Objective To explore the characteristics and the clinical application of MR perfusion weighted imaging(PWI)in the normal kidneys and the renal diseases. Methods Thirty-one subjects including 9 cases without urinary diseases,14 cases with renal carcinoma,6 cases with renal cyst and 2 cases witll renal tuberculosis who had been examined with T1WI,T2WI and PWI were analyzed retrospectively. All the data were processed by a workstation to obtain time-signal intensity curves, color perfusion maps and relative perfusion value. The relative renal blood volume(RBV),relative renal blood flow(RBF),mean transition time(MTT)and the time to peak(TTP)in the normal renal cortex and medulla and the renal lesions were calculated.Comparisons between the right and the left normal kidneys, and between the cortex and the medulla of the normal kidneys were performed using t test, and comparisons between the normal and the abnormal kidneys were performed using q test. Results Relative RBV and relative RBF of the cortex were 1.33±0.08 and 1.44±0.09 respectively, and for medulla were 0.58±0.05 and 0.78±0.13 respectively(t=9.2241 and 5.0336,P<0.01);MTT(1.11±0.08)and TTP (1.04±0.06)of the cortex has no difference with that of the medulla(0.97±0.04 and 0.94±0.03)in the normal kidneys(t=2.2551 and 2.2613.P>0.05).The values of relative RBF of the renal carcinoma (1.35±0.34)were significantly higher than that of the normal tissues(1.02±0.06)(q=3.0882,P<0.01).Conclusion PWI is able to demonstrate the hemodynamic change of the normal renal tissues and the renal lesions, and it maybe an ideal method for showing the functional changes of the kidney and for differentiating the renal diseases.

Objective To investigate the value of CT guided interventional treatment in intracranial hematoma. Methods There were 108 cases with intracranial hematoma(30~100 ml,average of 50 ml) in our hospital from 2000~2003.Among them,58 cases were located in putamen,6 cases in subcortial,4 cases in thalamus,4 cases in cerebella,12 cases were traumatic eprdural hematoma and 12 cases were subdural hematoma. The table distance of the aspirated slice was the sum of table distance at the slice of the maximum hematoma and half slice thickness. It was considered successful for CT guided aspiration if the distance between the front of aspiration needle and the center ofthe biggest hematoma was not more than 1mm and it was regarded effective, when the patients' lives were saved and their life quality was improved. Results The success rate of CT guided aspiration was 99.8%.The effective rate of hypertensive intracerebralhemorrhage located in putamen, subcortial and thalamus was 94.3%.The effective rate of CT guided interventional treatment for cerebellar hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage above 30ml was 0,the cure rate of traumatic epidural and subdural hematoma was 97.2%.Conclusion The effect of CT guided interventional treatment of intracranial hematoma is well except for cerebellar hematoma.

AIM: To investigate the effect of 17? estradiol (17?E 2)on atherosclerosis and hemorrheology in ovariectomized (OVX) rabbits. METHODS: Thirty four female rabbits were divided into 4 groups, group A: normal control; group B: sham+CHO; group C: OVX+CHO; group D: OVX+CHO+17? E 2. Cholesterol(CHO) was fed to rabbits for 12 weeks, before and after feeding CHO, the serum lipid (TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C, ApoA1, ApoB) and area of aortic atherosclerotic plaques were measured. Blood viscosity, plasma viscosity (?p), aggregation index of RBC (AIRC) and fibrinogen were also determined, respectively. RESULTS: ① The ratio of area of aortic atherosclerotic plaque to total area of aortic intima was 0.02?0.003 (in group A), 0.42?0.15 (group B), 0.67?0.23 (group C), and 0.12?0 11 (group D), respectively. In group D, the ratio of aortic atherosclerotic plaque was markedly decreased compared with group C ( P

Objective:To evaluate the value of shear wave elastography (SWE) and salivary gland ultrasound scoring(SGUS) system in the diagnosis of salivary glands lesions in patients with Sj?gren′s syndrome(SS) and to compare the diagnostic efficiency of the two methods. Methods:From June 2019 to November 2020, Fifty-eight patients with suspected SS were selected from the Affiliated Changzhou No.2 People′s Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. According to the 2002 American-European Consensus Group classification standard, the enrolled patients were divided into two groups: SS group (47 cases) and non-SS group(11 cases). According to symptom duration, SS group was divided into the ≤5 years group (29 cases) and the >5 years group (18 cases). Meanwhile, 40 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this study as normal control group. The diagnostic value of salivary gland ultrasound scoring system and Young′s modulus in SS were analyzed. Results:The differences in Young′s modulus of parotid gland and submandibular gland between SS group and non-SS group (or control group) were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The ultrasound score of SS group was significantly higher than that of non-SS group and control group (all P<0.05). SGUS and Young′s modulus were not significantly different between different course groups (all P>0.05). The areas under ROC curve of the mean Young′s value in parotid and submandibular gland and the SGUS were 0.801, 0.829 and 0.676, respectively. The comparison of the area under the curve between the Young′s modulus of the parotid and submandibular glands and the ultrasound score was statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusions:SWE and Ultrasonography scoring system have certain value in the diagnosis of salivary gland lesions in SS, and can provide important reference information for clinical diagnosis from different perspectives. The diagnostic efficiency of SWE for salivary glands lesions in patients with SS is better than that of SGUS scoring system.
