1.Assessment on quality of examination paper from 2005 to 2010 in a medical university

Objective To assess the quality of examination paper,level of examination paper proposition,teachers' teaching quality and teaching effect by sampling inspection of examination paper.Methods Examination papers of 85 courses were quantitatively assessed by using evaluation form of Examination Paper Quality of Anhui Medical University.Results Propositions of papers were well or largely complied with the requirements of syllabus.2.4% of examination papers had content errors.Students' scores of 91.6% papers were in normal distribution.Quality of papers was improved year by year,but was significantly different among public basic courses,specialized basic courses and specialized courses(x2 =8.865,P =0.042).The qualitative analysis results showed that there were shortcomings in proposition,grading,paper analysis and archiving.Conclusions Management of examination paper is needed to improve the quality of teaching and studying and pave the way for the undergraduate teaching evaluation.
2.Focus on the Establishment of Communist Among Student,Promote the Cultivation of Medical Calibers

Development of communist party among the students in the universities plays an important role through out the university educational process.Soundly based on the development of advancement of communist party and the party's self-further organization;with laying the stress on the inproving of the technical & moral standard of each party member,Fu Dan University Shanghai Medical College entirely improved the quality of the education on medical calibers through the means of closely connecting the activites of party establishment among the students and the cultivation of medical elite at the same time,which was guaranteed by the system building up through out the process of carrying out of the various activities.
3.Perioperative managements of VLBW preterms with hsPDA

Objective The aim of this study is to retrospectively analyze perioperative managements of very-low-birth-weight(VLBW) preterms with hemodynamic significant patent ductus arteriosus (hsPDA).Methods Between January 2006 and December 2011,totally 22 VLBW preterms with hsPDA underwent surgical ductal ligation.There were 12 boys and 10 girls.The median gestatianal age was 29 weeks (24 + 5-32 +6 weeks).The birth weight was (1103 ± 228) g(640-1440 g).The Apgar score was 6.1 ± 2.2 at 1 minute,8.6 ± 1.2 at 5 minutes.The average ductal size was (3.79 ± 1.01)mm (2.0-5.9 mm)、(2.69 ± 0.84) mm/kg(1.23-4.23 mm/kg),left atrial diameter to aortic root ratio(LA:AO) was 1.69 ± 0.41.The median weight at surgery was 1500 g(640-2100 g),average (1512 ±539) g.The median age at surgery was 24 days (11-167 days).Results 1 case death because of anesthetic accident.The average hospitalization days were (67.1 ± 36.1) days.The days of ventilation treatment after surgery were 2-44 days,15 cases (68.2%) weaned from mechanical ventilation within seven days after surgeries.The complications includes pulmonary hemorrhage (18.2%),necrotizing enterocolitis (13.6%),septicemia(22.7%),broncho-pulmonary dysplasia (63.7%),brain injury(18.1%),retinopathy of prematurity (31.8%),pneumonia (86.4%) and metabolic acidosis (45.5 %).Conclusion For VLBW preterms with hsPDA,early diagnosis and early interfere are key points.Surgical PDA ligation is a promising option to avoid severe complications when medical treatments are ineffective.
4.Early experience on the standard Norwood stageⅠprocedure for hypoplastic left heart syndrome

Objective Norwood StageⅠis the standard procedure to cope with hypoplastic left heart syndrome(HLHS), which continues to be the most challenging congenital heart disease .The aim of this study is to retrospectively analyse the perio-perative management of Norwood StageⅠ.Methods Between June 2010 and August 2014, totally 5 small infants with HLHS underwent the standard Norwood StageⅠprocedure.They were all boys.Age at surgeries ranged from 29 to 75 days, and weight from 2.57-3.50 kg with median of 3.13 kg.Case 1, 2 and 3 received standard medical regimen after accessing NICU, which included intravenous prostaglandin E1 and mechanical ventilation.The 3 infants underwent emergent operations because of unstable hemodynamics.Case 4 and 5 received no medical intervention before the urgent surgeries.All 5 cases underwent the standard Norwood StageⅠprocedure under deep hypothermic circulatory arrest, including 4 cases of modified Blalock-Taus-sig shunt( MBTS) and 1 case of Sano shunt.Results The case with Sano shunt died from severe hypoxemia and persistent aci-dosis 32 hours after the operation, another case died from low cardiac output syndrome after cardiopulmonary bypass.The first case underwent bidirectional Glenn procedure 12 months after Norwood Stage I, the postoperative heart function was NYHA I and the oxygen saturation was 0.90-0.95 in room air, but he died from accidental brain injury 3 months after stage Ⅱ.The second case was followed up 3 months after stage I procedure with NYHA I and oxygen saturation of 0.78-0.83 in room air, and lost the follow-up after.The fifth case was followed up 3 months after stageⅠprocedure with NYHAⅠ, confluent MBTS and oxygen saturation of 0.84, the patient is being followed up and waiting for further evaluation for stageⅡprocedures.Con-clusion The standard Norwood StageⅠprocedure is a complex procedure, which demands multidisplinary cooperation, to pal-liatively correct HLHS .Sharing expericences on perioperative managements of Norwood Stage I between heart centers in China will be helpful to decrease the mortality and morbidity in relatively short period .
5.Expression of Notch pathway receptors and ligands in cutaneous malignant melanoma

