As an indispensable part of minority traditional medicine, mineral medicine has used with less dosage and reliable efficacy for the last thousand years. Based on the unearthed relics and medical literatures of past dynasties, the history of Han nationality ap- years, which had been recorded in main literature. But there is less comprehensive report of its usage in the other 55-minority nationality. This article was based on the analysis of ethnic minority literature of thousands of years, and conducted a comprehensive collation and analysis of mineral medicine. It was mostly determined that there was 20 minority groups using mineral medicine, with a total of 163 species (limited our references), and the most used is the Tibetan, accounting for 141. The most serious problems of mineral medicine are that species should be further investigated and researched, and then become the legal commercial medicine, and the classification principles of mineral medicine should be established. Through the traditional processing and experimental studies, the problems of attenuation and detoxification should be solved.

This paper investigated contamination situation of Listeria monocytogenes(Lm). To compare dif- ferent selectivity enrichment broth for detectable effect of Lm and compare detectable effect in different samples by using different methods, furthermore, choose the best enrichment broth for specific food. One hundred and thirty five random samples from raw meat, aquatic product, fruit and vegetable, quick-frozen food in Baoding. Applied LB enrichment broth, EB enrichment broth, new modification FDA enrichment broth and Fraser enrichment broth before separated by PALCAM selective agar, then identified by interna- tional standard method after PCR. Results: Four methods showed that there were 23 Lm positive, detected 5 Lm by LB method, 6 Lm by Fraser method, 5 Lm by EB method and 7 Lm by new modification FDA method. The total detectable rate of four methods had no large specificity, but to specific kind of food was different.

Objective To evaluate the accuracy of the Helicobacter pylori stool antigen (HpSA) test for detection of Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection before and after treatment in children.Methods stool specimens were collected from 62 consecutive patients (4-17 years) who received 13 C-urea breath test( 13C-UBT) and/or gastroscopy for gastrointestinal symptom and 31 patients after radical cure of Hp who received 13 C-UBT within 2 days.The evaluation of Hp status was defined as positive when 13 C-UBT were positive and gastroscopic biopsy were positive.Results The sensitivity of HpSA test for the diagnosis of Hp using a cutoff value of 0.121 was 92.30% and its specificity and accuracy was 91.30% and 91.94%,respectively.sensitivity was 83.33% and its specificity was 88.00% and accuracy was 87.10% after radical cure of Hp.Conclusions The precision ratio of HpSA test is higher to diagnose Hp infection before the radical cure in children.Sensitivity and specificity after the radical cure are lower than before.

Objective To analyze the distribution of human papillomavirus (HPV) genotype in the diseases associated with HPV infection and explore the role of HPV genotype in these diseases. Methods Retrospective analysis was carried out to compare HPV genotypes of 353 outpatients suffering the diseases associated with HPV infection including cervical caner,cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN),genital duc condyloma,and subclinical cervical human papillomavirus infection (SPI) in our department from January to October 2008. HybriMax were used to detect HPV genotype. The distribution data of HPV genotype were statistically analyzed. Results Totally 176 HPV positive females were found with a positive rate of 49.86%. HPV positive rate in cervical cancer was 100%,and all of them were high risk HPV. ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to investigate whether oral administration of collagen Ⅱ peptide (250-270)[C Ⅱ (250-270)]-cholera toxin B subunit (CTB)complex could effectively set up oral immune tolerance to collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) in mice. MethodsDBA/1 mice were divided into Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳgroups. Group Ⅰ was normal control group. Collagen type Ⅱ emulsified in Freund's complete adjuvant were injected to mice of groups Ⅱ , Ⅲ and Ⅳ twice from the base of the tail. Mice of group Ⅲ were fed with C Ⅱ (250-270)-CTB covalent complex twice after the arthritis was developed. Mice of group Ⅳ were fed with C Ⅱ(250-270) and CTB mix at the 14th day after primary immunization. Visual scores and histopathologic scores of arthritis were recorded. The frequencies of arthritis between the groups were compared usingFisher's exact test. The clinical and histological severity of arthritis were analyzed by ANOVA.Results The frequencies of arthritis in groups Ⅰ , Ⅱ , Ⅲ and Ⅳ were 0, 100％, 100％ and 25％ respectively. Average accumulative scores of arthritis were 0, 5.0±1.7, 10.8±2.8 and 1.0±2.0 respectively. Average accum-ulative histopathological scores of arthritis were 0, 16±8, 32±13 and 7±6 respectively. Conclusion Oral administration of C Ⅱ (250-270) and CTB mix in arthritis mice after C Ⅱ immunization can suppress the onset and severity of arthritis. Oral administration of C Ⅱ (250-270)-CTB covalent complex in the acute stage of arthritis can accelerate arthritis.

