BACKGROUND:Developmental dislocation of the hip is a type of adult hip dysplasia, including Crowe III and IV type; the type of dislocation of the hip is a severe prognosis. Total hip replacement is clinicaly used for the complex reconstruction of acetabulum. For injured acetabulum, autologous bone graft is effective to reconstruct acetabulum structure, provides good coverage and stability for the acetabulum. Postoperative combination with effective exercise can ensure the recovery of acetabulum function. OBJECTIVE:To analyze the correlation of prosthesis position selection during total hip replacement with clinical short- and middle-term effects of Crowel III and Crowel IV hip dislocation. METHODS:Clinical data of 28 cases of dysplasia and dislocation of the hip joint combined with severe osteoarthritis, who were treated in the Department of Joint Surgery, the Second Affiliated Hospital, Inner Mongolia Medical University from December 2011 to December 2012, were retrospectively analyzed. Al patients received total hip replacement. Implant was biological artificial total hip joint prosthesis. During 2-year folow-up, patients were rechecked by imaging regularly to analyze the imaging changes of acetabulum prosthesis position and bone graft fusion. Harris hip score was used to assess the recovery of hip function. The correlation of prosthesis position and short- and middle-term effects was analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The filing rate of medulary cavity of prosthesis was above 75%. The initial position was fixed and stable. The stability rate of femur-prosthesis interface reached 100%. Compared with pre-replacement, hip function was significantly improved at 6 months post surgery (t=25.55, 9.07;P < 0.05). These results indicate that total hip replacement for Crowel III and Crowel IV hip dislocation can effectively reconstruct the acetabulum, recover hip function, and stabilize prosthesis. Total hip replacement is characterized by good filing rate, high stability of femoral prosthesis interface, and stable initial fixation. The clinical repair effect is strongly associated with the position of the prosthesis.

Objective To explore the levels of?-radiation emitted from ceramic floor boards saled in Tangshan.Methods The levels of?-radiation emitted from common ceramic floor boards,polished surface-ceramic floor board s and granular surfac-ceramic floor boards manufactured in A,B and C different provinces were determined.All sam ple s were collected from the build ing ma te rial markets in Tangshan.Results The levels of?-radiation emitted from ceram-ic floor boards were91.1,76.8,75.1nGy /h for those manufactured in A,B and C province respectively,and92.7,88.9,78.0nGy /h for granular sur face-ceramic floor boards,polished surface-ceramic floor boards and com mon ceramic floor boards respec tively.Con clu sion For the consumers,the first selection of the common ceramic floor boards to dec-orate the floor was recommended.

Objective To investigate the organic pollutants in the contaminated water irrigation area soil and to study the lipid peroxidation effect of the pollutants on mouse. Methods The organic pollutants of the polluted irrigation soil and control soil were extracted using the supersonic oscillator. The ingredients of the organic pollutants were measured by the GC-MS spectrum. The 40 sanitary Kunming mice were randomly divided into five groups: the dimethylsulfoxide control group,low dose group of control soil,high dose group of control soil,low dose group of polluted soil,high dose group of polluted soil. The administered doses of the low and high dose groups were 25.5 g dry soil/kg body weight per day by oral for two weeks. The activities of T-SOD,GSH-Px and the content of MDA in serum of mice were determined. Results Phenanthrene,yrene,diphenyl,fluorene,naphthalene,dimethyl-naphthalene,2,3,6-trimethyl-naphthalene,anthracene,dimethyl-anthracene,1,4-dimethyl-anthracene,fluoranthene,4-methyl-pyrene,dibenzothiophen,4-methyl-dibenzofuran,dibenzofuran,butylated-hydroxytoluene,dodecane,neopentyl-cyclohexane,trimethyl-heptane,1,2-dimethyl-cyclohexanimine,butethal were detected in the polluted irrigation soil and their levels were 14.3,2.1,1.3,1.1,0.8,1.3,0.4,2.9,7.2,2.3,9.1,0.2,0.4,1.4,1.7,0.37,0.9,0.11,0.02,0.02 and 0.13 mg/kg respectively in the polluted irrigation soil. Trimethyl-heptane,dimethyl-heptane and 1,2-dimethyl-cyclohexanimine were detected,and their levels were all 0.01 mg/kg in control soil. Compared with the solvent of dimethylsulfoxide group,the activities of T-SOD and GSH-Px of the high dose group of control soil and two dose groups of polluted soil all decreased,the differences were all significant(P0.05). Conclusion The soil has been contaminated with organic pollutants in the investigated area and the soil extract may produce a certain effect on lipid peroxidation in mice.