Objective To determine the expression of Notch pathway receptors (Notch1 and Notch4) and ligands (Jagged1 and Dll4) in cutaneous malignant melanoma (CMM) tissues,and to preliminarily explore the role of the Notch signaling pathway in the pathogenesis of CMM.Methods Immunohistochemical study was performed to determine the expression pattern and intensity of Notch1,Notch4,Jagged1 and Dll4 in 40 paraffin-embedded CMM specimens and 15 paraffin-embedded pigmented nevus specimens.Statistical analysis was carried out by chi-square test and Spearman rank correlation analysis with the SPSS 21.0 software.Results Notchl was detected in 31 (77.5%) of 40 CMM specimens,as well as in 3 of 15 pigmented nevus specimens,and the positive rates significantly differed between the two groups (x2 =15.281,P < 0.001).However,no significant difference in the expression intensity of Notch1 was observed between 18 in situ melanoma tissues and 22 invasive melanoma tissues (x2 =0.631,P =0.427).In addition,the positive rates of Notch4,Jagged1 and Dll4 were also significantly higher in the CMM group than those in the pigmented nevus group (all P < 0.05),and the expression intensity of Notch4,Jagged1 and Dll4 significantly differed between in situ and invasive melanoma tissues (all P < 0.05).In CMM tissues,the expression of Notch1 was positively correlated with that of Jagged1 (rs =0.350,P =0.027) and Dll4 (rs =0.562,P < 0.001),while the expression of Jaggedl was negatively correlated with that of Dl14 (rs =-0.734,P < 0.001).Conclusion Abnormality of the Notch signaling pathway may be involved in the pathogenesis of melanoma,but further researches are still needed to elucidate the detailed mechanism.
6.Effects of GCIP-27 on the structure of left ventricle in spontaneously hypertensive rats

Aim To observe the effects of GCIP-27(G protein competitive inhibitory polypeptide-27) on the structure of left ventricle in spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHR).Methods Thirty SHR rats of 12 weeks old were randomly divided into five groups(n=6):blank control groups,GCIP-27(10,30,90 ?g?kg-1,ip,bid)groups,and Losartan group(6 mg?kg-1),six Wistar-Kyotos(WKY) rats were as normal control.Systolic blood pressure(SBP)was measured once per two weeks with tail-sleeve methods.At the end of the 8th week,left ventricle weight index(LVWI)were determined.Myocardium structure was observed by polaroscope and transmission electron microscope.The area and content of myocardial interstitial collagen were treated for semiquantitative analysis by image analyzer system.Results The SBP in GCIP-27(10,30,90 ?g?kg-1)groups decreased significantly from the 2 nd to the 8th week by comparison with blank control group.GCIP-27(10,30,90 ?g?kg-1) lowered heart mass index(HMI)and left ventricular mass index(LVMI)markedly compared with blank control group(P
7.Bacteria Flora in Nosocomial Infection over the Past Five Years:Analysis on Distribution Tendency and Drug Resistance

OBJECTIVE To understand the distribution or change and drug resistance of the bacteria flora in nosocomial infection,in order to provide laboratory evidence for controlling nosocomial infection and to indicate clinical antimicrobial agents usage.METHODS All isolates were identified by routine procedure and VITEK microbe automatic system and API identified system.Drug susceptibility test was used K-B paper disk diffusion method in accordance with the CLSI/NCCLS standards.RESULTS There were 11 464 strains of bacteria which were obtained from 2002 to 2006.Sputum,secretion and middle urine were the major specimens.The major bacteria floras were Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli,Acinetobacter,Enterococcus,Staphylococcus and Candida albicans,whose isolating rates were 57.02% in 2002,64.46% in 2003,57.83% in 2004,57.49% in 2005,and 60.73% in 2006.E.coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae produced ESBLs rates were from 39.87% to 61.98% that drug resistance rates to cefoperazone/sulbactam and imipenem were 14.06% and 0.64%.The drug resistance rates of nonferment Gram-negtive bacteria to cefoperazone/sulbactam were below 33.22%,Gram-positive cocci to vancomycin was below 0.34%.CONCLUSIONS Now,the important bacteria flora is nonferment Gram-negative bacteria in nosocomial infection.The P.aeruginosa,E.coli,Acinetobacter baumannii,Enterococcus faecalis,C.albicans,and meticillin-resistant staphylococcus(MRS) were prevalent important bacteria in nosocomial infection.The situation of producing ESBLs in Enterobacteriaceae is very severe.Glycopeptides are the best choice to MRS.To zymogenic bacteria and the nonferment Gram-negtive bacteria that cause severe infection,combining-drug treatment can be chosen according to drug susceptibility test results.

10.Progress in the national talent training program for inheritance of characteristic traditional Chinese medicine technology

To alleviate the shortage of excellent talents of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine has decided to cultivate a group of talents with strong theoretical foundation, rich practical experience and exquisite skills who would like to devote themselves to TCM technology research. The national talent training program for inheritance of characteristic TCM technology is a major breakthrough in the history of new China in the cultivation of high-level TCM technology talents. A retrospective analysis was performed on the national talent training program for inheritance of characteristic TCM technology hold in training bases from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong Province, Jiangsu Province, Anhui Province, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Heilongjiang Province, Yunnan Province, Sichuan Province, Shaanxi Province and Fujian Province. Based on the completion assessment work of 2014 and 2015 national talent training program for inheritance of characteristic TCM technology, and after knowledge exchange and discussion with the training subjects from 30 provinces and some teaching experts in the field of characteristic TCM technology, this paper summarizes the work of the national talent training program for inheritance of characteristic TCM technology. After trained in bases in China, training subjects' theoretical knowledge and practical skills as well as their comprehensive capacity have been greatly promoted. At the same time, there are also some problems and shortages. For example, characteristic TCM technology in some training bases is not prominent enough, some characteristic TCM technologies are not well inherited, and the affiliations of some training subjects do not pay enough attention to it. All of these problems should be solved and improved in future work.
