Clinical observation was undertaken on patients with vertebroarterial type ofcervical spondylopathy who were treated with necktraction and manipulation, of110 patients, there were 82 men and 28 women. The average age was 56.29 yearsold. 102 of 110 patients had vertigo. In 91 patients with which vertigo wasassociated with body position, most of them also had abnormal hearing and visionand headche and hoarseness, etc. Examination: The positive rate of Jackson Test and Rotating-head Test was83.33%. The degenerative changes could be seen on the X-ray films of the cer-vical vertebrae. 55.95% of them suffered from eyeground arteriosclerosis, 40.78%hyperlipemia, 42.16%. hypertension, 36.17% ECG abnormality. Treatment: of 110 patients, 97 were treated with neck traction and manipu-lation. The average times of neck-traction of whom were 44.13, the averagetimes of manipulation 33.92. In addition, we compared one group which usedtraction and manipulation with another one that used traction and manipulationtogether with drip transfusion of dextran. Chi-spuare Test showed no signifi-cant difference between the two groups. Conclusion 1. The information in the paper indicated close relationship between verte-broarterial type of cervical spondylopathy and atherosclerosis. 2. Diagnosis of the disease could be done after excluding a few diseasessuch as Meniere's disease and hemicranie and sympathetic type of cervicalvertebrae, etc. 3. After vertebroarterial angiography, the patients suffering from the diseasetreated with surgery if conservative therapy had no effect. 4. The paper also studied the mechanism of neck-traction and manipulation on vertebroarterial type of cervical spondylopathy.

Objective To explore conduct disorder tendency and it's influence factors on secondary school students. Methods 669 students of grade 1 in Dezhou Vocational and Technical College were investigated by Conduct Disorder Tendency Questionnaire, Revised Version of MBI-SS and SRHMS Version1.0. Results The secondary vocational school students' scores on violation tendency, addiction tendency and aggression tendency were 11.51±4.08,5.90±2.68 and 6.68±2.63,and were significant different from vocational college students or high school students(addiction tendency:F(2, 1578)=7.48,P =0.001;aggression tendency:F(2, 1579)=24.40,P <0.001). There existed great capable difference of conduct disorder according to genders ( t(643)>3.85,P <0.001).Conduct disorder tendency of secondary vocational students' was positive correlated with their learning burnout (Pearson correlation coefficient was between 0.16 and 0.52 for each pair), but negative correlated with mental health(Pearson correlation coefficient was between -0.13 and -0.27 for each pair). The linear regression showed that some dimensions of learning burnout and self-rated mental health predicted students' conduct disorder tendency. Conclusion Conduct disorder tendency of secondary vocational students is affected by their learning burnout and mental health.

OBJECTIVE: To establish a new pattern of ward round record for clinical pharmacist and rational use of drug. METHODS: The new pattern of ward round record was established according to domestic and foreign history pattern, The Principle and Proposed Pattern of Clinical Medication History in China, disease course record. This new pattern focused on patients’ disease and medication changes. A case of cardiovascular department was taken as example. RESULTS: Established ward around record contained two parts, i.e. first page and record chart. CONCLUSION: Established pattern is concise and practical and covers essential medical information. It makes communication more easily between pharmacist and doctors and meets the needs of clinical pharmacy practice.

AIM:To discuss the main clinical characteristics of current drug eruption for reference of prevention and treatment of drug eruption.　METHODS: Two hundred and thirty-three with drug eruption in 1999 were collected, and their clinical characteristics, such as age, main causative drugs and eruption types, etc. were analysed.　RESULTS: The age of current drug eruption increased. Antibiotics was the most common causative drug, while antiinflammatory analgestics, serum and vaccine, traditional Chinese medicine were next to it. Scarlet fever-like or measles-like type was the most common eruption type, while urticaria type, erythema multiforme type and fixed type were next to it.　CONCLUSION: Clinical physicians shoud inquire alergic history of patients thoroughly and avoid unnecessary drugs, so as to decrease the occurrence of drug eruption.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the correlation of bone mineral density changes with vertebral deformation and clinical manifestations in patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy.METHODS: A total of 42 cervical spondylotic myelopathy patients who received treatment at the Department of Sports Medicine,First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January to June 2009 were selected and randomly divided into the normal (n=20) and lower bone density (n=22) groups. The cervical lateral of the C_(3-8) spinal canal, sagittal diameter of vertebral body ratio, vertebral body deformation index in all cases was measured, and the clinical manifestations between two groups were compared.RESULTS: The cervical (C_3, C_4, C_5, C_6) sagittal diameter of vertebral body ratios of lower bone density group were significantly decreased than those of the normal group (P ＜ 0.05, or P ＜ 0.01), and the cervical (C_3, C_4, C_5, C_6)vertebral body deformation indexes of the two groups showed no significant difference (P ＞ 0.05); While the clinical manifestations (symptoms and physical signs) was significantly greater in the lower bone density group than the normal group (P ＜ 0.05).CONCLUSION: Cervical myelopathy can cause osteoporosis in patients with vertebral bone hyperplasia, spinal stenosis, in particular, the clinical manifestations are more obviously in lower bone density patients.

