Objective To explore rehabilitation effect of graphic interactive education in humanistic care in lung cancer patients underwent thoracic surgery. Methods Two groups were randomly formed based on a total of 95 lung cancer patients underwent open thoracic surgery from January 2016 to December 2016: normal group (47 people) and experimental group (48 people). The patients in normal group were treated with routine health method. The experimental group was cared with graphic interactive education, i.e. cares were applied based on humanistic thoughts. Results The average rehabilitation accuracy score of the patients in the experimental group (18.833 ± 2.999) was significantly higher than the one in the normal group (12.255 ± 3.247). The difference is statistical significant (t=10.261, P < 0.01). In the experimental group the patients were more satisfied and the compliance of upper limb during rehabilitation exercise was significantly higher. The difference comparing to the normal group was statistically significant (Z=-3.419,-6.232, P<0.01). Conclusions The rehabilitation effect of using interactive graphics in humanistic care is apparent. This method is recommended to be used as a highlight of special high qualified nursing service to improve patients′satisfaction.

Objective:To investigate the expression of antigens in Plasmodium yoelii sexual stage and transmission blocking effects of monoclonal antibodies(McAbs).Methods:Observing the effects of anti Pys25 McAb4 and anti Pys21 McAb10 on developmental course of parasites in mosquitoes by direct mosquito feeds on passively immunized P.yoelii infected mice and the expression of Pys21 and Pys25 from gametocytes to ookinetes in indicated culture times by IFA and Western blotting.Results:The transmission blocking activity of the anti Pys25 McAb4 was complete and more potent than that of the anti Pys21 McAb10.Both Pys25 and Pys21 were presented in whole developmental course from gametocytes to ookinetes.Furthermore,the expression of Pys25 appeared to be earlier than that of Pys21 on zygote surfact.Conclusion:Pys25 and Pys21 are target antigens of transmission blocking immunity and that anti Pys25 McAb4 has more significantly transmission blocking activity is related with the early stage expression of Pys25 on zygote surface.

Objective To investigate the genetic diversity of Plasmodium vivax transmission_blocking vaccine candidate antigen (TBV) Pvs25, with P.vivax isolates from Hubei and Zhejiang Provinces, and to compare the genetic polymorphism of Pvs25 with that from Bangladesh. MethodsThe parasite DNA used for the genetic polymorphism assay was obtained from dried filter paper blood spots. The genes were PCR amplified and the products were purified and sequenced directly. Results 45 complete new sequences were analyzed. Only 3 nucleotide changes were found that would result in amino acid substitutions in Pvs25 in comparison with the sequence from P.vivax Sal_I strain. The measurement of nucleotide diversity (?) was remarkably similar for the two populations, indicating that DNA sequences and deduced amino acid sequences were highly homologous among the geographically dispersed isolates or isolates from the same geographical region.Conclusion The results suggest that Pvs25 has limited antigenic polymorphism, especially compared with candidate antigens expressed by hepatic and erythrocytic stage, which may support the development and application of Pvs25_based transmission_blocking vaccine in China.

Objective To investigate the effects of penehyclidine hydrochloride on blood-brain barrier in a rat model of cardiopulmonary bypass ( CPB) . Methods Sixty adult male SD rats, aged 4-6 months, weighing 320- 370 g, were randomly divided into 5 groups ( n = 12 each) : sham operation group (group S), CPB group, and low-, median- and high-dose penehyclidine hydrochloride groups (groups LP, MP and HP). The animals were anesthetized with intraperitoneal 10% chloral hydrate 350 mg/kg, intubated and mechanically ventilated. The femoral and jugular arteries and jugular vein were cannulated. CPB was performed for 60 min. Penehyclidine hydrochloride 0.2, 0.6 and 2.0 mg/kg were added to the priming solution in groups LP, MP and HP respectively, while the equal volume of normal saline was added in group CPB. Evans blue was injected via femoral vein at 1 h before the animals were sacrificed. Six rats in each group were sacrificed, their brains immediately removed and the hippocampi isolated for determination of Evans blue content. The other rats were sacrificed and the hippocampi isolated to determine the water content and observe the ultrastructure of blood-brain barrier. Results Compared with group S, the Evans blue content and water content were significantly increased in the other groups ( P ＜ 0.05) . Compared with groups CPB and LP, the Evans blue content and water content were significantly decreased in groups MP and HP ( P ＜ 0.05) . The Evans blue content was significantly lower in group HP than in group MP ( P ＜ 0.05). The CPB-induced changes were significantly attenuated in groups MP and HP compared with groups CPB and LP. Conclusion Penehyclidine hydrochloride can protect blood-brain barrier against the CPB-induced injury and the effect is related to the dose.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of penehyclidine hydrochloride on acute lung injury induced by cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in rats.MethodsForty adult male SD rats aged 4-6 months weighing 330-420 g were randomly divided into4 groups ( n =10 each): sham operation group (group S),acute lung injury group (group ALI) and low and high dose of penehyclidine hydrochloride groups (groups PL and PH ).Penehyclidine hydrochloride 0.6 and 2.0 mg/kg were added to the priming solution in groups PL and PH,while the equal volume of normal saline was added in group ALI instead.The rats of groups ALI,PL and PH were underwent 1 h of CPB.Arterial blood samples were collected before CPB and at 2 h after CPB for blood gas analysis.The superior vera cava blood samples and lung tissues were collected at 2 h after CPB for determination of concentrations of TNF-α and IL-6,lung tissue contents of water and malondialdehyde (MDA) and activity of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-px).The pathological change of lung tissue was also examined.ResultsCompared with group S,PaO2 was significantly decreased at 2 h after CPB,plasma concentrations of TNF-α and IL-6 and contents of water and MDA in lung tissues were increased,while activity of GSH-px in lung tissues was decreased in groups ALI,PL and PH ( R ＜ 0.05).Compared with group ALI,PaO2 was significantly increased at 2 h after CPB,plasma concentrations of TNF-α and IL-6 and contents of water and MDA in lung tissues were decreased,activity of GSH-px in lung tissues was increased (P ＜ 0.05),and the pathological change was reduced in groups PL and PH.Compared with group PL,PaO2 was significantly increased at 2 h after CPB,plasma concentrations of TNF-α and IL-6 and contents of water and MDA in lung tissues were decreased,activity of GSH-px in lung tissues was increased ( P ＜0.05),and the pathological change was reduced more obviously in group PH.ConclusionPenehyclidine hydrochloride 0.6 or 2.0 mg/kg can reduce the CPB-induced lung injury in a dose-dependent manner by antioxidant and anti-inflammatory mechanism in rats.

