Objective To observe the effects of family intervenes on the social function of chronic schizophrenic outpatients in countryside. Methods 150 chronic schizophrenic patient were divided into the intervention group(75 cases)and the control group(75 cases). The intervention group accepted comprehensive family intervention education by the professional, while the control group only accepted the medical intervention. They were assessed with Social Disability Screening Schedule(SDSS),Scale for Assessment of Positive Symptoms(SAPS),Scale for Assessment of Negative Symptoms(SANS),Morningside Rehabilitation Stats Scale(MRSS)before,1 year,2 years and 3 years after intervention. Results The scores of SANS and MRSS improved in the intervention group compared with that of the control group(P<0.001),as well as the ability of self-care,family,responsibility,vocation of SDSS(P<0.05).Conclusion The family intervenes may improve the negative symptom and some social ability of chronic schizophrenic outpatients in countryside.

Based on international framework of rehabilitation, this paper summarized the theories and practice of rehabilitation in Shenzhen. An inclusive rehabilitation model had been established in Shenzhen in light of international concepts of rehabilitation, in which the functions of medical rehabilitation, education, employment, assistive technology, care, right protection, accessible environment and culture had been integrated. The comprehensive services had been provided through this model and the target of inclusive development had been realized.

Objective To study the efficacy of medication management, symptom management and community reentry skills-training modules to prevent rural patients with schizophrenia from relapse and increase their social function. Methods 89 subjects were randomly assigned to the skills training group (45 cases) and the control group (44 cases). Both groups received the same treatments, but the skills training courses were given to the skills training group for twelve weeks when the subjects were addmitted into the trial and at their one-year follow-up timepoint respectively. And a two-year follow-up was carried out. All subjects were evaluated with PANSS, SDSS, relapse and employeement. Results 89 subjects had completed the study. The skills training group demonstrated clinical Results significantly superior to those of the control group on overall improvement according to PANSS and SDSS. Substantially, statistically significant advantages of the skills training group were related to 1) the rate of relapse (11.1% vs 31.8%), 2) the rate of employment (37.8% vs 15.9%).Conclusion Medication management, symptom management and community-re-entry skills-training modules are effective in reducing patients' psychiatric symptoms, preventing them from relapse and increasing their social function.

Objective This study aims to investigate the effect of rehabilitation skills training on suicide and relapse prevention of patients with depression. Methods Eighty patients were randomly divided into two groups. One group accepted depression rehabilitation skills training and the other group accepted general health education for 4 weeks. Both groups were followed up by 12 months, and the number of relapse and suicide and the score of Health-related quality of life made by Word Health Organization (WHOQOL-BREF) were recorded. Results The rate of relapse (10.0% vs.42.5%) and hospitalization (5.0% vs.20.0%) were lower in skills training group than in control group (P<0.05).Rate of seeking help of suicide was higher in skills training group than in control group (25.5% vs.7.5%) (P<0.05).The suicide mortality was insignificantly different between two groups (0.0% vs.2.5%) (P>0.05).The scores of WHOQOL-BREF were significantly higher in skills training group than in control group in follow-up (P<0.05).Conclusions Rehabilitation skills training program can not only reduce the rate of relapse and suicide but also improve the quality of life of patients with depression.

Objective To survey the situation and related factors of maintenance medication treatment in schizophrenic patients re-hospitalized for relapse. Methods 362 patients re-admitted with schizophrenia and their relatives were interviewed with questionnaire which included 16 factors that might affect maintenance medication treatment. Results 63.8% patients stopped medication and 21.1% patients were on low-dose maintenance medication treatment by themselves, while 7.7% patients were on reasonable dose anti-psychotics in 2 years. The time of maintenance medication treatment related with insight (OR=2.2144, P=0.001), family care (OR=4.8842, P=0.025), outcomes of treatment (OR=2.2056, P=0.007) and negative life events (OR=0.4529, P=0.003). Conclusion Schizophrenic patients re-admitted with relapse often withdraw or reduce their medication by themselves, which risked with poor insight, poor therapeutic effect, poor care from their family, and more negative life events

Objective To propose a whole-life cycle management model for valvular heart disease (VHD), systematically elucidate its underlying logic and implementation pathways, and concurrently review and analyze its preliminary application outcomes. Methods Since 2020, West China Hospital of Sichuan University has established a management system encompassing "assessment-decision-intervention-follow-up", including: (1) a risk-stratified, tiered management pathway; (2) six core functions ("promotion, screening, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation") coordinated by disease-specific managers; (3) an intelligent decision support information platform; and (4) a collaborative network of multidisciplinary teams and regional academic alliances. To evaluate the effectiveness of this management model, we retrospectively included three cohorts: (1) the population screened by echocardiography from 2020 to 2024, analyzing the detection rate of aortic valve disease and risk stratification; (2) patients enrolled in the whole-life cycle management from April 2021 to December 2024, assessing follow-up outcomes, hospital satisfaction, and changes in quality of life; (3) patients who underwent transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) from January 2022 to January 2024, evaluating the one-year all-cause mortality rate, perioperative complications, and improvements in New York Heart Association (NYHA) classification. Results Between 2020 and 2024, a total of 583 874 individuals underwent echocardiographic screening. A total of 48 089 patients with aortic valve disease were identified, including 3 401 (7.1%) high-risk patients, 18 657 (38.8%) moderate-risk patients, and 26 031 (54.1%) low-risk patients. Among them, 2 417 patients were enrolled in whole-life cycle management. Patient satisfaction scores showed a yearly increase, rising from 73.89 points before 2020 to 93.74 points in 2024. The 1-year mortality rate in the TAVR cohort decreased to 5.3%, significantly lower than the 8.2% observed under early standard management between 2014 and 2019 (P<0.01). Conclusion Through process optimization and resource integration, the VHD whole-life cycle management model has demonstrated significant effectiveness in standardizing diagnostic and follow-up procedures, enhancing patient satisfaction and quality of life, and reducing mortality. These outcomes highlight its practical value for broader implementation in China.
