Based on the theory of topological structure within the syndrome of tradition Chinese medicine (TCM), the high order multiple dimensions and nonlinear structure of syndrome can be cracked. And the panorama of complex and changeable syndrome can be showed. The dynamic evolving law of sub-sets of syndromes and the changing rule of the main signs and symptoms with the secondary signs and symptoms can be interpreted. Therefore, the evolving law of sub-sets of syndromes and the accurate corresponding law of prescriptions and medicines can be realized. And the scientific connotation of dynamic evolving rule of syndrome can be revealed. Studying on the occurrence regularity of syndrome, the structure characterization of TCM syndrome can be carried out. And the mathematical structure-physical structure-biological structure can be revealed. Along with the mass new specific forms of syn-dromes to be cracked, the simulation data platform of therapeutic methods with prescriptions and medicines of syn-dromes can be built through the simulation technology of computer. Using the clinical data, through the literature of carding and contrast, the scientific connotation of judgment and diagnostic standard of syndromes can be interpreted. The distracting law of syndromes of diseases can also be revealed through the clinical data of syndrome-groups. And the theoretical basis for the formulation of judgments and diagnostic standard of syndromes of diseases which con-forming to the dynamic evolving law of syndromes can be provided. Evaluation on TCM efficacy can be carried, in order to make clear the curative effect evaluation index system of TCM syndrome in multiple dimensions and multi-ple levels for the promotion of the substantially improvement of syndrome differentiation level.

Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(10):-
AIM: To study the clinical efficacy of Jinchang Capsule for the treatment of type 2 diabetes of blood-stasis syndrome. METHODS: From JAN.2001 to OCT.2004, 48 cases were divided randomly into two groups.32 cases in the treatment group were treated with oral Jinchang Capsule combined with Western medicine therapy, and 22 cases in the control group were simply treated with Western medicine therapy, with a course of 8 weeks. The changes of clinical symptoms, and fasting blood glucose (FBG), 2 h post prandial glucose(2hFBG), HbAlc, total cholesterol (Tc), triglycerides (TG), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-c), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-c) levels, and hemorheological parameters were analysed. The safety of the medicine was evaluated also. RESULTS: After treatment, the clinical symptomatic integrals were decreased remarkably in the treatment group (P0.05). There was no significant side-effect in the treatment group. CONCLUSION: The results obtained suggest that Jinchang Capsule can improve the clinical symptomatic integrals and remarkably enhance total clinical efficacy. Combining with the basic Western medicinal treatment of diabetes, it can control the obstinate hyperglycemia, and improve fat metabolism as well as bemorheological parameters. It has indicated that Jinchang Capsule has multipurpose therapeutic actions for diabetes mellitus.

Chinese Mental Health Journal 2010;24(1):47-50,58
Objective:To understand the related factors of tic disorders(TD) and early intervention among schoolchildren. Methods:Using stratified-cluster random sampling techniques,4,020 children were selected from 61,836 schoolchildren in Daxing district of Beijing.Totally 4,020 children and their parents were asked to fill in a self-designed questionnaire covering both motor and vocal tics and general information.A three-stage procedure was used:screening, interview and clinical investigation.A total of 3,813 children were investigated successfully. The children who were reported with tic symptoms as well as those who were reported by their teachers or classmates were surveyed according to the TD criteria in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-Fourth Edition(DSM-Ⅳ).Eighty-six TD children were investigated respectively about the related factors of TD,and 86 healthy children matched in age,sex and grade were selected as controls.Telephone interview was carried out to find the doubtful TD cases in family members. Those people identified as having tics underwent a semistructured interview to determine whether they had TD according to DSM-Ⅳ criteria.Related risk factors of TD were investigated according to self-designed formulary medical history sheet. Results:Positive TD inheritance family history(7.0%),abdominal delivery style(36.0%),carbonate drink(10.5%),obesity(14.0%) and psychological stress were risk factors of TD(P<0.05).The multivariate analysis of variance indicated that inheritance family history, delivery style, dwelling environment, carbonate drink,parent-child relation,hobby,underachieve,self-care ability were closely related to the high incidence of TD (P<0.05).Conclusion:The occurrence of tic disorders may be related to multiple interacted factors.Early intervention is most important.

Objective:To explore the expression of CD23,CD19 on peripheral blood lymphocytes as well as its association with serum total IgE levels and nasal allergic symptoms in patients with allergic rhinitis(AR). Method:Symptom scores were evaluated in 46 AR patients, expression of CD23,CD19 on peripheral blood lymphocytes were measured by flow cytometry, and serum total IgE levels were determined by immune chemiluminescence. Thirty two healthy individuals were enrolled as controls.Result:The percentage of CD23~+,CD19~+ and CD23~+/CD19~+,on peripheral blood lymphocytes in AR patients were 11.6±1.9,22.8±3.3,10.2±1.7,respectively.Higher frequencies of CD23~+,CD19~+,and CD23~+/CD19~+ were found in AR patients compared with controls (P<0.05).There were positive correlations between expression rates of CD23~+,CD19~+,CD23~+/CD19~+ and levels of serum total IgE,nasal allergi symptom scores,respectively.CD23~+ /CD19~+ demonstrated greater correlations with serum total IgE and nasal allergic symptom(r=0.65 and 0.49,P<0.05)than CD23~+ and CD19~+ did.Correlation between CD23~+/CD19~+ and nasal allergic symptom scores was greater than the corresponding correlations of serum total IgE(r=0.33,P<0.05).Conclusion:CD23 and CD19 are important factors that associated with serum total IgE in the pathogenesis of AR,Analysis on the expression of CD23~+/CD19~+ on peripheral blood lymphocytes is helpful for evaluating the severity of AR.

OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor in the nasal mucosa of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polys patients, and explored the regulation of clarithromycin on VEGF.
METHOD:
RT-PCR was used to detect the expression of VEGF in nasal mucosa from healthy control and CRSwNP. Nasal mucosal tissue explant culture measure and ELISA were used to explore the effect of clarithromycin on VEGF expression.
RESULT:
(1) VEGF mRNA expression level was significantly increased in CRSwNP compared with control and showed a statistic difference (P < 0.01). (2) There was a significant decrease in CRSwNP group undergo clarithromycin treatment on protein expression level of VEGF and showed a statistic difference (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSION
VEGF were overexpressed in CRSwNP group, which presume that play an important role in the pathogenesis of nasal polyps. Clarithromycin may play a therapeutical role on chronic rhinosinusitis through down-regulated the expression of VEGF.
