1.Realization of Image Data Transmission and Memory in Low Cost
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(10):-
Objective To set up a small local area network with existing resources so as to realize image data transmission of large-scale medical equipment and the low cost memory. Methods Based on TCP/IP and DICOM protocol,we established communication between Efilm workstation and each large-scale medical equipment, and created mini PACS.Results Fast and smooth transfer was tested without data lost. The compact disc was used as media to store image data, which reduced the cost greatly and facilitated data import, export, representation and teaching demonstration. Conclusion Being feasible and simple, this method worth popularizing in small and medium-sized hospitals.
2.Clinical and pathological analysis of prostate cancer with low level of serum prostate specific antigen: a report of 4 elderly cases and literatures review
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2013;32(11):1215-1217
Objective To investigate the clinical and pathological features of prostate cancer with low level of serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in elderly patients. Methods Data of 328 patients with prostate cancer were retrospectively analyzed.Clinical and pathological data of 4 prostate cancer patients with low serum PSA level were analyzed.Potential risk factors and diagnostic methods of prostate cancer with low serum PSA level were discussed based on the clinical data combined with literatures. Results Mean age of the 4 patients was 71.3 years.Mean PSA value on admission was 1.96 μg/L.2 patients had abnormal digital anal examination results.2 patients were pathologically diagnosed as adenocarcinoma after puncture, among which 1 had duct adenocarcinoma, and the other 2 patients were pathologically diagnosed as neuroendocrine carcinoma after puncture.2 patients with neuroendocrine carcinoma of prostate were treated with endocrine therapy, and the other 2 patients were treated with radical prostatectomy plus auxiliary endocrine therapy. Conclusions Prostate cancer with low serum PSA level has an insidious onset, which is prone to miss the diagnosis. It should be paid sufficient attention for the diagnosis, and monitoring of prostate cancer is independent on PSA.Prostate cancer with low serum PSA level should be diagnosed in combination with some basic examinations such as serum free prostate specific antigen, prostate specific antigen density and digital rectal examination,et al.
3.Mitochondria and aging
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
Aging is a complex pathological and physiological phenomenon characterized by the decline of many functions in human. Several lines of experimentation showed that the defect of the mitochondria function is one of the driving forces for the progress of aging. During the development of aging, the alteration of biology of mitochondria, the accumulation of the generation of "free radical"in mitochondria, the mutation in mitochondria genomes and the control of the progress of death by mitochondria were suggested to be a number of novel mechanisms for mitochondria in aging. The experiment data focused on the role of mitochondria in aging are reviewed.
4.Cause analysis of medical personnels moral degradation and moral reconstruction
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(03):-
The paper briefly summarizes the chief manifestations of moral degradation on the part of medical personnel and then makes a preliminary analysis of the causes. On the basis of this, it discusses at some length some major measures to be adopted in reconstructing medical personnels morality. These include: ① carrying forward traditional Chinese medical ethics and using medical codes of ethics from Western countries for reference; ②strengthening the education and training of medical personnel in ethics; ③perfecting the codes of ethics for medical personnel; ④speeding up reform in the personnel and distribution systems; ⑤reinforcing supervision and setting up corresponding evaluation mechanisms; ⑥selecting personnel combining ability with political integrity to engage in the medical profession; ⑦strengthening the construction of social morals.

Objective To explore the protective effect of erythropoietin(EPO)on inflammatory injury induced by focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion in rats. Methods 54 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:sham operation group, normal saline control group and EPO group. The focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury model was made by suture-occluded method. The content of interleukin-1 β(IL-1β)and the activity of myeloperoxidease(MPO)were measured by radioimmunoassay and chromatoptometry at 6 h,24 h and 48 h reperfusion following ischemia 2 h.The scores of behavior obstacle in rats were assessed at 24 h.Results Compared with the normal saline control group,EPO group got better score of behavior obstacle(all P<0.05).The content of IL-1β and the activity of MPO in brain in the EPO group were significantly lower than those in the normal saline control group(all P<0.01).Compared with two reperfusion groups, the sham operation group had no obvious abnormal change in each measurement item. Conclusion EPO can reduce the content of IL-1β and inhibit the infiltration of leukoeyte, which can provide protective effect on cerebral ischemic-repefusion injury in rats.

Objective To investigate the possible mechanism of recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) neuroprotection by studying the effect of rhEPO on expressions of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and BCL-2 following focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion in rats. Methods A rat middle cerebral artery occlusion/reperfusion (MCAO/R) model was induced by the intraluminal filament method, and intraperitoneal injection of rhEPO was used for intervention. Histopathological changes were observed by HE staining, and the expressions of MMP-9 and BCL-2 in the cerebral cortex of ischemic side were detected with immunohisto-chemistry. Results HE staining: At all time points, the numbers of surviving nerve cells were significantly higher in the rhEPO group, and their injury degree was significantly lower. MMP-9 immunohistochemistry staining: The positive cells were observed occasionally in the normal control group and the sham-operation group; the MMP-9 positive cells at the ischemic side of brain tissue in a normal saline control group began to appear at 6 hours after reperfusion, it reached the peak at 24 hours and began to decrease at 72 hours; the change trend of MMP-9 positive cells in the rhEPO group was similar to that in the normal saline control group, but it was significantly lower than that in the normal saline control group at the same time points (t were 12. 023 6, 12. 635 0, 12. 779 6, respectively, all P <0. 01). BCL-2 immunohistochemistry staining: No positive cells were found in the normal control group and sham-operation group. The numbers of BCL-2 positive cells reached the peak at the ischemic side of brain tissue in the normal saline control group at 6 hours after reperfusion, it reached the peak at 24 hours and further decreased at 72 hours; the change trend of BCL-2 positive cells in the rhEPO group was similar to that in the normal saline control group, but it was significantly higher than that in the normal saline control group at the same time points (t were 5. 763 1,8. 110 1, and 5. 798 7, respectively, all P <0. 01). Conclusions rhEPO may inhibit cortical neuronal apop-tosis at the ischemic side by inhibiting MMP-9 expression and up-regulating BCL-2 expression so as to play a neuroprotective effect.

Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(01):-
Objective To research the relationship between high temperature and population death in a district in Nanjing. Methods Using Microsoft Excel 2000 and SAS 8.0 software, firstly, respectively analyzed the impact of daily highest and lowest temperature from 1994 to 2002 on daily death in summer and winter, then studied the relationship between daily highest temperature and total death, age-specific and sex-specific death in summer of 1998 based on the study of the climate characteristic of Nanjing. Results In summer, the highest temperature which could reach to 40.7℃ emerged mostly in July and August, and when the highest temperature was higher than 35℃, mortality increased obviously as the temperature increasing. The relative humidity was more than 70% in most time of the year round. In summer of 1998, the excessive death on hot days accounted for 11.3% in which the old people occupied the majority, and two death peak appeared in July and August, the former higher than the latter. Conclusion The high temperature and high humidity may obviously increase mortality, especially in the old people, in Nanjing.
