1.Clinical study of telbivudine on PCR technique to detect the DNA of Mycobacterium tuberculosis

ObjectiveTo value fluorescent quantified PCR (polymerase chain reaction) technique to detect the DNA of Mycobacterium tuberculosis from clinical patients.MethodsDetect the DNA of TB from the sputum of 80 active tuberculosis and hydrothorax of 40 tuberculous pleuritis.At equal pace,make a comparison to proceed microscopic examination and cultivation.ResultsWith fluorescent quantified PCR,56.2% (45/80),27.5% (11/40)positive detection from active tuberculosis and tuberculous pleuritis respectively.16.2% ( 13/80 ),0.0% positive specimen were detected with microscopic examination in two group of patients.Cultivation got 37.5% (30/80),2.5%(1/40) positive detection respectively.ConclusionFluorescent quantified PCR was more sensitive and specific than traditional methods,and valuable in the microscopic examination and cultivation negative patients especially.
2.A Nosocomial Infection Point-Prevalence Survey in Pediatric Department

OBJECTIVE To estimate the prevalence of nosocomial infections(NI)and the use of antibacterials in pediatric department,find the problems in management of hospital infection and provide the scientific basis for formulating prevention and control measures.METHODS By bed-visiting and patients' medical records checking,we filled out unified case questionnaire.All patients were investigated on August 22,2007.RESULTS Of the 86 patients investigated,the prevalence rate of NI was 4.65%.There were 19 kinds of antibiotics used daily.The daily antibiotics use rate was 95.35%;all of the infection sites were in upper respiratory tract and delivering rate of bacterial culture was only 14.63%.CONCLUSIONS Management and training should be strengthened on antibacterial drug in the pediatric department.The reasonable use of target antibiotics could prevent the abuse ment.

Objective To explore the relationship between children obesity and adiponectin(ADPN),leptin(LP),and high-sensitive C-reactive protein(hsCRP).Methods Seventy-one obese volunteers as obesity group and 30 normal volunteers who matched obese volunteers in age and sex as control group were selected from 13 702 children and adolescents of 2 to 18 years old in Xiangtan city by sampling survey.The body mass index(BMI),ADPN,LP,hsCRP,fasting blood-glucose(FBG),and fasting pure insulin(INS) were checked respectively.The homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR) and the quantitative insulin-sensitivity check index(QUICKI) were calculated.The difference between the two groups was compared and the relationship of all indexes was analyzed.Results The values of ADPN and QUICKI in obesity group were significantly lower than those of control group(P
4.Comparison of Montreal cognitive assessment scale and minimental state examination scale in screening HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders in Shenzhen, China

Objective To compare the performance of Montreal cognitive assessment scale (MoCA) and minimental state examination scale (MMSE) in screening HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND).Methods A case-control study of 127 HIV + and 60 HIV-individuals.All the subjects' cognitive functions were assessed using MoCA and MMSE separately.Results Mean MoCA score in cases was 26.28 ± 2.43 compared to 27.33 ± 1.30 in controls (P < 0.01).Mean MMSE score in cases was 27.45 ± 1.31 compared to 27.70 ±0.89 in controls (P =0.139).Using the MoCA screening revealed 43 (33.9%) cases had HAND compared with 6 (6.7 %) controls (x2 =16.01,P < 0.001).Using MMSE,6 (4.7%) cases and 1(1.7%) control had HAND (P=0.124).Conclusion The MoCA scale is more sensitive in deteting HAND than MMSE and is suited for the early cognitive screening of HIV patients in clinic.
5.Construction and reform of nursing clinical teaching base in traditional Chinese medicine universities

The construction of nursing clinical teaching base in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) universities is an extremely important link in nursing education of TCM universities. Building a clinical base with high performance, high quality and high satisfaction has also become an important goal for the development of the nursing discipline of TCM universities. This article reviews and analyzes the current situation of the construction of the nursing clinical teaching base of TCM universities, aiming at providing ideas and plans for the construction of nursing clinical teaching base of TCM universities, so as to improve the quality of clinical teaching and the teaching level of the TCM nursing clinical teaching base.
6.Preliminary application progresses of ultrasound contrast agents Sonazoid in lymph node metastasis of thyroid cancer

Cervical lymph node metastasis(CLNM)is an important risk factor for recurrence of thyroid cancer,and ultrasound is the first imaging method for preoperative assessing status of cervical lymph node.Ultrasound contrast agents can be used to enhance the echo difference between target site and surrounding tissue,reflect microvascular perfusion and improve diagnostic accuracy.As a new ultrasound contrast agent approved for sale in China in recent years,Sonazoid demonstrated good stability and unique ability of vascular late-phase imaging.The physical properties and preliminary application progresses of Sonazoid in CLNM of thyroid cancer were reviewed in this article.
7.Research progresses in irreversible electroporation for treatment of malignant tumors

Irreversible electroporation(IRE)technology may induce cell apoptosis without generating thermal effect nor vascular structure injuries through electric fields,which has better therapeutic effect when combining with chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy,hence becoming a new option of treating malignant tumors.The mechanisms of IRE and relative research progresses for treating malignant tumors were reviewed in this article.
