1.Clinical Analysis of 76 Cases of Asherman's Syndrome
Journal of Third Military Medical University 1984;0(02):-
Seventy-six cases of Asherman's syndrome (traumatic amenorrhea) were analyzed clinically. 70% of the patients were young women of the ages from 20 to 30. There was the history of previous abortion with once or twice of curettage in 81.2% of the cases. 66 out of the 76 cases complained of amenorrhea, 57 of periodic lower abdominal pain, and 10 of hypomenorrhea. When the intrauterine adhesions are explored, diagnostic curettage to get some endometrium for histologic study should be done since it is essential to diagnosis as well as to treatment. 57 out of the 76 were cured with one procedure of probe isolation of the adhesions and dilatation. The remained 19 cases were treated with combined Chinese traditional and Western medicine and 15 were cured and 4 improved. 24 women of those cured underwent a normal full term pregnancy and gave birth to a normal child. No vaginal bleeding or adhesion of placenta was observed after delivery in those women.

Objective To discuss the opportunity of transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) after transrectal prostate biopsy. Methods We analyzed 60 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH) who underwent TURP after transrectal prostate biopsy from September 2013 to September 2015.All the patients were divided into either group A or group B in chronological order, with 30 cases in each group. There were no significant differences in age, prostate specific antigen (PSA), prostate volume, hemoglobin level, and international prostate symptom score (IPSS) between the two groups. The group A and group B were treated by TURP at 1 week and 4 weeks after transrectal prostate biopsy, respectively. The parameters including operation time, excised prostate weight, intraoperative total blood loss, bladder irrigation time, and IPSS at 3 months after operation were recorded. Results The operation time, intraoperative total blood loss, bladder irrigation time, and IPSS in the group B were significantly lower than those in the group A [(58.3±6.0) min vs.(62.0±3.3) min, t=2.952, P=0.005;(154.1±15.8) ml vs.(167.4±29.5) ml, t=2.181, P=0.035;(19.2±0.8) h vs.(20.6±2.3) h, t=3.034, P=0.004;(18.3±2.5) points vs.(20.3±2.0) points, t=3.419, P=0.001].The excised prostate weight in the group B was significantly higher than that in the group A [(37.1±4.0) g vs.(33.3±7.8) g, t=-2.341, P=0.024].Conclusions TURP performed at 4 weeks after transrectal prostate biopsy can significantly increase the excised prostate weight, reduce intraoperative total blood loss volume, shorten the operation time and postoperative bladder irrigation time, and improve urinary symptoms. In brief, we recommend that TURP be executed at 4 weeks after transrectal prostate biopsy.

Objective:To summarize the curative effect in treatment of Raynaud's syndrome with chemical thoracic sympathectomy(CTS) guided by X-ray since 2001.Methods: From March 2001 to August 2007,97 patients with Raynaud's syndrome(186 limbs) were treated by CTS.Guided by X-ray,a needle was punctured through the back skin to the second thoracic sympathetic ganglion beside the thoracic vertebrae and 2 mL of 5%(v/v) phenol was injected. Results: The first CTS treatment produced a good effect on 146 limbs with an effective rate of 78.5%(146/186).The same treatment was performed on the limbs with no effect 1-2 days after the first treatment and produced good effect on 13 limbs with an effective rate of 32.5%(13/40).The total effective rate of the patients who were hospitalized for the first time was 85.5%(159/186).Of the 97 patients,78 patients(80.4%) were followed up for 47 months on an average with an effective rate of 69.5%.And the rate of complications was 11.4% for pheumothorax, and 3.9% for hydrothorax.Hyperalgesia on axillary region and anterior chest wall;Horner syndrome and sinus bradycardia were rare. Conclusion: CTS is minimally invasive and effective in treatment of Raynaud's syndrome.

Objective:To observe influence of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT ) on ventricular remodeling and inflammation in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) .Methods :A total of 84 CHF patients treated in our hospital from Jun 2012 to Feb 2015 were selected , according to randam number table , they were randomly and e‐qually divided into routine treatment group (received routine medication ) and combined treatment group (received CRT based on routine treatment group) .Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ,left ventricular end -diastolic dimension (LVEDd) ,6min walking distance (6MWD) ,levels of high sensitive C reactive protein (hsCRP) ,inter‐leukin (IL)‐6 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)–αwere compared between two groups before and three months after treatment .Results:Compared with before treatment ,three months after treatment ,there were significant rise in LVEF and 6MWD ,and significant reductions in LVEDd ,levels of hsCRP ,IL‐6 and TNF‐α in combined treatment group ( P<0.05 or < 0.01 ) ,while there were no significant improvements in above indexes in routine treatment group .Compared with routine treatment group ,there were significant rise in LVEF ± [(29.42 ± 4.32)%vs .(37.16 ± 4.72)% ] and 6MWD [ (232.66 ± 40.54) m vs .(304.12 ± 51.65) m] ,and significant reductions in LVEDd [ (64.35 ± 7.81) mm vs .(57.64 ± 6.12) mm] ,levels of hsCRP [ (23.21 ± 3.45)μg/ml vs .(16.31 ± 2.02)μg/ml] ,IL‐6 [ (22.08 ± 3.82)μg/ml vs .(15.79 ± 2.09)μg/ml] and TNF‐α[ (32.66 ± 5.66)μg/ml vs .(23.23 ± 3.12)μg/ml] in combined treatment group , P<0.05 or <0.01. Conclusion:CRT can significantly reduce levels of hsCRP ,IL‐6 and TNF‐αin CHF patients ,which may be the main mechanism delaying ventricular remodeling and improving cardiac function .

Cancer is a major threat to human health and causes death worldwide. Research on the role of radiotherapy (RT) in the treatment of cancer is progressing; however, RT not only causes fatal DNA damage to tumor cells, but also affects the interactions between tumor cells and different components of the tumor microenvironment (TME), including immune cells, fibroblasts, macrophages, extracellular matrix, and some soluble products. Some cancer cells can survive radiation and have shown strong resistance to radiation through interaction with the TME. Currently, the complex relationships between the tumor cells and cellular components that play major roles in various TMEs are poorly understood. This review explores the relationship between RT and cell-cell communication in the TME from the perspective of immunity and hypoxia and aims to identify new RT biomarkers and treatment methods in lung cancer to improve the current status of unstable RT effect and provide a theoretical basis for further lung cancer RT sensitization research in the future.
