3.Effects of Sulfur Dioxide on Lactic Dehydrogenase-Isozyme.
Korean Journal of Preventive Medicine 1970;3(1):111-119
Alteration of H-and M-isozymfs of Lactic Dehydrogenase(LDH) were observed in the various tissues after exposing the rats to 50ppm and 250ppm of sulfur dioxide. These isozymes of the respective tissue were separated by Diethlaminoethyl(DEAE)-cellulose from tile tissue homogenates of brain, lung and muscle, presenting the activities by rate of reduction of nicot inamids-adenine-dinucleotide (NAD+). Pure LDH and the coenzyme NAD (NAD) were directly treated with sulfur dioxide in vitro order to find out the direct to sulfur dioxide on LDH and NAD+ and the results were as follow. 1. In the normal tissues, the H-isozyme activity was dominant in the brain and heart, and tole M-isozyme in the muscle. 2. In the lung tissue of normal rats, there was no different between tole activity of H-and M-type of LDH. 3 When rats inhale sulfur dioxide gas in concentration of 50ppm and 230ppm, it appeared that the H-type tend to be suppressed in aerobic tissues and the M-type in anaerobic tissues. 4. In the lung tissue exposed to sulfur dioxide, both the LDH activities were suppressed. 5. It seems that LDH and the coenzyme (NAD ) are not directly affected by exposing in sulfur dioxide gas.

4.Effective Postoperative Use of Dexmedetomidine in a Child with Severe Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Secondary to Congenital Ventricular Septal Defect.
Korean Journal of Critical Care Medicine 2015;30(1):34-37
Although alpha2-adrenoceptor agonists are widely used as postoperative sedatives in adults, the postoperative effects in pediatric patients with secondary pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) due to congenital heart disease are not well known. We experienced a case of successful ventilator weaning with continuous intravenous administration of dexmedetomidine (DEX) after surgical correction in a 46-month-old child with congenital ventricular septal defect (VSD) with severe PAH. She underwent VSD closure on cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). After successful weaning from the CPB, hemodynamics and oxygenation were stabilized on DEX and nitroglycerin in the intensive care unit. The patient was successfully weaned from the ventilator 46 hours after surgery. The transthoracic echocardiogram two weeks after surgery showed a closed VSD with no residual shunt and trivial tricuspid regurgitation (Vmax = 2.5 m/sec) without PAH.

5.Experimental Seminal Vesiculitis Induced by Repeated Injections of Homologous and Heterologous Seminal Vesicle Tissue.
Korean Journal of Urology 1968;9(3):127-137
An experiment on seminal vesiculitis in rats induced by repeated injections of homologous and heterologous seminal vesicle tissue suspension with Freund's complete adjuvant was accomplished to produce an immune disease in the seminal vesicle for the purpose to find the cause of same type of lesion in human beings were divided into 7 In this study 65 healthy adult white rats which weighed from 150 to 250 gm. were divided into 7 groups are follows: Group 1. Six rats, control, injected with normal saline Group 2. Six rats, injected with adjuvant Group 3. Seven rats, injected with seminal vesicle tissue suspension Group 4. Six rats, injected with rat seminal vesicle tissue suspension and adjuvant with prednisolone Group 5. Seven rats, injected with rabbit seminal vesicle tissue suspension Group 6. Seven rats, injected with rabbit seminal vesicle tissue suspension with adjuvant. Rats in these 6 groups were injected weekly for 8 weeks and sacrificed on the sixty fourth day. Group 7. Twenty-six rate, rat seminal vesicle tissue suspension with adjuvant. Rats in this group were subdivided into four groups Group A. Five rats, injected 4 times and sacrificed on 64th day. Group B. Seven rats, injected 6 times and sacrificed on 64th day. Group C. Seven rats, injected 8 times and sacrificed on 64th day. Group D. Seven rats. injected 8 times and sacrificed on 92nd day. Seminal vesicles from all the rats sacrificed were histopathologically studied and results were obtained as follows. Significant histopathologic alterations suck as glandular atrophy, decreased secretoryactivity, interstitial fibrosis, edema. congestion and inflammatory cellinfiltration suggesting of noninfectious chronic seminal vesiculitis were obtained in most rats of Group 7. Severity of inflammatory reaction seemed to be accentuated according to the increase of frequency of the date of sacrifice not concerned. Those allergic reaction were appeared to be inhibited by administration of prednisolone.

9.Study on the effect of different treatments for breast cancer patients
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2012;19(9):1343-1344
Objective To explore the effect of different treatments for breast cancer patients. Methods The clinical date of 24 patients with breast cancer were retrospectively analyzed.According to treatment method,24 patients were divided into 2 groups, control group of 12 patients received, and vinorelbine plus cisplatin.Experimental group of 12 patients received gemcitabine plus cisplatin. Both groups were treated for 6 weeks,follow-up in JanuaryFebruary, after treatment the short-term efficacy and toxicity were observed. Results During follow-up compared betwween two groups, after 6 weeks of treatment in patients with overall response rate ( complete response + partial response) are better than 1 week after treatment, the difference was statistically significant( P <0.05 ) ;between the two groups compared after treatment, experimental group patients overall efficiency as better than the control group, but had no statistically significant difference( P > 0.05 ).In the control group,Ⅲ + Ⅳ leukopenia, nausea, vomiting and phlebitis rate were relatively high than experimental group, experimental group Ⅲ +Ⅳ thrombocytopenia was higher than control group, the differences were statistically significant( P <0.05 ).Conclusion Early application of gemcitabine plus cisplatin in patients with breast cancer could significantly improve, the survival and prognosis, improve patients quality of life, and safe,it's worthy of promoting in clinic.
10.Diagnostic value of volume imaging for breast assessment dynamic enhanced MR for benign and malignant breast mass
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2012;35(17):23-25
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of volume imaging for breast assessment (VIBRANT) dynamic enhanced MR for benign and malignant breast mass. Methods Ninety-eight patients with breast mass underwent both bilateral molybdenum target radiography and VIBRANT dynamic enhanced MR examination. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and diagnosis accuracy between two methods were compared. Results There were 113 lesions including 65 lesions in 57 malignant cases and 48 lesions in 41 benign cases. The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of molybdenum target radiography were 67.69% (44/65),68.75% (33/48),74.58% (44/59) and 61.11% (33/54),respectively.The values of VIBRANT dynamic enhanced MR were 84.62% ( 55/65 ),89.58% (43/48),91.67% (55/60) and 81.13% (43/53),respectively.The difference of the diagnosis accuracy between two methods had statistical significance (P <0.05).Conclusion The diagnostic value of VIBRANT dynamic enhanced MR for benign and malignant breast mass is higher than molybdenum target radiography.
