Objective To observe the clinical efficacy on primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC) treated by two methods. Methods 50 cases with PBC were divided into the combination therapy group(A group:n =25) and simple western medicine treatment group(B group:n = 25) ;The curative effect and indicators of liver function were observed before and after treatment in patients with PBC. Results A total effective in group A 19 cases(76.0%) were higher than in B group 15 cases (60.0%) (x~2 = 3.87, P ＜ 0.05) ;The clinical symptoms and signs in A、B group after treatment were better than before treatment(x~2 = 3. 87 ～ 6. 89,P ＜ 0.05 ～ 0.01) ;The clinical symptoms and signs in A group after treatment were better than B group(x~2 = 3.88 ～ 4. 12. ,all P ＜0.05) ;The indicators of biochemical in A、B group after treatment were lower than before treatment(t = 2. 214 ～ 2. 517, P ＜ 0.05); The indicators of biochemical of ALP、GGT、ALT in A group decreased significantly compared with B group(t = 2. 284 ～ 2. 418, P ＜0.05). Conclusion Integrative Chinese and western medicine achieves good clinical efficacy in patients with PBC.

Objective To study the clinical efficacy of hypertension with nephropathy treated by integrated Chinese and Western medicine. Methods 75 patients with hypertensive nephropathy were divided into the integrated Chinese and Western medicine group (group A) and 35 cases of pure western medicine treatment group (group B) ; The change of whole blood viscosity at low shear rate(ηbL)、 whole blood viscosity at high shear rate( ηbH)、fibrino-gen( Fg)、 serum albumin(Alb)、hemoglobin(Hb)、urine prottein( Up)、blood urea nitrogen( BUN) 、creatinine( SCr)、 creatinine clearance rate( CCr)、residual renal function index ( RRFI) before treatment and after treatment were observed. Results The effective rate 31 cases(88.5% ) in group A was significantly higher than the B group 23 cases (65.7%)(x2 =3.98,P<0 05);The contents of ηbL、ηbH、BUN、Scr、CCr and RRFI in treatment group after treatment had significant difference wmpared with that before treatment(t = 2. 121,t = 223,t =2. 324,t = 2. 375,t = 2. 371 ,t =2. 265 ,t = 2. 415 ,t =2.771 ,P <0.05) ;The contents of Up、BUN、Scr、CCr、RRFI were significantly different in two groups after treatment(t =2.331 ,t = 2.378,t =2.411,t =2. 378,t =2.391 ,P <0.05). Conclusion Integrated Chinese and Western medicine for hypertensive nephropathy had good efficacy,was a safe and effective method.

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)is the most common complications of DM.It is considered to be progressive and irreversible.DPN occurred in a stocking and glove distribution,the mainly symptoms are pain,numbness and paresthesias.It is also the main cause of ulceration,infection and amputation.Usually,there is no special treatment for DPN besides blood-glucose control and pain control.Recently,Surgical decompression of peripheral nerves is used to restore sensation and relieve pian among DPN patients by Prof.Dellon and other doctors who have proved its efficacy in treatment of DPN.

AIM: To observe and compare efficacy of the lower eyelid twitch shift joint outer canthal ligament shortening surgery and orbicularis muscle resection surgery to treat degenerative entropion.
METHODS: Patients with degenerative entropion in our hospital were selected. The test group was 40 cases ( 70 eyes), of which double eyes with attack (30 cases), and lower eyelid twitch shift joint outer canthal ligament shortening surgery was applied to the test group. Control group was 20 cases (26 eyes), of which double eyes with attack ( 6 cases ) , and the control group was used by orbicularis muscle resection surgery. The correction rate, double eyelid symmetry and overcorrection rate were observed in two groups at postoperative 1wk. The long-term recurrence rate, double eyelid symmetry and overcorrection rate with follow-up 6mo were observed.
RESULTS: After 1wk, the correction rate of experimental group 98. 6%, undercorrection rate of that was 1. 4%, all the eyelid was symmetry, only one eye with a slight overcorrection. Correction rate of control group was 92. 3%; all the eyelid was symmetry, and the poor rate of this group was 7. 7%. After 6mo, correction rate of experimental group was 95. 2%; undercorrection rate of experimental group was 3. 2%, and overcorrection rate was 1. 6%. Correction rate of control group was 87%, and 2 eyes of recurrence, 1 eye with a poor overcorrection. Double eyelid was symmetry, overcorrection rate difference was not statistically significant ( P > 0. 05 ), and the correction rate were significantly different (P<0. 05).
CONCLUSION: Compared toorbicularis muscle resection surgery, postoperative recurrence rate of lower eyelid twitch shift joint outer canthal ligament shortening surgery is significantly lowered.

Objective To investigate the running condition of defluoridation projects and fluoride concentration in drinking-water in Anyang City of Henan Province.Methods Cluster sampfing of Anyang,Hua, Neihuang,Tangyin Counties emdimic fluomsis poining of Anyang City was conducted places of different orientation, about 1/3 towns in the selected examination towns had their defluoridation project investigated.Results Among 472 pwjects investigated,427 were running normally,accounting for 90.47%(427/472),only 9.53%(45/472)of the projects were out of service.68.62%(293/427)of the pwjects had normal fluoride concentration in drinking water, 31.38%(134/427)of the projects failed to do 80.In Hua County,41.00%(41/100)of the projects were out of service. In Neihuang County.70.39%(107/152)of the projects had abnormally high fluoride concentration in drinking water. Conclusions Defluoriding projects are out of service and fluoride concentration in drinking water exceeds the standard in Hua,Neihuang Counties of Anyang City.We must analyse the cause of it seriously,work out measures, promote a healthy and sustainable development of defluondation projects

Objective To explore transthyretin (TTR) effect on retinal vascular endothelial cells (hREC) under high glucose and hypoxia environment.Methods hREC and human retinal pigment epithelial cell (hRPEC) were cultured at low-glucose (LG),high glucose (HG) and hypoxia.The glucose concentration was increased from 5.5 mmol/L up to 25 mmol/L,and hypoxia was induced by 200 μmol/L CoCl2.The cells were divided into LG group,LG-hypoxia group,HG group,HG-hypoxia group according to the different cell culture environment.The growth index was detected at 0,4,8,16,24,36,48,60,72 hours after cultured.Furthermore,hREC and hRPEC were also cultured with additional TTR (4 μmol/L),respectively.Then transwell co-culture system was employed to reveal the effects of hRPEC on the growth of hREC.Results At 72 hours after cultured,the growth index of hREC and hRPEC in LG group were increased as compared with LG-hypoxia group and HG group (hREC:F=17.098,22.970;P＜0.05.hRPEC:F=45.442,9.011;P＜0.05);the growth index of hREC and hRPEC were decreased in HG group and HG-hypoxia group (hREC:F=146.184,P＜0.05;hRPEC:F=27.907,P＜0.05).Additionally,hREC could be significantly repressed by added TTR during culture with high concentration of glucose (F=161.430,24.106;P＜0.05).hREC could be significantly increased by added TTR during culture with low concentration of glucose (F =200.486,48.662;P ＜ 0.05).In co-culture process,hRPEC revealed inhibition activity against hREC under both natural and abnormal environment (LG group:F=15.711,P＜ 0.05;LG-hypoxia group:F =45.659,P＜0.05;HG group:F =7.857,P ＜0.05;HG-hypoxia group:F=6.348,P＜0.05).Conclusion Under high glucose and hypoxia environment,the growth of hREC from neovascular could be inhibited by TTR.
