The study of traditional Chinese medicine and its complex prescription gradually adopted the methods of serum pharmacology, which has become a new researching thought and a gained more attention. In this article, the background of relevant researches, methodological discussions, analysis of the advantages and problems of serum pharmacology were reviewed. The serum pharmacology, for its unique value, will certainly has a brilliant prospect in its application to the research of traditional Chinese medicine and its complex prescription.

Objective To observe the effects and toxicity of nimotuzumab combined paclitaxel and carboplatin in the treatment of advanced non small cell lung cancer .Methods 168 cases of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer were randomly divided into study group and control group ,with 84 cases in each group .Study group was treated with nimotuzumab 200 mg ,1 times per week ,for 6 weeks ,two weeks later the patients were treated with 200 mg and stopped when the disease progressed ,paclitaxel lipo-some(135 mg/m2 ,iv drip 3 h ,1 days) ,carboplatin(300 mg/m2 ,iv drip ,1 days);the control group was given paclitaxel liposome(135 mg/m2 ,iv drip 3 h ,1 days) ,carboplatin(300 mg/m2 ,iv drip ,1 days) ,21 days for 1 cycle .Results Study group RR 38 .1% (32/84);control group RR 23 .8% (20/84)(P<0 .05) .The main side effects of two groups of were gastrointestinal reaction and bone marrow suppression ,there were 64 cases of above Ⅱ digestive tract reaction in the study group ,accounting for 76 .2% ,52 cases ofⅡ degrees of bone marrow suppression ,accounting for 61 .9% ,52 cases of Ⅱ degrees of alopecia ,accounting for 61 .9% ;54 cases of control group Ⅱ digestive tract reaction ,accounting for 66 .7% ,54 cases of Ⅱ degrees of bone marrow suppression ,accounting for 66 .7% ,and 58 cases of Ⅱ degrees of alopecia ,accounted for 57 .1% (P>0 .05) .In the study group ,progression-free survival period was 7 .8 months ,the median survival period was 14 .2 months;in the control group ,progression-free survival period was 5 .1 months ,the median survival period was 9 .8 months(P<0 .05) .Conclusion nimotuzumab combined paclitaxel and carboplatin in the treatment of advanced non small cell lung cancer has good clinical curative effect ,and would not increase adverse reactions .It is worthy of clinical application .

Objective To observe the clinical characteristics of polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV).Methods Two hundreds fifty-four PCV patients (306 eyes) were enrolled in this study.All the patients were examined for corrected visual acuity (BCVA) testing,slit-lamp microscope,indirect ophthalmoscopy,fundus photography,fluorescein angiography,indocyanine green angiography and optic coherence tomography.Results The patients included 152 males (59.8％) and 102 females (40.2％) ; the age was from 38 to 91 years,with a mean age of (65.4±8.9) years.Bilateral lesions were observed in 52 patients (20.5％) and unilateral lesions were observed in 202 patients (79.5％).BCVA varied from nonlight perception to 1.2.BCVA was lower than ＜0.1 in 167 eyes (54.6％),≥0.1 but ＜0.3 in 92 eyes(30.1％) and ≥0.3 in 47 eyes (15.4％).Vitreous hemorrhage was observed in 61 eyes (19.9％).In 202 patients with unilateral PCV lesions,drusen can be observed in the contralateral eyes of 68 patients (33.7％),exudative age-related macular degeneration changes in the contralateral eyes of 24 patients (11.9 ％),and central serous chorioretinopathy history was positive in the contralateral eyes in nine patients (4.5％).In 306 eyes,there were 43 eyes (14.1％) with high permeable choroid.PCV lesions located at macula area in 199 eyes (65.0％),under the temporal retinal vascular arcade in 49 eyes (16.0％),and peripapillary in 15 eyes (4.9％).PCV lesion formation was single in 110 eyes (35.9％),cluster in 176 eyes (57.5％),string in three eyes (1.0％),branch in four eyes (1.3％),and both single and cluster polyps in 13 eyes (4.2％).There were 125 eyes (40.8％) with sub-neuroretinal fluid,121 eyes (39.5％) with hemorrhagic pigment epithelium detachment,and 73 eyes (22.9％) with serous pigment epithelium detachment.Conclusion PCV patients have higher bilateral incidence and female prevalence,and lower rate of peripapillary lesions.