OBJECTIVE:To determine the contents of Pb,Cd,Hg,As and Cu in Panax notoginseng,Angelica sinensis,Ligus-ticum chuanxiong,Fallopia multiflora and Rheum palmatum commercially available in Tangshan. METHODS:Microwave diges-tion-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS)and single factor index and Nemerow comprehensive index were used to evaluate the heavy metal pollution in TCM powder samples;and the heavy metal limiting values in Green Trade Standards of Im-porting & Exporting Medical Plants & Prescriptions were used to evaluate the pollution of heavy metal samples. RESULTS:In the samples in 12 batches of 5 TCM powders,there were 2 heavy metal exceeded samples (P. notoginseng-3 and L. chuanxiong-2), the exceeded rate was 16.7%,exceeded indexes were Cd and Hg with the exceeded rates of 16.7% and 8.3%,respectively;heavy metals with Single factor index greater than 1 were Hg and Cd in P. notoginseng-3,and Cd in L. chuanxiong-2 with the composite indexes of 1.06 and 0.81,and pollution levels were slightly polluted and reaching warning level,respectively. CONCLUSIONS:Certain heavy metal pollution is found in TCM powder commercially available in Tangshan. Therefore,it is necessary to carry out more strictly control over the heavy metal content in Chinese herbal medicines.

Objective To study the effect of three-dimensional (3D) animation on preoperative anxiety in patients with lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Methods One hundred and eighty-four LDH patients were randomly divided into experiment and control group in equal number. The control group was educated in traditional method and the experiment group in the form of 3D animation. The self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) was used for the assessment 2 h after admission into the hospital and 1d before operation. Results After the intervention, the score by SAS in the observation group was significantly lower than that before the intervention and control groups (P<0.001). The score by SAS in the control group was significantly lower than that of the control group and that before intervention (P<0.001). Conclusion Health education by 3D animation can relieve preoperative anxiety in the patients with lumbar disc herniation.

ObjectiveTo examine the effects of temsirolimus, an inhibitor of mammalian target of rapamycin, on bladder cancer cell lines T24 and BIU-87 in vitro and in vivo for purpose of evaluating the probability of mTOR targeted therapy for bladder cancer.MethodsAfter being treated by a different concentration of temsirolimus, T24 and BIU-87 cells were tested by MTT assay for cell proliferation activity.Cell cycle and apoptosis analysis were performed with flow cytometer. Wound scratch assay was used for cell migration activity and transwell motility assay. Western blot analysis was used to test the mTOR phosphorylation. Subcutaneous inoculation of 6-week-old nude mice was performed using 1 × 106 T24 cells in 50％ matrigel for both control (n = 10) and temsirolimus (n = 10) groups. The volume of tumors was examined and then the expression of Ki-67 was detected by immunohistochemistry.ResultsTemsirolimus significantly inhibited proliferation of T24 and BIU-87 cells in a dose- and time-dependent manner. After administration of temsirolimus on T24 and BIU-87 cell lines for 24 h, the rate of wound healing in 0 nmol/L groups were (88.9 ± 14. 1 ) ％ and ( 83.6 ± 16.3)％ , which were higher than in the 5 nmol/L groups, which were (42.7 ± 11.6) ％ and ( 36.9 ± 9.7 ) ％ ( P ＜ 0.05 ). In the transwell motility assay, the number of cells in the 0 nmol/L group was 26.5 ± 5.8 and 28.2 ± 4.6, which was higher than in the 5 nmol/L group ( 19.0 ±3. 8 and 21.3 ± 5.1, respectively) (P ＜ 0. 05). When temsirolimus was administered on T24 and BIU-87 cell lines for 48 h the percentages of cells delayed in phase G0/G1 in 5 nmol/L group were ( 77.46 ±6.11)％ and (73. 39 ± 4. 94)％ respectively, and higher than in the 0 nmol/L group, which were (65.99 ±5.01 )％ 、(60.15 ±3.98)％ (P ＜0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the apoptosis rate between the two groups (P ＞ 0.05 ). In Western blot analysis, the ratios of p-mTOR/β-actin were 0.92 ±0.09 and 1.01 ± 0.08 in 0 nmol/L group, and higher than in the 5 nmol/L group (0.47 ±0.05、0.04 ±0. 01 ) (P ＜ 0.05 ). After administration of temsirolimus for 21 days, the tumor volume in nude mice in the control group were 351.1 ± 139.9 mm3 , which was larger than 351.1 ± 139.9 mm3 in the temsirolimus group ( P ＜ 0.05 ). The positive rate of Ki-67 expression was ( 67.3 ± 8.4 ) ％ in the control group, which was higher than in the temsirolimus group ( 35.5 ± 6.7 ) ％ ( P ＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionsThis study provides in vitro and in vivo evidence that temsirolimus may inhibit the viability of bladder cancer cells and temsirolimus could be exploited as a potential therapeutic strategy in bladder cancer.

