Objective To probe into optimal delivered dose of 131I therapy in hyperthyroidism and influencing factors. Methods Data of 6374 patients with hyperthyroidism receiving 131I therapy were summarized and analyzed. The patients were differentiated into Graves group (GD) and multinodular toxic goiter group (NGD) after 131I therapy. To compare incidence of hypothyroidism between two groups after 131I therapy, partial correlations analysis was performed between delivered dose and other variables influencing factors among cured patients. Results After 131I therapy incidence of permanently hypothyroidismin patients with Graves' group was much higher than that in patients with multinodular toxic goiter group(17.01%,0.39%,Pearson x2 value =704.8,P < 0.01).Delivered dose of 131I therapy related closely to thyroid size, with or without nodules and thyroid rigidity(r =0.469,0.484,0.553).Disposable cured rate of 131I therapy was higher than 63.99%.Conclusion 131I therapy is optimal to multinodular toxic goiter.Delivered dose of 131I therapy will be increased for patients with bigger and stiff mass for therapeutic effects.

Objective To detect the levels of homocysteine (Hcy) and anti-phospholipid antibodies (APLA) in the hematoplasma of the patients with deep venous thrombosis (DVT), discuss the reason of DVT recurrence and search for the predictors of it. Methods Sixty cases with DVT in our department from January 2001 to April 2003 were collected, which were divided equally into two groups as primary and recurrent, and first degree relative of the 30 DVT recurrent patients were also collected. The author established a control group using 30 cases of out-patient clinic without varicose veins of lower extremity or insufficient venae profundae. Hcy was detected with fluorescence polarization immunoassay (FPIA) and APLA 〔anticardiolipin antibody, ACLA (IgG, IgM); lupus antibody (LA)〕were detected with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Odds ratios (OR) were also calculated to assess the relative risk of each study group. Results The values of Hcy and ACLA (IgG, IgM) in the primary group and recurrent group were both significantly higher than those of control group and first degree relative group of DVT recurrent patients (P

Objective To improve the diagnostic quality of tumors composed of smooth muscles in alimentary tract. Methods The clinical and X-ray date of 40 cases of smooth musles tumors confirmed by surgery and pathological examination. Results Fifteen cases in the esophagus (including leiomyoma 14,leiomyosarcoma 1)showed the following X-ray appearence:filling defect, unfolding of mucous membrane, widening of the canal and pericanal mass 25 cases in the stomach and intestine(including leiomyoma 6,leiomyoplastoma 7,leiomyosarcoma 12)showed the following X-ray changes depending on the way of tumor, grows, cyst formation caused by tumor necrosis, compression of the stomach or intestine and adjacent organs, rarely seen calcification in tumor. The X-ray changes of small intermascular leiomyoma were short of specific X-ray signs. Conclusion X-ray exeamination is a reliable diagnostic method for smooth muscles tumors in alimentary tract.

Produced by bone cells and stored in the matrix.bone ceil growth factor can contribute to the regulation of bone growth.Gene regulation has its role in bone development. Many factors of this kind have been founded recently. They play their role during the bone formation and absorption processes in the way of autocrine and paracrine. The genes of core binding factor α_1(Cbfα_1)and estrogen receptor α(Erα)have been the recent years'hot factors that are related to the bone development,Gene polymorphism refers to variation on gene level which often occurs in the non-coding domain or the domain bearing no important regulatory function in gene order. This article reviewed the research status of the relation between Cbfα_1 and Erα gene polymorphism with bone development.

Purpose To assess the left ventricular global systolic function changes using three-dimensional speckle tracking imaging (3D-STI) in female patients with subclinical hypothyroidism (SHT) undergoing L-thyroxine treatment. Materials and Methods Thirty-eight female patients with SHT and 40 healthy female volunteers of the same age (control group) were selected, all the SHT patients received L-thyroxine therapy and were followed for 1 year after euthyroid status was achieved; all the participants underwent blood biochemical examinations, complete conventional echocardiographic and 3D-STI examinations, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDd), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVEDs), interventricular septal depth (IVSd), left ventricular posterior wall depth (LVPWd), left atrial diameter (LAD), diastolic mitral flow spectrum of A peak, left ventricular end-diastolic volume (LVEDV), left ventricular end-systolic volume (LVESV), and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of the two groups were compared, and the correlation of parameters of three dimensional left ventricular global longitudinal strain (GLS), global circumferential strain (GCS), global radial strain (GRS), global area strain (GAS), and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) with each parameter was analyzed. Results IVSd and LVPWd in the study group were higher than those of the control group (t=3.30 and 3.64, P<0.05). Compared with the control group, GLS, GCS, GRS and GAS of left ventricular of SHT patients in the study group were significantly lower (t=8.60, 11.95, 9.78 and 5.92, P<0.05) before treatment. GLS, GCS, GRS and GAS of SHT patients improved after L-thyroxine therapy, and the difference was statistically significant (t=6.91, 9.41, 6.46 and 4.31, P<0.05).TSH level was negatively correlated with E/A ratio and E (r= - 0.39 and - 0.42, P<0.05), and also negatively correlated with GLS, GCS, GRS and GAS (r= - 0.38, - 0.56, - 0.33 and - 0.41, P<0.05). Conclusion Left ventricular global systolic function changes of SHT patients before and after L-thyroxine treatment can be evaluated properly using 3D-STI.

Methods Through capillary electrophoresis, the genotype of 26 Y-STR loci were analyzed in 53 unrelated m ale individuals from Fujian She nationality. The population genetics param eters such as allele frequency and haplotype diversity were calculated. The com parisons am ong the She nationality and the other nationalities were analyzed. Results A total of 126 alleles were observed on the 26 Y-STR loci of 53 unrelated m ale individuals. The allele frequencies and G D value ranged from 0.010 1 to 0.886 8 and 0.211 2 to 0.846 2, respectively. The G D value w as greater than 0.5 in the 19 loci. A total of 47 hap-lotypes were observed. B ased on RST, m ultidim ensional scaling plot indicated that the genetic relationship am ong Fujian She nationality and M innan H an nationality w as closest, follow ed by Southern C hina H an nationality and N orthern C hina nationality. Conclusion G oldeneyeTM D N A ID 26Y K it including 26 Y-STR loci has good polym orphism in the She nationality. A s an additional system , it has forensic appli-cation value in som e special cases.
