1.Research progress of changes in thyroid function in short stature children both before and after therapy
Chinese Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2016;31(20):1595-1597
Short stature refers to the individual of the same race, gender and age, whose height is lower than the average height for about 2 standard deviations or under the 3rd percentile in the similar living environment. Its etiology mainly includes growth hormone deficiency, hypothyroidism, idiopathic short stature,Turner syndrome and so on.Short stature can be treated in childhood with recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH).Clinical evidence suggests that doctors should pay attention to thyroid hormone levels before and after rhGH therapy,so that they can offer thyroxine timely and maintain normal thyroid function for the children with hypothyroidism, which can improve the efficacy of rhGH in children with short stature.

Ophthalmology in China 2009;18(4):254-256
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of retrobulbar injection with triamcinolone acetonide (TA) for macular edema caused by retinal vein occlusion (RVO). Design Retrospective case series. Participants 21 eyes of 21 patients with macular edema caused by RVO. Methods Retrobulbar injection with TA 40 mg was performed on 21 eyes. The visual acuity, intraocular pres-sure, fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) and macular central thickness under the optical coherence tomography (OCT) were recorded and analyzed before and after treatment. The follow-up duration was 6-11 months. Main Outcome Measures The visual acuity and the macular central thickness of OCT. Result Visual acuity was improved at the end of follow-up in 16 eyes (76.2%) and unchanged in 5 eyes (23.8%). Macular central thickness was (287.55±121.70) μm at the end of follow-up and (617.23±185.58) μm before treatment. The difference was statistically significant(P=0.000). After treatment, the comparison of visual acuity and macular central thickness be-tween CRVO patients and BRVO patients, as well as between ischemic RVO patients and non-ischemic RVO patients had no significant difference (P>0.05). In patients of course less than 6 months, the visual prognosis after treatment is better than that of before treatment (P=0.011, 0.01), while in patients of course more than 6 months, no difference of vision could be detected before and after treatment (P= 0.583). The result of FFA showed decrease of fluorescein leakage. During follow-up, intraocular pressure of all patients was in the nor-real range. Recurrence of macular edema was found in 8 eyes 2 to 6 months after treatment. Conclusions Retrobulbar injection with TA is a safe, effective, and easy method to treat macular edema caused by RVO. Early treatment can get better efficacy. (Ophthalmal CHN, 2009, 18: 254-256)

Objective To evaluate the epidemic status of main non-communicable chronic diseases among the residents of Jingan district in Shanghai. Methods Multistage cluster sampling was adopted.960 residents were investigated with questionnaire and physical examination. Results The prevalence rates of Hypertension, diabetes mellitus,Cerebral vessels and Heart-blood were 25.6%,5.8%,3.1%and 5.7%,respectively.The multivarate logistic regression analysis showed that the related risk factors to four non-communicable chronic diseases included family history, the OR(95%CI)1.6(1.2~2.3),6.9 (3.5~13.6),4.5(2.0~10.0),2.2(1.2~4.0)separately.Conclusion Hypertension, diabetes are the main non-communicable disease hazarding the public health. The government and professional institutes should raise the attention on this serious problem and finance more as well as supplying policy support.

OBJECTIVE:To compare the percutaneous absorbency between imported and domestic5%doxepin cream.METHODS:In a cross design,8health male volunteers were enrolled in the study.Determination was performed by HPLC with chlorimipramine as internal standard.RESULTS:The same dose of domestic and imported doxepin cream was topically applied to the forearm skin of the volunteers for8consecutive days. The blood drug levels were very low in both groups without significant difference.CONCLUSION:The percutaneous absorbency of domestic5%doxepin cream can reach that of imported ones and the domestic cream is safe and effective.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2007;27(4):403-6
Survivin, a newly identified member of IAP family, is a powerful apoptosis-inhibiting factor. It is expressed in embryonic tissues as well as in the majority of human cancers, but not in most normal adult tissues. The cancer-specific expression of survivin makes it a potential target for cancer treatment. A survivin-specific small inhibitory RNA (siRNA) was introduced into hepatocellular carcinoma cells to investigate its effect on cancer cell apoptosis, growth and sensitivity to chemotherapeutic drugs. It was found that expressions of survivin protein and proliferation index (PI) in siRNA groups were significantly decreased, the apoptosis index (AI) of siRNA groups was significantly higher than those of others groups, and the growth inhibition rate (GIR) of chemotherapeutic drugs in siRNA groups were significantly higher than those of other groups. Our study suggests that the expression of survivin may be significantly decreased in hepG2 cell after siRNA transfection. siRNA targeting survivin could induce cell apoptosis, inhibit cell proliferation and sensitize hepatocarcinoma cells to chemotherapy. Our findings provide preliminary evidence for the therapeutic use of survivin-targeted RNA interference for human tumors that express high levels of this molecule.

Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(06):-
Objective To analyze the immunization failure factors of 18 exposed rabies. Methods A statistical analysis factors is based on processing the exposed local wounds, the application of anti-serum, vaccines, wound area, incubation period, and compared to immune cases. Results Eighteen people, exposed immunization failure cases, scattered in the rural area(town). Thire age distribution is in all age groups during 2~83 years old and sex ratio of the men and women is 1:0.8.The short incubation period(28 days) accountered for 77.8%(14/18);Among by 61.5% people was bitten in neck accounter for 91.7%(10/12);Nine cases went to the village and town hospital to deal with the wound ,but only one case used rabies virus serums. Vaccines made in China are rat kidney(five cases) and refined Vero(8 cases), at the sane time the other five types made in China were unkown. Conclusions The most effective way to reduce the incidence of short incubation period is to strengthen management and immunization of animals such as dog, and to apply exposed former immunization in the epidemic area. At the same time, the key to reduce exposed immunization failure is exposed dealing in right ways, the muscle injection with anti-virus serums or immune globulin, and application of vaccine.

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(09):-
Objective To understand the water quality of centralized water supply in Shanghai and provide the scientific data for further improvement of the health inspection and management of centralized water supply. Methods The management situation of centralized water supply, the water quality of water source, product water and tap water were investigated by using the methods in Analytical Methods for Water and Sanitary Standard for Drinking Water Quality (2001) in Shanghai in 2006. Results The current situation of management of 165 units of centralized water supply including 19 self-supply water plants in Shanghai was satisfactory. The analysis of drinking water showed that COD and total coliform in source water exceeded the standard limit remarkably(the eligible rates were 63.93% and 22.95% respectively), the eligible rates of COD, turbidity and manganese in product water and tap water were 25.45%, 18.18%, 27.88% and 18.06%, 13.89%, 11.81% respectively. Conclusion The results of the present investigation show that in Shanghai the main problems about the water quality are water source contamination by organic pollutants and the undeveloped water treatment.
