Objective:To investigate the variations in infrared radiation at Taichong(LR3),Taixi(KI3),and control points before and after menstruation and to examine the infrared radiation patterns associated with Yuan-primordial points of Zang-Fu organs during the physiological menstrual cycle. Methods:Using a point infrared radiation spectrum detection system,we detected the infrared radiation spectra of Taichong(LR3),Taixi(KI3),and the control points located 1 cm away from the two points,in a range of 1.50-18.00 μm wavelengths during the premenstrual, menstrual, and postmenstrual phases in 32 healthy adult women.Subsequently, data mining and analysis were conducted. Results:Before, during, and after menstruation, the infrared spectral shapes of bilateral Taichong(LR3),Taixi(KI3),and their control points were generally consistent, with characteristic infrared spectral wavelengths located at 11.25 μm.Prior to menstruation, the total intensity of infrared radiation at the right Taixi(KI3)was significantly lower than that at the control point(P<0.05),and that at the left Taichong(LR3)was significantly lower than that at the control point(P<0.01).During and after menstruation, the total infrared radiation intensity at both Taixi(KI3)was significantly lower than that of the control point(P<0.05).The wavelength points exhibiting significant differences in the infrared radiation intensity between points and control points were concentrated at the primary peak of 7.50-14.25 μm and the secondary peak of 15.00-17.25 μm. Conclusion:During different menstrual phases, the infrared radiation spectra of Taichong(LR3)and Taixi(KI3)exhibited distinct point specificity, mainly evident in the infrared radiation intensity and wavelength.

China Modern Doctor 2014;(29):51-53
Objective To explore the role of multi-slice spiral CT scan faces in identifying paraspinal tumors. Methods A retrospective analysis of 33 patients admitted to our hospital who had paraspinal tumor. It had been confirmed that neurogenic tumors in 30 cases, 2 cases of solitary fibrous tumors and 1 case of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma postoperative pathological. Results Compared with the patient's routine preoperative CT image and enhanced CT perfusion images, it can be found benign manifestations can be found 29 cases, including 17 cases of schwannoma in all neurogenic tumors, eight cases of neurofibroma, four cases of ganglion cell tumors. Conventional CT appear as round or oval soft tissue, muscle tissue density slightly lower shadow, and individual patients were seen scattered in the necrotic area, which may form calcification. There was one case of malignant manifestations, schwannoma. It was visible on conventional CT imaging soft tissue density uneven erosion caused by vertebral bone destruction. Patients after partial perfusion CT scan, the results showed a circular, uniform, non-uniform, non-reinforced, strengthened and many other types of separate samples. Conclusion Neurogenic tumors is a primary part in paraspinal tumors. It is of great significance to make sure posterior mediastinal neurogenic tumors of various CT and contrast-enhanced CT image characteristics for the identifi-cation of the clinical side mediastinal mass in the spine.

Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2014;17(2):139-144
OBJECTIVETo investigate changes in clinicopathological features and survival of patients with gastrectomy at a single institution in China.
METHODSFrom January 1990 to December 2009, clinicopathological data of 2518 cases of gastric cancer patients who underwent surgical resection in the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center were analyzed retrospectively. The overall survival rate was determined using Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test was used to determine significance. The prognosis was analyzed using univariate analysis and multivariate analysis by Cox proportional hazards model. Clinical features, pathological findings and survival differences were compared in this cohort between two consecutive periods(1990-1999 and 2000-2009).
RESULTSThe 5-year survival rates for the whole cohort and those undergoing radical resection was 48.1% and 53.7%, respectively. In the first period, the 5-year survival rate for the whole cohort and for patients undergoing radical resection was 40.1% and 45.7%. In the second period, the 5-year survival rates for whole cohort and for patients undergoing radical resection was 51.5% and 57.1%, respectively. For those who underwent radical resection, the mean number of lymph node dissection was significantly higher in the recent period (20.1±8.3 vs. 9.5±6.0, P<0.01). On multivariate analysis by means of the Cox proportional hazard model, age, location, tumor size, histological type, radical resection, lymphatic/venous invasion, depth of invasion, nodal status, number of retrieved lymph nodes, and treatment period were independent factors (P<0.05). The constitution, number of retrieved lymph nodes, and survival rate were all improved between the two intervals (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe overall survival rate has gradually increased in gastric cancer patients over the past 20 years.