Objective: To discuss the value of preserving ICBN during modified radical mastectomy for breast neoplasms. Methods: Sixty-three cases of breast carcinoma who underwent modified radical mastecto-my were studied. Of them, ICBN was completely preserved in 33 cases and was dissected in 30 cases. Sen-sory function of the medial upper arm of all patients was followed up after surgery. Results: No local recur-rence or metastasis was found among the 63 patients during the first, sixth, and twelveth month of follow-up period. Among the 33 cases with ICBN reserved, 29 cases (87.88%) had normal sensation of the skin in up-per medial arm and axilla, while 4 cases (12.12%) had paresthesia. Conclsion: Preserving ICBN can en-hance the quality of life of breast cancer patients after surgery.

[Objective]To evaluate the validity and feasibility of somatosensory evoked potentials(SEP) and transcranial magnetic stimulation motor evoked potential(TMS-MEP) in early decompression of spinal cord injury(SCI). [Method]Thirty-two rabbits fell into four groups randomly. The static load model were used to simulate human SCI. According to the compression time, the animals were divided into 4 groups (control,5min, 15min,30min). In this study, somatosensory evoked potentials (SEP) and transcranial magnetic stimulation motor evoked potential (TMS-MEP) were used to assess neurologic function. The EPs were recorded at 5min, 15min, 30min, 60min, 6 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days post-decompression and before spinal cord injury in injury groups. Latency and amplitude were measured for each wave. Tarlov behaviour score was performed before surgery and after surgery at 1,3,7 days. Histologic studies were performed on part of animals. [Result]Spinal cord compression resulted in a gradual increment in the peak latency and significant decrement in the peak amplitude. After decompression, the recovery of the latency was more obvious than the amplitude in all injury groups, EPs recovered earlier than Tarlov score. [Conclusion]EPs may evaluate the neurologic function of SCI models sensitively and impartially. Dcompression early may promote SCI recovery.

[Objective]To investigate surgical therapeutic methods of recurrent lumbar disc herniation(RLDH).[Method]From December 1996 to December 2003,a retrospective analysis on surgical treatment of 74 cases of RLDH was made and those cases acquired 1～5 years follow-up.There were 41 males,33 females aging from 21~53 years(mean,37.2 years),case history was 6~192 months from primary surgery to disc reprolapse(mean,37 months).Among primary surgery,9 cases were total laminectomy,23 cases were hemilaminectomy,31 cases were windowing,11 cases were microdiscectomy with diskoscope.Re-surgery:5 cases treated with lumbar disc excision,45 cases treated with posterior lumbar interbody fusion(PLIF)technich,23 cases treated with transforminal lumbar interbody fusion(TLIF)technich.[Result]No death case occurred during peri-operation.Various complications were found in 18 cases which recovered by symptomatic treatment.Cases with lumbar disc excision left bed in 3 weeks with the help of lumbar back brace and cases with fusion surgery left bed in 3～5 d after surgery.Oswestry score improved from(52.32?9.17)pre-operatively to(20.33?5.72)in average 18 months follow-up.Totally 73.5% cases had satisfactory surgical results.[Conclusion]Cases with RLDH can adopt propotional surgical methods,thoroughly decompression and gain satisfactory therapeutic effect on bases of imageology,clinical manifestation and surgery history.

[Method] FromLanshi Micang-Anal Fistulaof eight prescriptions for treatment of hemorrhoids and analysis, on the basis of combining the characteristics of compatibility with tumors inDongyuan effect testand the specific prescription, made analysis of anal fistula, diagnosis and treatment of anal fistula for the study of LI Dongyuan thought. [Results] LI Dongyuan from dampness, heat, wind, dryness four on the treatment of anal fistula, with angelica, Gentiana and blood dryness of medicine, to Shufeng pain, Xinrun and blood on regulation of syndrome treatment, paid attention to diet to restore the anal fistula. [Conclusion] LI DongyuanLanshi Micangis rich in content, the treatment of anal fistula has experience, as of today, the diagnosis and treatment on anorectal diseases of clinical thought still has important guiding significance.