To explore the feasibility of stable expression of Hantavirus H8205 strain G1 segment and human IL-2 fusion gene in Vero cells, and to examine the immune protection effects on mice vaccinated with this recombinant eukaryotic expression vector containing Hantavirus G1 gene and IL-2 gene. With the help of lipofectamine, the Vero cells were transfected with pcDNA3.1/HisB-IL-2-G1 and the positive cells were selected by G418. IFAT and SDS-PAGE electrophoresis were used to determine the stable transfection and expression of recombinant protein. Each mouse was inoculated with plasmids intramuscularly (i.m.) three times, 2 boosts were given at 2-week intervals, serum anti-hantavirus antibodies were detected by ELISA and neutralizing antibodies (NAb) were detected by Plaque Reduction Neutralization Test. The fusion protein expressed in Vero cells was 78 kD, corresponding to the estimated molecular size. The neutralizing antibody titers of mice with pcDNA3.1/HisB-IL-2-G1 were 1:20-1:80. IL-2/G1 fusion gene could be transferred in Vero cells and stably express the fusion protein. Specific humeral immune responses in mice can be induced with the recombinant eukaryotic expression vector containing the fusion gene, which lays the foundation for further development of therapeutic HTNV vaccine.

The protoplasts of original Aspergillus niger strain Uco-3 were treated with the cooperation of UV and ?-ray to obtain the high-yielding strain producing the thermostable ?-galactosidase. Under the optimum conditions of formation and regeneration protoplasts were prepared. According to the interaction of positive mutation rate and radiation dose,the optimum condition was determined. The optimum dose of UV was 4 minutes and the optimum dose of ?-ray was 500 Gy. After mutagenetic treatment of protoplasts and selection from a lot of mutants,a mutant DL116 producing the thermostable ?-galactosidase was obtained. The ?-galactosidase activity of DL116 was increased from 16.27 U/mL to 44.37 U/mL,which was higher than that of strain Uco-3.

Hemagglutinin and neuraminidase, two important glycoproteins on the surface of influenza virus, play a considerable role in the entry and release stage of the viral life cycle, respectively. With in-depth investigation of influenza virus glycoproteins and the continuous innovation of drug discovery strategies, a new generation of glycoproteins inhibitors have been continuously discovered. From the point of view of medicinal chemistry, this review summarizes the current advances in seeking small-molecule inhibitors targeting influenza virus glycoproteins, hoping to provide valuable guidance for future development of novel antiviral drugs.

Objective To study the function of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in type 2 diabetes model rats and its effect on focal cerebral ischemia induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion in these rats. Methods Focal cerebral ischemia was induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion for 6 hours in type 2 diabetes rats and normal control rats.Blood vessels morphology was examined by ink perfusion,infarct size was measured by TTC and expression of VEGF and CD34 were evaluated by immunohistochemistry staining. Results Ink perfusion revealed increased number of small vessels in type 2 diabetes rats. Infarct size was significantly smaller in type 2 diabetes rats ( ( 80. 07 ± 11.21 ) mm3 ) than that in normal controls ((98. 91 ± 14. 86) mm3,t = 2.48,P = 0. 0326). There were more hemorrhage lesions in the ischemic hemisphere in type 2 diabetes rats when comparing with the controls. VEGF and CD34 showed significantly higher expression in type 2 diabetes rats than in normal controls. Conclusions High expression of VEGF and CD34 are found in type 2 diabetes rats after middle cerebral artery occlusion. There is cerebrolvascular remodeling in diabetes rats. While this diabetes-induced remodeling appears to prevent infarct expansion,the changes also increase the risk of hemorrhagic transformation. The latter may result in poor prognosis.
