Advanced schistosomiasis, encompassing a wide range of pathologic entities and multi-complications,poses a se-rious threat on the patients'health. Through comprehensive analysis and evaluation on related aspects regarding clinical classifi-cation,main methods of auxiliary examination and treatment(including types of surgical procedure)of advanced schistosomia-sis,we think that the individual based multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment according to varying conditions of patients is the most optimal treatment mode of advanced schistosomiasis. It is further proposed that multidisciplinary collaborative diagnosis and treatment system should be undoubtedly established, multidisciplinary case discussions be regularly organized, and treat-ment expert teams be stably formed,in order to significantly improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of advanced schistoso-miasis,so as to reduce the misdiagnosis and improve the therapeutic effect in advanced schistosomiasis control.

Objective To prepare magnetic polybutylcyanoacrylate (PBCA) nanosphere loaded with aclacinomycin A (ACM) and investigate its anti carcinoma effect and toxicity. Methods Magnetic PBCA nanospheres loaded with ACM were prepared by interfacial polymerization method. Female BABL/c nude mice were injected with MKN 45 gastric carcinoma cell line mass subcutaneously near right forefoot to establish human gastric carcinoma model. The mice were divided into 5 groups with 6 mice in each group: ACM (8 mg/kg), nanosphere with low dosage of ACM(1.6 mg/kg), nanosphere with high dosage of ACM (8 mg/kg ), magnetic nanosphere without ACM and normal saline (NS). Magnets (2500 Gs) were embedded in the tumor mass of all the mice one day before the date of therapy. The agents were administered again the same as the first time after 5 days. Tumor weight was measured and assay of colony forming unit granulocyte and macrophage (CFU GM) was performed on semi solid culture. Results The drug content of the agent was 12.0% and the mean particle size was 210 nm. The tumor inhibition rates of ACM, nanosphere with low dosage of ACM, nanosphere with high dosage of ACM and carrier without ACM on human gastric carcinoma in nude mice were 22.63%, 30.66%, 52.55% and 10.22% respectively. The average tumor weight of targeted nanospheres group was much lower than that of the same dosage of non targeted ACM group( P

Objective To study the effect of the levels of serum gonadal hormone and plasma calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP) on the hot flushes symptom of perimenopausal women. Methods 65 perimenopausal women (35 with hot flushes and 30 without hot flushes) and 25 healthy fertile women were enrolled. The subjects were analyzed for serum estradiol (E2), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) ,luteinizing hormone (LH) and plasma calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP). Results. ① There were no significant differences of the E2 levels between the perimenopausal women with and without hot flushes (P>0.05). The levels of FSH and LH were significantly higher in the women with hot flushes than women without hot flushes and fertile women(P<0.05),② The levels of plasma CGRP were significantly higher in the women with hot flushes than women without hot flushes (P<0.05), and significantly lower than fertile women,③The levels of plasma CGRP were significantly higher in severe hot flu-shes group than that in the mild hot flushes group and moderate hot flushes group(P<0.05), the severity of hot flu-shes was positively related to the level of plasma CGRP(rs=0.823, P<0.01), but there was no relationship be-tween serum E2 and the severity of hot flushes (P>0.05). Conclusion The occurrence of perimenopansal hot flu-shes might be closely related to the decline and fluctuation of serum E2,increase of FSH and LH and the concentra-tion variety of plasma CGRP.

Objective To inVestigate the effect of emodin on hyPertroPhic scar fibroblasts ( HSFs ) and exPlore the underlying mechanism. Methods HSFs were treated by emodin at final concentrations of 0,20,40,and 80 μmol·L-1, resPectiVely,in the cultural media. Forty_eight hours later, the cells were subjected to MTS assay and flow cytometry assay with annexin V and ProPidium iodide as dyeing indicators. Whole cell lysates from the cells of eVery grouP were subjected to Western blotting to measure the Protein exPression leVels of ERK1∕2,Bcl_2,Mcl_1 and RIP1. Results The cell Viability of HSFs was inhibited by emodin in a dose dePendent manner. The mortality rate of HSFs treated with emodin for 48 h at the concentrations of 40 and 80 μmol·L-1 were 28. 6%and 68. 0%,resPectiVely,which was significantly higher than that of the control grouP ( P<0.01).Pretreatmentwith Z_VAD_FMK could Partially reduce the mortality caused by emodin (P<0.05).PhosPhorylation of ERK1∕2 and the exPression of RIP1 and Mcl_1 were inhibited by emodin. Conclusion Down regulation of ERK1∕2,RIP1 and Mcl_1 by emodin may account for the inhibited Proliferation and increased cell death of HSFs.
