Objective: To establish a method for the determination of amidozon and amantadine hydrochloride in compound amantadine hydrochloride tablets by HPLC-ELSD.Methods: The analytical column was an Agilent Eclipse Plus C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm).The mobile phase consisted of 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid solution-acetonitrile (85∶15) and the flow rate was 0.7 ml · min-1.The column temperature was room temperature.Both evaporation temperature and atomization temperature were 40 ℃.The flow rate of carrier gas (nitrogen) was 1.8 L · min-1 and the injection volume was 10 μl.Results: The peak area and logarithm of injection volume of ampicrine showed a good linear relationship within the range of 606.72-3 033.60 μg · ml-1 (r=0.999 7), and that of amantadine hydrochloride showed a good linear relationship within the range of 400.96-2 004.80 μg·ml-1 (r=0.999 4).The average recovery was 99.5% and 99.3%, and RSDs was 0.35% and 0.40%(n=9), respectively.Conclusion: The method is simple, rapid, accurate and reproducible, and suitable for the determination of aminopyrine and amantadine hydrochloride in compound amantadine aminopyrine tablets.

Objective To explore the mammographic characteristics and technique in mammary tumor.Methods The mammographic materials of 200 cases with breast tumors which were confirmed by surgery, ultrasonography, biopsy or clinic follow-up were collected and analyzed retrospectively.Results Benign mammary tumors were found in 138 cases. They were the masses with round or ellipse in shape mammographically and soft clinically. In 62 cases of breast cancer, the mammogram showed irregular masses in 37 cases (59.7%), oval in 25 (40.3%), clustered tiny calcification in 32 (51.6%) and local infiltration in 4 (6.5%). The masses were hard on palpation, and their sizes were smaller on mammogram than that on palpation. Conclusion mammography is the initial modality for breast tumor, which can demonstrate main direct and indirect signs of the breast cancer, and shares high value in early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the disease.

Objective To investigate the relationship between Alloiococcus otitidis (A. otitidis) and Secretory Otitis Media (SOM) in adults.Methods The study included 39 adult patients suffering from SOM and 42 samples (middle ear effusion, MEE)were collected. We detected the four organisms(A. otitidis ,S. pneumoniae, H.influenzae and M. catarrhalis) by mutiplex PCR, for comparing the bacterial findings in the patients with or without cold history, with or without antibiotic treatment, with effusion of different characters and durations by chi-square test. Results The DNA of A. otitidis was detected from 5 MEEs(11.9%).To acute SOM, only 1 sample was PCR-positive for A. otitidis; and to chronic SOM,4 samples were positive. There was a significant difference between them. There were 3 serous MEEs and 2 mucous MEEs, which were PCR-positive for A. otitidis, and there was a significant difference between them. Antibiotic therapy didn't contribute to PCR-positive for A.otitidis. Conclusion There is A. otitidis in the MEEs of adult SOM and it may be a pathogenic factor in SOM. A. otitidis may play an important role in chronic SOM.

In order to investigate the relationship between gastric juice ammonia concentrations and severity of inflammation in helicobacter pylori (Hp ) associated gastritis. Gastric juice ammonia concen- trations were measured in 39 cases Hp -positive and 23 cases Hp -negative chronic gastritis patients .at the same time , the severity of inflammation in gastric untral mucosa was also evaluataed by the method of polymorphonuclear (PMN) and mononuclear (MN ) count. OBJECTIVE To investigate the clinical results and feasibility of auricular prostheses by osseointegration technique for total auricular defect.METHODS Nineteen patients with traumatic total auricular defect who had underwent operation of bone-anchored auricular prosthesis were studied retrospectively.There were 12 cases with congenital microtia after an unsuccessful total auricular reconstruction,1 case with sulfuric acid burn,1 case with high temperature aluminum liquid burn,4 cases with traffic accident and 1 case with knife trauma.All the cases were followed-up for 3 to 5 years.RESULTS All the patients were cured after operation once.They all had vivid appearances with natural color and luster.The auricular prosthesis by osseointegration technique was stable and had no harm for daily life.CONCLUSION Auricular prosthesis by osseointegration technique is a convenient method with less trauma,short curing time,no complication and good result.It is a salvage treatment for patients after unsuccessful total auricular reconstruction.It is also a priority method for patients with scar formation after total auricular defects.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy ofZi Wu Liu Zhu Na Jia needling (acupuncture based on midnight-noon ebb-flow theory) in treating spastic hemiplegia after cerebral stroke by using surface electromyography (sEMG).Method Fifty-two patients with spastic hemiplegia due to cerebral stroke were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 26 cases each. The two groups were both intervened by conventional rehabilitation training. In addition, the treatment group was givenZi Wu Liu Zhu Na Jia needling and the control group was given ordinary acupuncture. The two groups were treated once a day, 15 sessions as a course. The ambulation ability, muscle tension, neurological deficit score (NDS), Fugl-Meyer Assessment Scale (FMA), and Berg Balance Scale (BBS) were evaluated before the intervention and after 2 treatment courses, and the sEMG signals were also collected and analyzed.Result The Holden's Functional Ambulation Classification (FAC) and Modified Ashworth Scale scores were significantly changed in the two groups after the intervention (P<0.01). After the intervention, the FAC and MAS scores in the treatment group were significantly different from those in the control group (P<0.05). The NDS, FMA and BBS scores were significantly changed in the two groups after the treatment (P<0.05). The NDS, FMA and BBS scores in the treatment group were significantly different from those in the control group after the treatment (P<0.05). Of the sEMG signals, H/M max in the treatment group was significantly different from that in the control group after the intervention (P<0.01).Zi Wu Liu Zhu Na Jia needling with rehabilitation training can significantly mitigate the muscle tension and promote the activities of daily living in patients with spastic hemiplegia after cerebral stroke.

