Objective: To evaluate the effect of a new method to treat early primary crossbite . Methods: 20 cases (2.8～6.5 years old ) with anterior crossbite were treated by bonding appliance combined with protracting mask. Cephalometric radiographs were taken and analyzed before and after treatment. Results: On average,in all the 20 cases the maxilla were moved 2.06 mm forward ,mandibular were turned 2.45?downward and backward ,the anterior crossbite was corrected and the face profile was improved satisfactorily.The treatment was conducted for 1.7 months on average. Conclusion: Using bonding appliance combined with protracting mask to treat early primary crossbite can achieve good effects for young children .

Objective: To study the chemical constituents in the roots of Aconitum bulleyanum Diels. Methods: The air-dried roots of A. bulleyanum were powdered and extracted by methanol with percolation. After removing the solvent under reduced pressure, the crude extract was dissolved in 1. 5％ HCl solution, and then basified to pH 9 by NaOH (5％) and extracted by ethyl acetate to ob-tain crude alkaloidal extract after ethyl acetate removal. The alkaloidal extract was isolated and purified by column chromatography, and their structures were identified based on spectral analysis ( 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR, MS) . Results:Totally 12 diterpenoid alkaloids were isolated from A. bulleyanum and characterized as foresaconitine (1), crassicauline A (2), chasmanine (3), talatisamine (4), 14-debenzoyl-franchetine (5), pengshenine A (6), crassicautine (7), yunaconitine (8), franchetine (9), liljestrandisine (10), transconitine B (11) and pseudoaconine (12). Conclusion:Compounds 3-7, 10-12 are isolated from this plant for the first time.

The hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) results can reflect the average level of blood glucose over the past 2-3 months,its clinical application value is transforming from evaluation indicator to diagnosis indicator.The application of HbA1c as a diagnostic indicator of diabetes is limited by many factors,such as multi-factor influence on measurement and its late start on standardization process in our country,optimal cut-point and the defect of HbA1c existing in the molecular level,etc.Therefore,clarifying the limitations of HbA1c in the practical application is of great significance for its clinical application.

Objective: To study the phenotype characteristic of mandibular condylar chondrocytes (MCCs) in vitro. Methods: MCCs of two-week-old New Zealand rabbits were isolated with enzyme digestion and cultured in DMEM. Phase contrast microscopy, image analysis system, MTT assay and immunocytochemistry method were used to compare MCCs of different passages in cellular shape and size, growth curve and expression of type I and type II collagen. Results: The majority of MCCs in earlier passages (1～3 passage) were polygonal, while more fusiform and spindle-shaped cells were found after 5～6 passages. MCCs in earlier passages were smaller than those in sixth passages. The proliferation rate of MCCs decreased with passaging. There were more type II collagen positive cells in 1 ～ 3 passages, while more type I collagen positive cells in 7th passage. Conclusion: The changing characters of MCCs in vitro such as cellular shape and size and expression of type I and II collagen are similar to those of MCCs in vivo from proliferating zone to hypertrophic zone. MCCs in later passages may be with dedifferentiation.

Objective To observe the effect of Yixin Jiangya Capsule (YXJYC) on serum insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) level in patients of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) of primary hypertension at stageⅡ with Yinxu Yangkang and blood stasis syndrome (YXYKBSS). Methods 93 patients were randomly divided into the treated group (62 patients) and the control group (31 patients). The two groups were both treated with enalapril, and the treated group was treated with YXJYC simultaneously. Treatment course of the two groups was 6 months. Radioimmunoassay was used to examine the level of serum IGF-1 before and after treatment in the two groups, compared with that of 30 healthy persons.