Objective To investigate the effect of probiotics preconditioning on intestinal mucosal barrier function in a rat model of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) . Methods Twenty-four adult male SD rats weighing 350-450 g were randomly divided into 3 groups ( n = 8 each) : group Ⅰ sham operation ( group S); group Ⅱ CPB and group Ⅲ probiotics + CPB. CPB was established between left carotid artery and right jugular vein and maintained for 60 min. Croup Ⅲ received intragastric instillation of probiotics 2 ml once a day for 7 consecutive days before CPB. Blood samples were collected at 2 h after CPB was terminated for determination of plasma D-lactate, TNF-and IL-6 concentrations and diamine oxidase (DAO) activity. Venous blood was obtained from portal vein for determination of LPS concentration and cultured. Liver, pancreas, spleen, kidney and mesenteric lymphnode (MLN) specimens were obtained under sterile condition and cultured for bacterial growth. The mucous membrane of small intestine was examined with electron microscope. Results CPB significantly increased plasma DAO activity, and D-lactate, IPS, TNF-α and IL-6 concentrations and the rate of bacteria-positive culture of portal venous blood, liver, MLN, lung and kidney in group Ⅱ as compared with group S. Probiotics preconditioning significantly attenuated the above-mentioned CPB-induced changes. Microscopic examination showed that probiotics preconditioning significantly ameliorated CPB-induced damage to the epithelium of the small intestine. Conclusion Probiotics preconditioning can significantly attenuate CPB-induced inflammatory response and protect the intestinal mucosal barrier function.

Objective To investigate the effect of penehyclidine hydrochloride on brain injury induced by cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in rats. Methods Thirty adult male SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups ( n = 6 each): sham operation group (group S), CPB group, and low, median and high dose penehyclidine hydrochloride groups (group PL, PM , PH). Penehyclidine hydrochloride 0.2, 0.6 and 2.0 mg/kg were added to the priming solution in group PL, PM and PH respectively, while the equal volume of normal saline was added instead in group S. Blood samples were obtained at 2 h after termination of CPB to determine the plasma concentrations of neuron specific enolase (NSE) and S-100β protein. The brain tissues were taken to observe the ultrastructure of hippocampal neurons with electron microscope. Results The concentrations of NSE and S-100β protein were significantly higher in the other groups than in group S, while lower in group PM and PH than in group CPB and PL( P＜ 0.05). The S-100β protein concentration was significantly lower in group PH than in group PM( P ＜ 0.05). The damage to hippocampal neurons was significantly attenuated in group PM and Ps. Conclusion Penehyclidine hydrochloride 0.6 or 2.0 mg/kg can reduce the CPB-induced brain injury in a dose-dependent manner in rats.

BACKGROUND:In previous experiments, TiO2-xNy OBJECTIVE:To study the friction properties of orthodontic brackets coated with TiO-coated bracket has been confirmed to have excelent antibacterial properties and biological safety performance. 2-xNy METHODS: TiO film. 2-xNy film was prepared by radiofrequency magnetron sputtering on MBT bracket (0.022″). The TiO 2-x N y RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: TiO-coated brackets were analyzed by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy observations. The coefficient of static friction and coefficient of kinetic friction between the wires (0.012″, 0.014″, 0.016″) and orthodontic brackets were calculated. 2-xNy film on the bracket was of anatase structure, which was compact and had good crystalinity. Under dry condition, the coefficient of static friction and kinetic friction of the brackets coated with TiO2-xNy were less than those of ordinary brackets; under wet condition, the coefficients of static friction and kinetic friction of the brackets coated with TiO2-xNy were less than those of ordinary brackets, but the difference was not statisticaly significant. Nano-TiO2-xNy film can reduce the friction between bracket and archwire, which wil offer a novel opportunity to significantly reduce the friction during tooth movement.

Objective To investigate the effects of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) on the expression of tight junction protein occludin in rat lung tissues.Methods Twenty adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 2 groups (n=10 each): sham operation group (group S) and CPBgroup.The rats underwent 1 h of CPB and were observed 2 h later in group CPB.The lung water content,neutrophil percentage and protein concentration in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were measured.The expression of occludin in lung tissues was detected by immunohistochemistry and Western-blot analysis.The ultrastructure of alveolar epithelial barrier was observed with transmission electron microscope.Results Compared with group S,the lung water content,protein concentration in BALF and neutrophil percentage were significantly increased (P ＜ 0.05),the expression of occludin in lung tissues was significantly down-regulated (P ＜ 0.05) and the damage to alveolar epithelial barrier was aggravated in group CPB.Conclusion The expression of occludin in lung tissues is down-regulated and the damage to alveolar epithelial barrier is induced after CPB,which may be one of the important factors in acute lung injury induced by CPB.