Objective To explore the difference between the stapes prosthesis surgery with microscope and with otoscope. Methods Fifty-four patients with otoselerosis accepted stapes prosthesis surgery with the same kind of stapes prosthesis, done in the same operative method by the identical surgeon.All the operations were done with microscopes or with otoscopes. The operative difference and therapeutic effects between microscope surgery and otoscope surgery were analysed. Results There was no difference in the postoperative heating improvement between microscope surgery and otoscope surgery; the operative time of microscope surgery [(30±7)] min was much shorter than that of otoscope surgery [(60±5)] min,with significant statistical difference. Conclusions Stapes prosthesis surgery with microscope, which has advantages of bimanualness, easiness, and short operative time, is much better than that with otoscope.Thus, microscope is still the preferred magnifying equipment in stapes prosthesis surgery.

Objective To investigate the value of renal CT arteriography in the preoperation evaluation of patients with renal tumors.Methods From Jan 2007 to June 2012,372 patients with renal tumors took renal CT arteriography (with Philips Brilliance 16) to evaluate the variations of their renal arteries.We executed plain scan first,then artery phase,venous phase scan and delaying scan by turns after injections of Omnipaque.All images were delivered to imaging workstation and reconstructed to 3D views of renal arteries to supply imageological supports for surgeons.Results Tumors in solitary kidneys were detected in 21 patients,and masses in both kindneys were detected in 4 cases.We collected data of 376 kidneys finally.We found premature branching renal arteries on 46 kidneys (12.2％) and accessory renal arteries on 74 kidneys (19.7％).Double accessory renal arteries were seen on 10 kidneys (2.7％),and there were 84 accessory renal arteries in summary.7 accessory renal arteries (7.2％) came from arteria phrenica and 77 (91.7％) came from abdominal aorta (x2 =65.68,P ＜ 0.01).We found the regions where the accessory renal arteries entered kidneys:65.5％ (55/84) in upper poles,19.0％ (16/84) in central regions and 15.5％ (13/84)in inferior poles.Routine CT scans found 44 variations of renal arteries in 218 cases who underwent surgeries,and then renal CT arteriography found 63 variations in the same cases (20.2％ vs 28.9％,x2 =4.47,P ＜ 0.05).Finally,surgeons found 60 variations of renal artries in operations in the 63 cases with variations found by renal CT arteriography before surgeries.Conclusions There is limitations of routine CT scan (plain scan and with contrast medium) in detection of renal artery variations.Renal CT arteriography can supply reliable supports for establishment of surgical plans for renal tumors.

Objective To evaluate the application of the inlay butterfly cartilage graft technique in myringoplasty.Methods Thirty--eight ears in 38 patients (experiment group) with dry central drum perforations were treated with inlay butterfly cartilage myringoplasty,and 46 ears in 46 patients with underlay temporalis fascia myringoplasty (control group).Results After a mean follow-up of 6 months,the healing rate did not differ between two groups (92.1% in experiment group,91.3% in control group,P＞ 0.05).Average pure-tone hearing threshold improved than 10 dB and closure of the air-bone gap (ABG) within 10 dB were not different (P ＞ 0.05).The cured patients were followed up for 12-38 months,there was no ear perforation of drum in experiment group,but 4 ears in control group.Condusion Inlay butterfly cartilage myringoplasty is the reliable and ideal method for tzeating dry central drum pedoration with high success rate.

Objective To optimize the conditions of extraction process of polysaccharides from seeds of Toona sinensis; To preliminary determinate the antioxidant activity in vitro. Methods The content of polysaccharides from Toona sinensis was chosen as evaluation index; the extraction time, material liquid ratio, and extraction times were chosen as factors; L9(34) orthogonal design was used to optimize extraction process; antioxidant activity of polysaccharides from Toona sinensis was investigated by the total reducing power and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryhydrazyl (DPPH) method. Results From the statistical data of processing, the optimal extracting conditions were as follows:liquid to material was 1:12, extraction time was 120 min, and extracted for 3 times. Polysaccharides from seeds of Toona sinensis had certain reducing capacity and had better scavenging ability on DPPH? and the scavenging rate significantly increased with the concentration. The effect was simulated by curve equation. Conclusion The process is simple, feasible, stable and reliable and can be used for the small-scale study on extraction of polysaccharides from seeds of Toona sinensis. Polysaccharides from seeds of Toona sinensis have antioxidant activity.
