4.Determination of Entrapment Efficiency of Loratadine Binary Ethosomes by Sephadex Microcolumn Com-bined with HPLC
China Pharmacist 2015;(2):244-246
Objective:To establish a method to determine the entrapment efficiency of loratadine binary ethosomes. Methods:The gel microcolumn centrifugation method was employed to separate the free drug from loratadine binary ethosomes. The content of lorata-dine was determined by HPLC to calculate the entrapment efficiency. Results: A calibration linear curve of loratadine concentration was within the range of 10. 2-102. 0 μg·ml-1(r=0. 999 5). The average entrapment efficiencies of three batches of loratadine binary ethosomes were 86. 75%, 87. 26% and 86. 00%, respectively. Conclusion:The method is simple and rapid, and can be used to de-termine the entrapment efficiency of loratadine binary ethosomes accurately.

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(07):-
Objective To observe the anti-androgenic activity of two pyrethroids (cypermethrin and fenpropathrin) in vivo. Methods SD rats aged 6 weeks were castrated ,and then housed for one week. The rats were randomly divided into groups, six in each: negative control group, cypermethrin and fenpropathrin group, positive control group. The rats were subcutaneously injected with testosterone propionate (TP) 100 ?g(/kg?d)for 7 consecutive days. Peanut oil, cypermethrin [ 45, 90, 180 mg/(kg?d)], fenpropathrin[10, 20, 40 mg/ (kg?d) ], flutamide[ 20 mg(/kg?d) ] were subcutaneously injected for 7 consecutive days at the same time. The sex accessory glands and serum hormone were detected. Results Compared with the negative group, no significant differences were observed in the sex accessory glands/tissues (seminal vesicles with coagulating glands, dorsolateral prostate, the ventral prostate and levator ani muscles) and the levels of serum hormones of the pyrethroids groups. Compared with the negative group, the masses of all the sex accessory glands/tissues decreased significantly in the positive group . Compared with the negative group, the level of LH increased significantly in the positive group. Conclusion No obvious anti-androgenic effects induced by cypermethrin and fenpropathrin in castrated SD rats has been observed.
6.Clinical application of incentive spirometry in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease after thora-cotomy
Journal of Regional Anatomy and Operative Surgery 2015;(1):45-47
Objective To discuss the feasibility on reducing the postoperative pulmonary complications ( PPC) incidence after thoracot-omy on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) though application of incentive spirometry ( IS) . Methods 62 patients with COPD concurrent thoracotomy were divided into control group and observation group, the control group was given routine nebulization, expectoration and other physical treatment;the observation group were given IS besides the conventional treatment. The incidence of PPC,prognosis, and the changes on pulmonary function were compared between these two groups. Results The incidence of PPC and mortality of observation group were significantly lower than those of control group, and the inspiratory capacity( IC) from 3~5 days was significantly higher than that of con-trol group. Conclusion Application of IS can reduce the PPC incidence after thoracotomy on COPD patients, and promote the recovery of pulmonary function.
7.Physiological and Biochemical Changes During Embryo After-Ripening of American Ginseng(Panax quinquefolius)and Effect of Hormones on Such Changes

Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(04):-
In natural condition, two years were needed for Panax quinquefolius seeds to break dormancy. In the first year, the embryo developed slowly, and the activities of amylase and peroxidase were low. In the second year the embryo developed rapidly, and the activities of both enzymes also increased gradually. But with the treatment of hormones enzymatic activ ities accelarated remarkably and speeded up the decomposition of stored nutrients in endos perm, so that starch and non-reducing sugar decreased while reducing sugar incrcased rapidly, resulting in earlier germination.

AIM: To investigate therapeutic effects of combination therapy for neovascular glaucoma ( NVG) .
METHODS: This retrospective study comprised 34 eyes of 34 patients who suffered from NVG. All patients were assigned to group A, B, C and D according to the different combination therapies. Group A ( 11 eyes of 11 patients ) was treated with intravitreal injection of ranibizumab and panretinal photocoagulation ( PRP ) . Group B ( 10 eyes of 10 patients ) was treated with transcleral cyclophotocoagulation and PRP. Group C ( 6 eyes of 6 patients) was treated with 3 therapies together. Group D (7 eyes of 7 patients) was treated with 810nm transcleral cyclophotocoagulation and soft gas-permeable contact lenses. All the patients were followed-up for 1a. The best- corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ) , intraocular pressure ( IOP ) were recorded and analyzed prior to operation and 1, 4wk, 6 and 12mo after operation.
RESULTS: All the post treatment IOP decreased significantly ( P<0. 05 ) from the values before therapy, and the IOP values after 4wk, 6, 12mo were not significantly different ( P > 0. 05 ) in statistics. Most patients' IOP can be controlled below 23mmHg after combination therapy. The visual acuity in group A after 1, 4wk, 6mo compared with those before treatment was significantly increased ( P<0. 05 ) in statistics and other groups did not significantly change before and after treatment (P>0. 05). Anterior chamber bleeding occurred to 2 cases after 1wk of transcleral cyclophotocoagulation. No other ocular or systemic adverse events were found during the follow-up duration.
CONCLUSION: After the combination of intraocular injection of the anti - VEGF drugs, 810nm laser cyclophotocoagulation and PRP, most patients with NVG disease can be effectively treated, can effectively control IOP, and retain part of the visual function, significantly improve the quality of life. In the short - term, combination therapy is safe and effective for NVG, which provides us an available strategy to conquer NVG by simply programmable operation and less suffering.
