Chinese Journal of General Practitioners 2012;11(3):217-218
The status of anesthesia and psychotropic substances use for cancer pain control was analyzed in 355 cancer patients in Huanggu District of Shenyang City. The results revealed that patients aged 60 and above accounted for 62.8% of the total; the 5 leading diseases were lung cancer ( 132 cases,37.2% ),colorectal cancer (34 cases,9.6% ),liver cancer (33 cases,9.3% ),stomach cancer ( 31cases,8.7% ) and pancreatic cancer (20 cases,5.6% ).There was no significant difference in constituent ratio of disease categories in the last 4 years ( x2 =18.75,P > 0.05 ).The daily oral dose of morphine sulphate was 60 - 200 mg with an effective rate of 91.5% (325/355). AIM: To determine the changes of the serum levels of tumor necrosis factor ? (TNF-?), interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-10, C reactive protein (CRP) and D-dimer in the patients with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) and compare the relationship between the levels of cytokines in early stage and MODS. METHODS: The serum values of TNF-?, IL-6, IL-10, CRP and D-dimer were measured in 27 patients with MODS in 1 d, 3 d and 5 d after undergoing disease, and compared with the adult peripheral blood of 15 normal controls. The levels in the first undergoing day between the lived group (n=19) and died group (n=8) were compared. RESULTS: The serum levels of TNF-?, IL-6, IL-10, CRP and D-dimer in MODS group were higher than that in control (P

Data were analyzed from self-filled questionnaires for the students who took the elective course of general practice in China Medical University. 95.5% of students thought it was necessary to study general practice in the college. 0-10 was used to score the degree of how they want to choose general practice as a career, the median was 0 before they had the class and the median was 5 after the class (Wilcoxon rank test, P<0.01). But there were still some places need to be improved in terms of curriculum design, teaching methods and community practice. The General Practice teaching need to be innovated and the teaching mode should be different from the traditional one.

One hundred and forty-four medical students were enrolled in the study, the participants were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 72 in each. All students attended the theoretical lecture of general medicine. Students in experimental group took part in the extracurricular teaching activities including the nutritional course and practice, the clinical case study and problem based learning ( PBL), students in control group did not have the extracurricular activities. The results showed that although there was no difference in general testing scores between two groups, the problem solving ability and assay-writing ability of experimental group were significantly higher than those of control group.

Herald of Medicine 2019;38(2):252-256
Objective To improve the accuracy of prescription checking and provide reference for rational drug administration. Methods Intervention mistakes exsisting in prescription checking in 2016 were retrospectively studied to analyze pharmacist' s misunderstanding during prescription checking. Results The error rate of prescription intervention was higher in department of cardiology, department of general internal medicine and department of neurology, accounting for 0.6%, 0.24% and 0.23%, respectively.Inaccurate prescriptions for intervention, inaccurate medication and inaccurate repeat injections ranked the top 3 of erroneous prescriptions, with the proportions of 25.11%, 22.98% and 17.45%, respectively. Conclusion Pharmacists should regularly summarize the misconceptions existed in the prescription audit, take individualized medication thoughts as guidance, strengthen the multi-disciplinary knowledge learning.