Background and purpose:Retinoic acid-induced gene G (RIG-G) is a tumor suppressor gene which is cloned by NB4 cell line from a acute promyelocytic leukemia cell. This study aimed to investigate the effect ofRIG-G in lung cancer cells A549 by constructing a lentiviral vector expressing RIG-G under doxycycline (DOX) regulation.Methods:RIG-G gene ampliifcation was performed by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR). pLenti6/TO/V5-GIM-RIG-G lentiviral vector withGFP was built by LR recombination system. The concentration of pLenti6/TO/V5-GIM-RIG-G lentiviral vector andTet-on lentiviral vector were measured by virus titer method. After infecting A549 cells, stably transfected lines were selected via limiting dilution analysis.RIG-G gene expression was examined by immunolfuorescence staining and Western blot assay. Cellular proliferation was determined by CCK-8 assay.Results:The concentrations of pLenti6/TO/V5-GIM-RIG-G lentiviral vector andTet-on lentiviral vector were 1.0×108TU/mL and 4×109 VP/mL, respectively. RIG-G was expressed in lentivirus infected A549 cells after adding DOX, and the amount of cells withGFP could be observed by lfuorescence microscopy.After the expression of RIG-G protein, the prolif-eration activity of A594 cell was signiifcantly inhibited compared to the control group (1.168±0.107vs 2.099±0.162, P<0.05).Conclusion:The regulated expression ofRIG-G gene was established in A549 lung cancer cell line. The RIG-G protein has potential abilities to inhibit the proliferation of lung cancer cell A549.

Objective To evaluate the serum level of antimicrobial peptide human cationic antimicrobial protein 18 ( hCAP18 ) in non-small cell lung cancer ( NSCLC ) patients and its auxiliary diagnosis and prognosis value.Methods Case-control study was used.The serum level of hCAP18 was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay ( ELISA) in 50 cases with NSCLC patients of department of thoracic surgery and 50 cases healthy people of department of physical examination from January 2011 to January 2012 in Tongji Hospital of Tongji University.The concentrations of hCAP18 in serum of NSCLC patients before and after surgery were analyzed.The sensitivity and specificity of serum hCAP18 for the diagnosis of NSCLC were evaluated using the receiver operating characteristic ( ROC ) curves.Data was analyzed by using the t-test and Log-rank test.Results Serum hCAP18 concentration in NSCLC patients (6 733 ±771.8) μg/L was significantly higher than in healthy controls (253 ±6.9) μg/L (t=8.396, P<0.05) .However, the concentration of hCAP18 showed no significant difference between squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma[(6 300.0 ±1 221.0) μg/L and (7 074.0 ±1 005.0) μg/L, respectively;t=0.494 2, P <0.05 ] .hCAP18 levels had significantly decreased in serum of NSCLC patients after 30 d surgery compared to preoperative results[from (6 733.0 ±771.8) μg/L to (433.6 ±38.2)μg/L;t=8.512, P<0.05].ROC analysis of serum hCAP18 yielded an AUC (Area under the ROC curve) of 0.931 ( 95% CI =0.884 -0.978 ) with 95% sensitivity and 96.3% specificity, which was higher than the CYFRA21-1[0.873 (95%CI=0.758-0.917)].The relapse rate of NSCLC patients with serum hCAP18≤390.0 μg/L was 12.5%(4/32), while 44.4%(8/18) in NSCLC patients with serum hCAP18>390.0μg/L (χ2 =22.64,P<0.05).Conclusions Detection of serum hCAP18 shows a good sensitivity and specificity for the auxiliary diagnosis of NSCLC. It is possible to be a potential detection index for noninvasive diagnosis and monitoring progression of lung cancer.

