OBJECTIVE To learn the condition of nosocomial infection of lower respiratory tract,so as to take effective measures to prevent and control it. METHODS A total of 10351 inpatients of our hospital from Mar 2007 to Mar 2008 were monitored prospectively and investigated retrospectively. RESULTS Of 234 nosocomial infection events, the lower respiratory tract infection occupied 80 events which the infection rate was the highest (34.19%) and mainly happened in internal medicine (33.75%) and neurosurgery (25.0%) departments. The pathogenic bacteria of hospital infection were mainly G-bacteria (50.94%). CONCLUSIONS The primary affection should be actively treated with strictly aseptic manipulation, reasonable application of antibiotics and strengthening disinfection and management of wards. All the measures are effective,to prevent the lower respiratory tract infection.

Objective To investigate the value of prognosis of NT-proBNP in severe sepsis and septic shock patients .Methods 70 patients with sepsis admitted to our hospital were divided into general sepsis group (n=23) ,severe sepsis group(n=28) and sep-tic shock group(n=19) according to the severity of the disease ,the plasma NT-proBNP ,lactic acid ,C-reactive protein were meas-ured within 1 h after admission ,and calculated the 24 h acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ (APACHE Ⅱ) .Results (1) Plasma NT-proBNP concentration ,lactic acid ,CRP and APACHE Ⅱ score in severe sepsis group ,septic shock group was sig-nificantly higher than that of general sepsis group(P< 0 .05);Plasma NT-proBNP concentration ,CRP and APACHE Ⅱ score in septic shock group was significantly higher than severe sepsis group (P<0 .05) .(2)70 cases of patients with sepsis with 15 cases died and 55 cases survived .Plasma NT-proBNP concentration ,lactate ,CRP and APACHEⅡscore of death patients was significantly higher than the survival patients(P<0 .01) .(3) Plasma NT-proBNP concentration at the time of sepsis patients admitted to hospi-tal with positively correlated to APACHE Ⅱscores(r=0 .528 ,P<0 .01) .Conclusion The plasma NT-proBNP is closely related to the prognosis of patients with sepsis ,early detection of plasma concentration of NT-proBNP helps to evaluate the prognosis of pa-tients w ith sepsis .

Objective The experiment project was designed to explore the variation of NaI (Tl) gamma spectrometer channels with environmental temperature. 60Co and 152Eu were used to verify the reliability of the correction methods. Methods Two correction methods were applicated, which were curve fitting correction method and known measurement peak correction method. Results The experimental results showed that temperature changes had an effect on NaI (Tl) measured spectra peak. The relative peak will shift to the right at 5℃ by 9.6%, and to the left at 60℃ by 16%, with the reference temperature set at 25℃. The two methods are based on the channel change due to temperature changes, and they could effectively correct the temperature peak-drift. Conclusion In order to make the measured spectrum information accurate and reliable in field monitoring, it is suggested to monitor the environmental temperature so as to correct the measured data.
