In this paper, according to the requirement of the focused sound field measurement, a focused sound field measurement system was established based on the LabVIEW virtual instrument platform. The system can automatically search the focus position of the sound field, and adjust the scanning path according to the size of the focal region. Three-dimensional sound field scanning time reduced from 888 hours in uniform step to 9.25 hours in variable step. The efficiency of the focused sound field measurement was improved. There is a certain deviation between measurement results and theoretical calculation results. Focal plane--6 dB width difference rate was 3.691%, the beam axis--6 dB length differences rate was 12.937%.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effect of microwave sintering on the translucency of zirconia and to compare these effect with those of conventional sintering. The relationship between the microstructure of specimens and translucency was investigated.
METHODSA total of 10 disc-shaped specimens were fabricated from 2 commercial brands of zirconia, namely, Zenostar and Lava. Each group included 5 discs. Conventional sintering was performed according to the manufacturers' specifications. The maximum temperature for Zenostar was 1,490 °C, whereas that for Lava was 1,500 °C. The dwelling time was 2 h. The sintering temperature for microwave sintering was 1,420 °C, heating rate was 15 °C · min⁻¹, and dwelling time was 30 min. After sintering, the translucency parameter (TP) of the specimens were measured with ShadeEye NCC. The sintered density of the specimens was determined by Archimedes' method. The grain size and microstructure of the specimens were investigated by scanning electron microscopy.
RESULTSDensity and translucency slightly increased by microwave sintering, but no significant difference was found between microwave and conventional sintering (P > 0.05). Small and uniform microstructure were obtained from microwave sintering. The mean TP of Lava was significantly higher than that of Zenostar (P < 0.001).
CONCLUSIONThe translucency of zirconia sintered by microwave sintering is similar to that of the zirconia sintered by conventional sintering.

Objective To investigate the effects of penehyclidine hydrochloride (PHC) on acute lung injury induced by blunt chest trauma-hemorrhagic shock and resuscitation in rats. Methods Forty male SpragueDawley rats, aged 8 weeks, weighing 250-300 g,were randomly assigned into 4 equal groups (n =10 each) using a random number table:sham operation group (S group),blunt chest trauma combined with hemorrhagic shock and resuscitation group (group THSR),PHC for prevention group (group P1)and PHC for treatment group (group P2).ALI was induced by dropping a 300 g weight onto a precordial protective shield to direct the impact force away from the heart and toward the lungs in anesthetized rats in THSR,P1 and P2 groups.Blood was withdrawn via the femoral artery 5 min later until MAP was decreased to 35-45 mmHg within 15 min and maintained at this level for 60 min, followed by resuscitation. In P1 group,PHC 2 mg/kg was injected intravenously at 30 min before blunt chest trauma. In P2 group,PHC 2 mg/kg was injected intravenously at 60 min after hemorrhagic shock. At 6 h after the model was established, arterial blood samples were obtained for blood gas analysis and for measurement of concentrations of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) in serum by ELISA.Oxygenation index (OI) was calculated. The animals were sacrificed and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) was collected for determination of white blood cell count and protein concentrations.Lungs were removed for examination of pathological changes and ultrastructure and for determination of Toll-like receptor (TLR4) and phosphor-p38 mitogen activated protein kinase (p-p38MAPK) expression (by Western blot). Results Compared with group S,PaO2 and OI were significantly decreased,PaCO2,protein concentrations in BALF,white blood cell count, and IL-6 and IL-1β concentrations in serum were increased, and TLR4 and p-p38MAPK expression was up-regulated in THSR,P1 and P2 groups.Compared with group THSR,PaO2 and OI were significantly increased,PaCO2,protein concentrations in BALF,white blood cell count, and IL-6 and IL-lβ concentrations in serum were decreased,TLR4 and p-p38MAPK expression was down-regulated in P1 and P2 groups. No significant differences were found in the parameters mentioned above between P1 and P2 groups. Conclusion PHC can mitigate acute lung injury induced by blunt chest trauma-hemorrhagic shock and resuscitation in rats, and inhibited activation of TLR4/ p38MAPK signaling pathway and attenuated inflammatory responses are involved in the mechanism.

BACKGROUND: The plasma concentration of paraquat is closely related to the prognosis of patients with paraquat toxication, and the most common cause of death from paraquat poisoning is multiple organ failure (MOF). This study aimed to evaluate therapeutic effect of smecta on the plasma concentrations of paraquat and multi-organ injury induced by paraquat intoxication in rats. METHODS: A total of 76 healthy adult SD rats were randomly divided into group A (control group, n=6), group B (poisoned group, n=30) and group C (smecta-treated group, n=30). Rats in groups B and C were treated intragastrically with PQ at 50 mg/kg, and rats in group A was treated intragastrically with saline (1 mL). Rats in group C were given intragastrically smecta at 400 mg/kg 10 minutes after administration of PQ, while rats in other two groups were treated intragastrically with 1 mL saline at the same time. Live rats in groups B and C were sacrificed at 2, 6, 24, 48, 72 hours after administration of PQ for the determination of paraquat plasma concentrations and for HE staining of the lung, stomach and jejunum. The rats were executed at the end of trial by the same way in group A. RESULTS: The plasma concentration of paraquat (ng/mL) ranged from 440.314±49.776 to 4320.6150±413.947. Distinctive pathological changes were seen in the lung, stomach and jejunum in group B. Lung injuries deteriorated gradually, edema, leukocyte infiltration, pneumorrhagia, incrassated septa and lung consolidation were observed. Abruption of mucosa, hyperemic gastric mucosa and leukocyte infiltration were obvious in the stomach. The hemorrhage of jejunum mucosa, the abruption of villus, the gland damage with the addition of inflammatory cell infiltration were found. Compared to group B, the plasma concentration of paraquat reduced (P<0.01) and the pathological changes mentioned above were obviously alleviated in group C (P<0.05, P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Smecta reduced the plasma concentration of paraquat and alleviated pathologic injury of rats with PQ poisoning.

From the process of human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) invading cells, the combination of gp120 and CD4 is the first step for HIV-1 to invade cells. Interfering with this process can prevent HIV from recognizing target cells and inhibit virus replication. Therefore, HIV-1 gp120 is an important part of the HIV-1 life cycle. Fostesavir, a phosphatate prodrug derived from the gp120 inhibitor BMS-626529 modified by the prodrug strategy, was approved for the treatment of adult patients with multidrug resistant HIV-1 infection by the US FDA and the European Medicines Agency in 2020 and 2021, respectively. In this review, we focus on the research progress of small molecule inhibitors targeting the interaction of gp120-CD4 from the perspective of medicinal chemistry, in order to provide reference for the subsequent research of gp120 inhibitors.

Hemagglutinin and neuraminidase, two important glycoproteins on the surface of influenza virus, play a considerable role in the entry and release stage of the viral life cycle, respectively. With in-depth investigation of influenza virus glycoproteins and the continuous innovation of drug discovery strategies, a new generation of glycoproteins inhibitors have been continuously discovered. From the point of view of medicinal chemistry, this review summarizes the current advances in seeking small-molecule inhibitors targeting influenza virus glycoproteins, hoping to provide valuable guidance for future development of novel antiviral drugs.
