1.Discussion on traditional Chinese medicine syndrome and treatment mechanism about early hypertension in Macao
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(10):-
On the basis of analyzing traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) pathogenesis character of early hypertension in Macao,to induce the main pathological mechanism of early hypertension is stagnation of phlegm and blood, excess of liver yang.Activiting qi,blood and regulating vessel are general principles of treatment.Dissipating phlegm and promoting blood circulation, repressing hyperactive liver yang and nourishing tendon interrupt early pathological change, moreover,it embodies the TCM theory of ‘early treatmrnt to prevent deterioration’.

MRI system is composed of many independent subsystems, in which RF, Gradient, Coil, MRI magnet subsystem are the most important and complex subsystems. Every subsystem consists of different components. Based on the analysis of MRI eliminable faults in CBMDisc (1995 ~ 2006), the types and occurrence frequency of MRI eliminable faults are expatiated so as to provide reliable data for reference.

Objective To evaluate the changes in esophageal pressure and 24h pH on the pathogenesis of esophagitis by means of a multivariate logistic regression analysis of obtained values. Methods Monovariate comparison of parameters from 24h ambulatory esophageal pH measurements and esophageal manometry between two groups of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) patients, including 45 with esophagitis, 40 without esophagitis, and 42 healthy controls. Multivariate logistic regression analysis of parameters obtained was carried out. Results All parameters of DeMeester-Johson score were significantly higher in esophagitis than those of without esophagitis. The composite scores were 113.29?26.73 and 42.66?11.25, respectively (P

Objective To evaluate preventive and therapeutic effects of low dose of unfractioned heparin on severe sepsis. Methods 52 Patients with severe sepsis hospitalized in Intensive Care Units were randomly divided into control group and heparin group. On the basis of conventional therapy, patients with sepsis were given low dose of unfractioned heparin or isovolume physiologic saline by continuous intravenous drip infusion over 5 days. Acute Physiologic and Chronic Healthy Evaluation (APACHE-Ⅱ) score, blood platelet count(BPC), prothrombin time(PT), activated partial thromboplastin time(aPTT), thrombin time(TT), plasma fibrinogen(FDP) and D-dimer levels were assessed on admission, 3rd, 5th day after intervention. Incidence of disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC) and 28-day mortality between heparin group and control group were compared. Results There were no significant difference in APACHE-Ⅱ, BPC, PT, aPTT, TT, and FDP levels, incidence of DIC, and 28-day mortality between heparin group and control group. D-dimer levels in both groups decreased along with time. D-dimer levels on 5th day after treatment in heparin group was markedly decreased than that of control group(740?135?g/L vs 853?179?g/L, P

Journal of Interventional Radiology 1992;0(01):-
Objective To investigate CT examination in the evaluation of the percutaneous radio frequency ablation (RFA) in the treatment of hepatic carcinoma. Methods 50 cases of hepatic carcinoma (including primary hepatic cancer 36 and hepatic metastases 14) with 76 lesions treated by RFA associated with pre and post procedure data of CT follow up were analyzed retrospectively. CT examinations including plain and contrast enhanced CT scanning were carried out at 1 week and 3 weeks after the RFA, but sometimes with furthermore intermittent scanning at 3~6 months. Results Complete ablation of the tumors occurred in 49 lesions (64.5%) of 35 cases and incomplete ablation of tumors happened in 27 lesions (35.5%) of 18 cases. Among RFA treated 76 lesions, there were 9 with internal hemorrhage, 1 with abscess formation. 3 cases showed intraperitoneal bleeding; 6 cases demonstrated reactive pleural effusion and 1 case revealed with small amount of pneumothorx. Conclusions The contrast enhanced CT scanning provides a great diagnostic value for evaluation of the efficacy of hepatic tumor treated by RFA and also the local recurrence and complications.

PET-CT plays a increasing important role in the treatment of lung cancer.Compared with CT,the advantage of PET-CT is obvious, which is more accuracy when determine a metastasis and identify inflammatory lesions. What's more,on the basis of the accuracy staging,PET-CT change many strategies which were based on traditional image, resulting in improving the treatment effect. While the assessment and prediction of the efficacy by PET-CT also exerted an important influence on the formulation of treatment strategies.

Based on the analysis on "China biomedical medical literature database"(CBMdisc) in the field of MRI Maintenance composed by army writers from May,1994 to 2007,the following results can be obtained: the total number of writers amounts to 75,106 person-time,27 of them are the first writers, and 11 are main writers;among the total 48 pieces of work,33 pieces are written by more then one writer;the unit with the largest number of published writers is Jinan Military Area Command with Nanjing Military Area Command the second,Lanzhou Military Area Command the third;one main writer has a maximum of 7 pieces. The research makes a close study of the army writers in field of MRI maintenance, indicating the lack of intellectual personnel in the domain of Medicine Engineering in military system.

Objective To compare the speech recognition by severe - to - profound hearing - impaired children using digital hearing aids and microlink FM system. Methods Hearing - impaired children were given respectively bilateral 100% omnidirection digital hearing aids, bilateral 100% omnidirection digital hearing aids and lateral FM system, bilateral 100% omnidirection digital hearing aids and bilateral FM system in noise and quiet environment. Speech recognition of these children was tested using different intensity. Results There was significant difference between children using microlink FM system and none FM system ( P

Objective To retrospectively investigate diagnostic and therapeutic value of intradiscal steroid injection in patients with discogenic low back pain combined with radial fissure of annulus fibrosis. Methods Totally 120 patients who had undergone CT guided intervertebral discography and steroid injections, including 72 males and 48 females, aged from 25 to 60 years (average,48 years),were recruited to this study.According to Dallas discography description system,7 cases were rated as grade 0,36 grade 1,48grade 2,and 29 grade 3.The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) were used to evaluate clinical effect at 2 weeks,2 months,6 months,12 months and 24 months postoperatively. Results Most of patients who underwent steroid injection in single highly suspect diseased disc claimed significant symptom improvement. There were statistically significant differences between pre- and post-operative VAS and RMDQ.The clinical effect in grade 3 group was better than those in grade 1 and grade 2 groups, and the differences were significant.Patients with severe disc disruption (grade 3) had a lower recurrence rate of low back pain compared with other patients. Conclusion Intradiseal steroid injection not only can significantly relieve discogenic low back pain, but also can benefit diagnosis of discogenic low back pain, especially in patients who fail to reproduce concordant pain on discography. For patients with severe rupture of the annulus fibrosus, the relief of discogenic low back pain is more significant.
