Objective To explore the features and treatment methods of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture of elderly patients with cardiopulmonary diseases. Methods 18 cases of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture of elderly patients with cardiopulmonary diseases teated by percutanteous vertebroplasty(PVP), and VAS(visual analogic scale) and mobility ability were measured before and after treatment. Results All 18 patients were punctured and operated successfully. The preoperitive and postoperative VAS was 7.6?1.2 and 3.7?1.3, respectively. There was obvious pain relief after operation (P

ObjectiveTo explore puncture point and angle of skin for unipedicular vertebroplasty by imaging measurement and combining clinical practice in order to pr vide reference for clinical work.MethodsCT images of thoracic and lumbar vertebrae of imaged with multislice helical CT were random chosen. From high to low position vertebrae of easy fracture T6 to -L5,its angle between vertebraI pedfcle stalk line and 1/3 of vertebraI body stalk line fore and median of point of intersection was measured. The angle of sternocostal joints route was also measured. At the same time the distance between site of skin puncture and spinous process was measured.ResultsThe angle between the thoracic vertebraI pedicle and sagittal section was (28.2 ± 3.8) °,the lateral distance of the spinous process was ( 31.6 ± 5.4) mm.The angle of thoracic vertebraI pedicle lateral route was (35 ± 3.4) °,the distance was ( 55.2 ± 5.3 ) mm.In the lumbar vertebrae pedicle route, the angle of L1 -L4 was (29.3 ± 5.6 ) °,the distance was (38.4 ± 4.5 )mm.Ls was (39.2 ± 3.3) °,the distance was ( 71.6 ± 6.2) mm.Combining clinical practice, the lateral distance of the spinous process in thoracic vertebraIpedicle route, the best puncture point was 30 mm,in thoracic vertebraI pedicle lateral route it was 40 mm,in L1-L4 it was 45 mm,in L5 it was 60 mm.ConclusionsThe unipedicular vertebroplasty can be performed rapidly, accurately and safely, and it reduces complications, cost and time.

Objective To investigate the surgical treatment and indications for primary lesion in patients with stage Ⅳ rectal cancer.nethods Clinical data of 118 patients with stage Ⅳ rectal cancer undergoing surgical treatment from January 1988 to December 2005 in Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences were analyzed retrospectively using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(Release 13.0,SPSS,Inc).Survival was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared using the log-rank test.Cox regression was used in multivariate analysis. Results One hundred and five of 118 patients received rectal primary lesion resection, including 16 cases with simultaneously metastatic tumor resection.13 of 118 patients received ostomy. The overall 5-year survival rate of the primary lesion resection group was 8.57%,the 5-year survival rate of the metastatic tumor resection group was 31.2%.The median survival in the primary lesion resection group and the ostomy group was 15 months and 13 months respectively(X2=0.736.P=0.778).Multivariate analysis showed that degree of differentiation of primary tumor, maximal diameter of liver metastasis and chemotherapy were the most important prognostic factor of the primary tumor resection group. Conclusion Simultaneous resection of primary and metastatic tumor can prolong suivival time of patients with resectable stage Ⅳ rectal cancer.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2013;33(1):150-151
OBJECTIVEBy explore the role of serum soluble Fas (sFas) in occurrence and progression of delayed encephalopathy after acute carbon monoxide poisoning (DEACMP).
METHODSEnzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect serum sFas levels in 40 patients with DEACMP in acute stage and convalescent stage, with 36 healthy elderly subjects as the control group.
RESULTSSerum sFas levels of the patients with DEACMP in both the acute and convalescent stages showed no significant difference from those in the control group (P=0.737 and 0.137, respectively), nor was any significant difference found between the patients in acute and exacerbation stages (P=0.059).
CONCLUSIONSerum sFas is not involved in the occurrence and progression of DEACMP.

Objective:To investigate the association of WWP2 single nucleotide polymorphism (rs3790088, rs4247109) with delayed encephalopathy after acute carbon monoxide poisoning (DEACMP) , and explore the influences of DEACMP genetic predisposition. Methods:From November 2006 to December 2017, 235 DEACMP cases and 429 acute carbon monoxide poisoning (ACMP) cases were selected. All ACMP patients were followed up for more than 90 days without DEACMP. The DNA in all blood samples were extracted with the blood Genome DNA Extraction Kit. The method of Sequenom Mass Array SNP technique was used to detect the genotype and allele of WWP2. All DEACMP patients were assessed every 3 days after hospitalization by the Hasegawa Dementia Scale (HDS) and Activity of Daily Living Scale (ADL) . The distribution of genotypes in conformty with Hardy-Weinderg law was analyzed by goodness-of-fit χ 2 test, and χ 2 test was used for association analysis. Results:For rs3790088, there were 226 DEACMP cases and 414 ACMP cases. For rs4247109, there were 234 DEACMP cases and 428 ACMP cases. For rs3790088 and rs4247109 in WWP2 gene: there were not significant differences in the gene genotype distribution and allele frequency of both DEACMP group and ACMP group ( P>0.05) . According to gender, there were not significant differences in WWP2 gene genotype distribution and allele frequency between two female groups and two male groups ( P>0.05) . After analysis by genetic model, the genotype distributions in both DEACMP group and ACMP group were not significantly differences in three genetic models (codominant genetic model, recessive genetic model and dominant genetic model, P>0.05) . Conclusion:It has not confirmed the genetic correlation between the two gene single nucleotide polymorphisms (rs3790088, rs4247109) of WWP2 gene and the incidence of DEACMP.
