1.The role of neurokinin B and its receptor in hypothalamic-pituitary-gonad axis
International Journal of Pediatrics 2013;(3):220-222
Kisspoptin signaling plays an essential role in the onset of puberty and reproductive development.Recently studies implicate that steroid-responsive NKB,kisspeptin,NK3 R,and estrogen receptor α (ERα) coexpress in arcuate nucleus of hypothalamus of variety of mammalian species and regulate the secretion of gonadotrophic hormone. The function of neurons in the hypothalamus is to regulate the estrogen negative feedback on gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion.Loss of function of neurokinin B (NKB) or its receptor, the neurokinin-3 receptor produces idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. These studies demonstrate NKB and neurokinin-3 receptor as the essential elements of the human reproductive axis.

3.Anti-tumor research targeting IAPs
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2016;32(5):612-615
Apoptosis inhibitors ( inhibitor of apoptosis proteins, IAPs) are a class of highly conserved apoptotic endogenous anti-cytokine family, primarily by inhibiting caspase activity and par-ticipation in regulation of nuclear factor NF-κB inhibition of ap-optosis. caspases cascade of protease activation is a central part of the apoptotic process, Bcl-2 family proteins and IAPs family proteins are the main controlling factors. In recent years, we found that abnormal expression of some IAPs members is closely associated with the tumor, a potential target for cancer therapy. Therefore, this paper reviews the major protein associated with IAPs family and anti-tumor research targeting IAPs.

Aim To explore the effects of Yupingfeng polysaccharide(YPF-P)on T cells of adjuvant arthritis(AA)in rats. Methods Freund's complete adjuvant was used to induce AA in rat.Secondary paw swelling of AA rats was measured with volumeter.Peripneral blood lymphocyte proliferation response induced by concanavalin A(ConA)was examined with MTT assay. The CD4+ and CD8+ T cell in peripheral blood were detected by flow cytometer.ELISA method was applied to determine the content of factor IFN-? and radio-immunity assay of factor IL-4.RT-PCR procedures were utilized to determine the expression of IFN-? mRNA.Results 80,160 mg?kg-1 YPF-P could singnificantly inhibit the secondary paw swelling of AA rats. The suppressesion of lymphocyte proliferation of peripheral blood T cell in AA rats was reversed. After treatment by YPF-P,the number of CD4+ cell and the ratio of CD4+/CD8+ markedly decreased. The level of IFN-? in YPF-P treating group was obviously decreased in comparison with that of model control group, while the level of IL-4 was increased. The mRNA expression of IFN-? was inhibited as well. Conclusion Yupingfeng polysaccharide can regulate the turbulence of periphery abnormal T cell subgroups of adjuvant arthritis rats and can recover Th1/Th2 balance to move towards Th1,which may be one of its mechanisms of inhibiting the secondary paw swelling.

BACKGROUND: Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) has been widely used as medical implants and drug vehicle. Due to various factors involved in the degradation process, it is rather difficult to simulate the mass loss properties of PLGA.OBJECTIVE: To investigate the mass loss properties of PLGA films, and observe the correlation between the stimulation and the factual measurement.DESIGN: Repeated measuring experiment. SETTING: School of Materials Science and Engineering, Dalian University of Technology.MATERIALS: PLGA 50:50, 70:30 and 75:25 with weight average molecular weight (Mw) of 63 000, 115 000 and 400 000 were purchased from Shandong Key Laboratory of Medical Polymer Materials, and 1,4-dioxane (analytically pure) was purchased from Tianjin No.1 Chemical Reagent Factory and used as solvent.METHODS: The experiments were carried out in the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Dalian University of Technology from April to July in 2006.①PLGA were dissolved in 1, 4-dioxane according to the mass ratio of 50:50, 70:30 and 75:25, and the solution were cast into 10 mm×10 mm×1 mm polymer films.②PLGA films were immersed in Hank's simulated body fluid (Ph 7.4) at 37 ℃, and then taken out every week (every 5 days for PLGA 50:50). The samples were washed and dried to measure the changes of number and Mw using gel permeation chromatography. Degradation velocity was also worked out. Meanwhile the mass loss properties of PLGA films were measured using electronic balance. Furthermore, an improved Monte Carlo method was applied to carry out the correlation analysis with experiment data. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ①degradation rates of PLGA with different ratios of lactic acid and glycolic acid.②the correlation coefficient between simulation results and experiment data.RESULTS: ①The degradation rates for PLGA at 50:50, 70:30 and 75:25 were 0.058 5, 0.016 6 and 0.010 1 /d (based on Mn), or 0.061 0, 0.017 5 and 0.008 5 /d (based on Mw), respectively.②Correlation coefficients between simulation results and experiment data for PLGA 50:50, 70:30 and 75:25 were 0.973 6, 0.987 4 and 0.990 3 correspondingly. CONCLUSION:The numerical simulation results for the mass loss properties of PLGA fit the experiment data well.
