clearance group was (349.27 ± 45.81)mmH2O,which was lower than (511.09 ± 57.64) mmH2O in the rebleeding group (t =-11.093,P < 0.05).The serum contents of nerve injury markers such as NSE,h-FABP,GFAP,S 100B in the hematoma clearance group were (9.37 ± 1.05)ng/L,(7.04 ±0.85) μg/L,(7.19 ± 0.85) μg/L,(20.47 ± 3.19) ng/L,respectively,which were significantly lower than those in the rebleeding group [(14.58 ± 1.62) ng/L,(11.36 ± 1.62) μg/L,(16.23 ± 1.72) μg/L,(45.87 ± 5.62) ng/L](t =-14.414,-13.330,-26.989,-21.749,all P < 0.05),the BNP level of the hematoma clearance group [(22.61 ± 2.85) μg/L] was significantly higher than (15.28 ± 1.79) μg/L ih the rebleeding group (t =11.732,P < 0.05).The levels of inflammatory mediators such as IL-6,IL-1β,TNF-α in the hematoma clearance group were (5.28 ± 0.59) ng/L,(9.73 ± 1.54) ng/L,(15.28 ± i.76) ng/L,respectively,which were lower than those in the rebleeding group [(11.07 ± 1.63) ng/L,(20.46 ± 2.95) ng/L,(23.51 ± 3.79) ng/L] (t =-20.410,-18.225,-11.445,all P < 0.05).The levels of antioxidant factors such as SOD,CAT in the hematoma clearance group were (49.58 ± 6.21) U/L,(68.11 ± 7.59) U/L,repectively,which were significantly higher than those in the rebleeding group [(32.16 ±4.05) U/L,(45.23 ±5.61)U/L] (t=10.138,10.715,all P <0.05).The contents of ROS,AOPP in the hematoma clearance group were (15.28 ± 1.73) μg/L,(10.94 ± 1.62) μg/L,respectively,which were lower than those in the rebleeding group [(34.19 ± 4.25) μg/L,(22.53 ± 2.18) μg/L] (t =-24.632,-21.945,all P <0.05).Pearson test showed that the level in 24h intracranial pressure in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage was positively correlated with the degree of nerve injury,inflammation stress(r =0.371,0.483,0.427,0.519,0.537,all P < 0.05).Conclusion Monitoring of intracranial pressure after minimally invasive surgery for hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage,can effectively judge the severity of nerve injury and inflammatory stress reaction,and can predict the risk of recurrent intracerebral hemorrhage.
7.The prevalence and associated factors with depression and anxiety among the patients attending the community-based methadone maintenance treatment program in China

Objective To understand the prevalence and the factors associated with depression and anxiety among patients attending the community-based methadone maintenance treatment(MMT) program.Methods 9 MMT clinics in 3 provinces were randomly selected,in which 1 301 MMT patients who met the criteria of recruitment were all interviewed.A cross-sectional study by administrative questionnaire was employed to investigate the demographics,drug abuse and MMT treatment status of the respondents.The 1301 respondents were also evaluated for depression and anxiety by SDS(Self-Rating Depression Scale) and SAS(Self-Rating Anxiety Scale) respectively.ANOVA and multivariate linear regressions analysis was used to verify the factors associated with depression and anxiety respectively.Results The prevalence of depression and anxiety among the MMT patients were 38.3%(498/1 301) and 18.4%(239/1 301).The multivariates linear regression analysis indicated that at the level of ?=0.05,gender,employment status were associated with depression,while gender,employnment status,educational level,drug abuse and methadone daily dosage were associated with anxiety.Conclusions There are certain proportions of MMT clients who suffer from depression and anxiety.The MMT clinic staff should put more emphasis on the efforts to reduce psychological disorders and its potential risks by enhancing psychological councelling,intervention and social support towards the MMT patients.
8.Ultrasonographic diagnosis and prognosis of transposition of the great arteries at 11-13 + 6 weeks gestation

Objective:To investigate the value of ultrasonography in diagnosis of transposition of great arteries of the fetus at 11-13 + 6 weeks gestation. Methods:A prospective study was conducted on fetuses screened by ultrasound in the first trimester in Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region between January 2015 and March 2022. Fetal heart structure was screened by three-section screening method. Fetuses with suspected transposition of the great arteries at 11-13 + 6 weeks gestation underwent followed-up ultrasound examination, chromosome and gene test results. The ultrasound characteristics and prognosis pregnancy outcomes were summarized. Results:Twenty-one cases of transposition of the great arteries were detected by ultrasonography, including complete transposition of great arteries (20 cases) and congenitaly corrected transposition of the great arteries (1 case). Two cases were miss diagnosed. Twenty-one cases showed parallel signs of two major arteries on grayscale outflow section at 11-13 + 6 weeks gestation. There were 6 cases with aneuploid ultrasonographic soft markers abnormality, 2 cases with extracardiac malformation. Chromosome and microarray analysis were performed in 13 cases. 4 cases with chromosomal abnormality. Four cases of chromosomal abnormalities were associated with ultrasonographic soft markers abnormality, and 1 case with extracardiac malformation.In the 23 cases, 20 cases were induced, 1 miscarried, and 2 delivered to term. Among the fetuses delivered at term, 1 case died before neonatal operation and 1 case survived. Conclusions:Standardized ultrasound scan at 11-13 + 6 weeks has high accuracy in diagnosis of transposition of the great arteries. And the incidence of chromosomal abnormality is high with ultrasonographic soft markers abnormality or extracardiac malformation.
9. Evaluation of the influenza vaccine effectiveness among children aged 6 to 72 months based on the test-negative case control study design

Objective:
To assess the effectiveness of seasonal influenza vaccine among children aged 6 to 72 months.
Methods:
The test-negative case control study was conducted based on available surveillance data which was from China Influenza Surveillance Information system (CSIS). From October 2016 to April 2017 and from October 2017 to April 2018,1 161 cases aged 6-72 months with influenza-like illness in Yongkang and Yiwu city, were selected as the study subjects, and the cases with influenza test-positive were selected as the case group (403 cases). Test-negative subjects were selected as control group (758 cases). The etiology and immunization data of the subjects were obtained from CSIS and Immune Information and Management System (IIMS) respectively. Vaccine effectiveness was estimated using multivariate logistic regression model,and the mixed effects of non-randomized control in TNCC study were equalized by using the propensity score (PS) method in the statistical analysis.
Results:
The age of the subjects was (2.44±1.60) years,and there were 681 boys (58.66%). The age of case group was (2.62±1.58) years, and there were 246 boys (61.04%). The case group was including of 237 cases (58.81%) of influenza A (H3N2), 92 cases (22.83%) of influenza A (H1N1) pmd09, 62 cases (15.38%) of influenza B(Victoria) lineage, 11 cases (2.73%) of influenza B (Yamagata) lineage and one case (0.25%) co-infection of influenza [A(H3N2)+B (Victoria)]. The mean age of the control group was (2.35±1.61) years,and there were 435 boys (57.39%). Overall vaccine effectiveness (VE) against all type influenza for two seasons combined was 58% (95