Objective:To investigate the changes in plasma ET-1 and ANF in IDDM and its microvascular complication.Methods:The plasma levels of ET-1 and ANF were measured by radioimmunoassy in 31 patients with IDDM and 25 normal controls.Results:The plasma levels of ET-1 and ANF significantly increased in IDDM compared with the normal controls (P<0.01);and the levels were also markedly higher in diabetics with microangiopathy complications than in those withou the complications (P<0.01).The more kinds of microangiopathey complications,the higher level of the plasma ET-1 and ANF,which suggests that the elevation of plasma ET-1 and ANF may be concerned with the microangiopathy and ET-1 may reflect the degree of vascular endothelial cell damage.There were no significant correlation between plasma ET-1 or ANF and blood glucose,fructosamine and C-peptide,but the plasma levels of ET-1 and ANF both correlated with the duration of diabetes mellitus.And the plasma level of ET-1 positively correlated with ANF1 (P<0.01).Conclusion:The results of study suggest that ET-1 and ANF are both associated with the development,progress and severity of microvascular complications.

Objective To study the effect of early mechanical ventilation in treatment of patients with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods Fifty-two patients with SAP admitted in the First People's Hospital of Zhaoqing from January 2010 to January 2015 were randomly allocated into two groups (n =26),early mechanical ventilation group(observation group) and conventional mechanical ventilation group(control group).Patients in the observation group treated with early lung protective ventilation when PaO2 ＜ 13.3kPa.Patients in the control group treated without mechanical ventilation untill PaO2 ＜ 8kPa.The symptoms,the extent of inflammatory reaction,the severity of lung lesions and the mortality of two groups were compared through monitoring vital signs,abdominal circumference,APACHE Ⅱ score,bladder pressure,oxygenation index (PaO2/FiO2),C reactive protein (CRP),procalcitonin (PCT),hospital stay and mortality.Results No statistically significant differences in the APACHE Ⅱ score,bladder pressure,oxygenation index,CRP and PCT in two groups before treatment were observed(P ＞ 0.05).The APACHE Ⅱ score (12.8 ± 7.6) points,bladder pressure (14.9± 7.9) cmH2O,CRP (48.8 ± 30.1) rmg/L,PCT (1.25 ± 0.55) μg/L,mortality (3.84％) of the observation group after treatment were significantly lower than those of the control group (t =2.057,2.091,3.252,2.697,x2 =4.305,all P ＜ 0.05),while the oxygenation index in the observation group [(300.0 ± 34.9) mmHg] was significantly higher than that in the control group [(278.1 ± 32.8) mmHg],the difference of the two groups was statistically significant (t =3.322,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Early lung protective ventilation is safe and effective for treatment of the patients with SAP.

Objective To observe the effects of melatonin on synaptic plasticity impaired by spinal cord injury in rats. Methods A total of 54 female Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into sham group (n=18), control group (n=18) and melatonin group (n=18). Spinal cord inju-ry model was established with modified Allen's method at T10 (10 g from 25 mm height). The number of neurons and the expression of the Nissl body were detected with immunofluorescence and Nissl staining. The expression of neurofilament-200 (NF-200), brain-derived neuro-trophic factors (BDNF), Synapsin I and growth-associated protein-43 (GAP-43) was detected with Western blotting. Results Seven days af-ter injury, the number of motoneurons, the expression of Nissl body in motoneurons, and the expression of BDNF, Synapsin I and GAP-43 decreased in the control group compared with those in the sham group, and they increased in the melatonin group compared with those in the control group. Conclusion Melatonin can repair the impaired synaptic plasticity, which might promote the functional recovery after spi-nal cord injury.

Objective:To probe the therapeutic effects of Butylphthalide Injection in the elderly patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) and its influence in cerebral hemodynamics and cerebral vascular reserve (CVR),and to clarify the pharmacological action mechanism of butylphthalide in treatment of ACI.Methods:A total of 100 cases of elderly patients with ACI were selected as the subjects and divided into observation group and control group according to the serial number on admission.Fifty cases were included in each group.The patients in control group were treated with the conventional treatment, while the patients in observation group were treated with Butylphthalide Injection on the basis of the conventional treatment.The National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score, the brain hemodynamics indexes of the peak velocity (Vp), the mean velocity (Vm) and the differences of the velocity (DVp, DVm) as well as pulsatility index (PI), CVR of bilateral middle cerebral artery (MCA)of the patients in two groups were observed and compared.The therapeutic effects of the patients in two groups were evaluated and compared.Results:The NIHSS score of the patients in observation group after treatment was significantly lower than that in control group (t=15.420, P<0.05).The therapeutic effects and the clinical efficiency of the patients in observation group were significantly better than those in control group (U=2.225, χ2=5.005, P<0.05).The Vp and Vm of the patients in observation group after treatment were significantly higher than those in control group(t=10.819,t=7.259, P<0.05)and the DVp and DVm were significantly lower than those in control group (t=16.438,t=19.055, P<0.05).The CVR of the patients in observation group after treatment was significantly higher than that in control group(t=6.884, P<0.05)and the PI was significantly lower than that in control group (t=4.979, P<0.05).Conclusion:Butylphthalide Injection can effectively correct the abnormality of brain hemodynamics in the ACI patients, enhance the ability of body in maintaining the stability of cerebral vascular perfusion, improve the neurological symptoms in the patients with ACI, and improve the therapeutic effects.