Objective To establish a TaqMan-MGB fluorescent probe characterized real-time polymerase chain reaction ( qPCR) method for detecting retinoic acid induced genes G ( RIG-G) in human acute promyelocytic leukemia ( M3 ) .Analyze RIG-G expression levels in peripheral blood of both normal persons and M3 patients and explore its diagnosis value for M 3.Methods Methodology establishment study.A detection method and standard curve of TaqMan-MGB real-time PCR were established after designing specific primers and TaqMan-MGB fluorescence probe of human RIG-G gene and using reverse transcription complementary DNA ( cDNA) as a template.The performance of this method was evaluated in specificity, accuracy, precision, analytical sensitivity and interference substances . Twenty clinical specimens with M3 were quantified RIG-G expression so as to evaluate the correlation between peripheral blood and bone marrow samples .Meanwhile , the results of RIG-G expression in peripheral blood of 40 normal specimens and 20 patients with M3 were analyzed by t-test.And receiver-operating characteristic curve ( ROC ) was used to analyze the detection efficiency of M 3.Results There was a good linear relationship between log value of RIG-G standard substance and threshold cycle number ( Ct ) ( standard curve equation:Y=-3.539X+42.952,R2 =0.999).New method was used to detect standard substance . The deviation between observed and expected values was <5% (r=0.999).Three concentration samples (107 ,104 ,101 copies/μl) were selected for precision test.Intra-assay coefficients of variation were 1.38%, 2.31% and 1.38%, respectively , and intre-assay coefficients of variation were 0.71%, 1.17% and 5.07%, separately.All were less than 10%.The sensitivity of this method was 101 copies/μl.There was a good correlation of RIG-G results between peripheral blood and bone marrow in M 3 patients(r=0.996, b=0.973).But there was no significant difference between this two group results (t=0.099, P>0.05). However , there was obvious difference of RIG-G value in peripheral blood between control group and M 3 patient group (U=18,P<0.001), 3.62 ×104(1.61 ×104 -4.90 ×104)copies/μl for controls and 7.10 ×102 (5.43 ×102 -2.21 ×103 ) copies/μl for M3 patients, respectively.Conclusions Successfully establishe a TaqMan-MGB real-time PCR method for detecting RIG-G gene in peripheral blood.The accuracy, precision, sensitivity and specificity are good .It could provide necessary help in early diagnosis and monitor treatment of clinical M3 patients.

BACKGROUND:Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) had 3 kinds of receptors in vitro. Some researches had showed that LPA1, LPA2 and LPA3 receptors distributed widely in mouse cerebral cortex, nephritic external medulla layer and internal medulla layer, spermary, thymus, heart, lung, stomach, spleen, whereas less in liver, small intestine and skeletal muscles. Whether there are various LPA receptors in mouse VSMC membrane deserves further study.OBJECTIVE: To observe the mRNA expression of LPA receptors in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC).DESIGN: Observational comparative experiment.SETTING: Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.MATERIALS: A total of 24 C57BL/6 mice aged 7-8 weeks, of either sex, with the body mass of approximately (25±3) g,were purchased from the Animal Department of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Trizol was purchased from America Invitrogen; dNTP Mix, Rnasin were obtained from TaKaRa; M-MLV reverse transcriptase and buffer system were from Promega; Taq DNA-polymerase and buffer system were from Biostar.Oligo(dT)18 primer were from Sangon, Shanghai. Primer sequences were designed referring to literature and nucleotide sequence database and synthesized by Sangon, Shanghai.METHODS: The experiment was conducted at the Comprehensive Laboratory, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology between August 2005 and January 2006. Mice were anaesthetized by abdominal cavity with 20 g/L ketamine (5 mL/kg). Thoracic aorta was obtained sterilely, and VSMC was cultured with adherence method. The 4th-6th passage cells were used in the trial. Cell purity was over 95%. Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was applied to determine the mRNA expression of LPA receptors gene in mouse VSMC.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Detection of mRNA expression of LPA receptors in mouse VSMC and comparison of receptor types.RESULTS: There were no significant differences between the expressions of LPA1 receptors and LPA2 receptors (P ＞ 0.05). Compared with LPA1 receptors and LPA2 receptors (0.79±0.05,0.82±0.06), the LPA3 receptor expression was lower (0.53±0.05, q =23.78,26.53, P＜ 0.01 ).CONCLUSION: There are 3 kinds of LPA receptors in VSMC, and their molecular masses are 600 bp, 463 bp and 899 bp,respectively. There are no differences for the expressions between LPA1 receptors and LPA2 receptors, while the LPA3 receptor expression is less.
