Objective To investigate the time distribution characteristics and the epidemic trends of imported malaria cases in Yunnan Province. Methods The malaria case records and epidemiological history data of Yunnan Province were collected, and the local infection cases were excluded. The data were statistical analyzed. Results The imported malaria cases had a sig-nificantly seasonal periodicity(Q=26.574,P<0.05)and epidemic trends(Q=35.487,P<0.05). The imported peak was in May,while February was the lowest month of imported cases, and the difference was significant(Z=-2.619,P<0.05). The simple seasonal prediction model was the best model(R2= 0.677,BIC = 4.867)for forecast while the residual sequence was white noise(Q=14.226,P>0.05). By using the model to predict the cases in January,February and March of 2016,the num-ber(95%CI)were 29(7-50),22(0-44)and 31(8-54),and the actual number of imported malaria cases were 29,24 and 38 cases respectively and all cases were included in the 95%CI. Conclusion The imported malaria cases in Yunnan Province had a significantly seasonal periodicity and epidemic trends, and the established model has good prediction on the recent cases.

Abstract?AlM:To discuss the feasibility of using the visual quality analyzer KR - 1W to guide the relatively personalized aspheric intraocular lens ( lOL ) implants to make the whole eye spherical aberration close to 0. 1μm.?METHODS: ln this prospective case series study, the corneal spherical aberration with 6mm aperture of 73 patients (100 eyes) was measured with KR-1W Visual Function Analyzer 1d before surgery. For the sake of the whole postoperative spherical aberration were close to 0. 1μm, 9 cases ( 16 eyes ) with corneal spherical aberration <0. 15μm were implanted Sofport Advanced Optic lOL, named AO group;45 cases ( 57 eyes ) with corneal spherical aberration 0. 25~0. 3μm were implanted AcrySof lQ lOL, named lQ group;19 cases (27 eyes) with corneal spherical aberration > 0. 35μm were implanted Tecnis ZA9003 lOL, named Tecnis group. Aspherical lOL was implanted after phacoemulsification through a cornea 2. 75mm incision without suture. Uncorrected visual acuity, beat corrected visual acuity, spherical aberration of the whole eye and jnternal optics (mainly lOL) at 6mm pupil diameter were examined at 3mo postoperatively. The relevant data were analyzed using t-test and variance analysis.?RESULTS: The whole ocular spherical aberration at 6mm pupil diameter in all postoperative were 0. 084 ± 0. 032μm;in Tecnis group, the data were 0. 091 ± 0. 021μm;in AO group, the data were 0. 0814-0. 013μm;lQ group were0. 093 ± 0. 042μm. There was no significantly different between the predicted value and actual value of ocular spherical aberration at 6 mm pupil diameter in all postoperative ( t = 1. 932, P = 0. 061 ) and in the three groups. The difference value in the predicted values of the preoperative spherical aberrations of the whole eye and the actual values after surgery was 0. 013±0. 041μm; there was no statistically significant difference ( F=2. 537, P=0. 091 ) . Respectively compared the uncorrected visual acuity and besta corrected visual acuity among three groups of postoperative, no significant difference were found (F=0. 897, P=0. 421;F=1. 423, P=0. 097).?CONCLUSlON: Personality selection of aspheric lOL based on preoperative corneal spherical aberration of patients is feasible and produces satisfactory target postoperative total spherical aberration.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To explore the mechanisms by which hydrogen sulfide (H2S) regulates collagen metabolism during hypoxic pulmonary vascular structural remodeling. Methods Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group (n=6), hypoxia group (n = 6) and hypoxia+NaHS group(n= 6) H2S content in plasma was measured with spectrophotometry. The expression of collagen I was detected by immunohistochemistry. The expression of tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1(TIMP-1) mRNA was detected with situ hybridization Results Compared with hypoxia group, H2S content in plasma increased significantly and the expressions of collagen I and TIMP-1 mRNA in pulmonary arteries were down- regulated in hypoxia + NaHS group. The H2S content in plasma negatively correlated with TIMP-I mRNA expression. Conclusions H2S increases the degradation of collagen in small and media pulmonary arteries of rats under hypoxia by decreasing the synthesis of TIMP-1, and therefore, attenuats the collagen remodeling in pulmonary arteries of hypoxic rats.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, relapsing, inflammatory dermatosis with a variety of clinical manifestations and difficult to cure. Currently, many AD drug candidates have entered the research and development pipeline. In order to provide technical specifications for the clinical development of AD drugs, the Center for Drug Evaluation of National Medical Products Administration released the "Technical Guidelines for Clinical Trials of Drugs for AD Treatment" (Draft for Comments) in November 2022. Non-clinical pharmacodynamics evaluation is an important research before the drug enters clinical trials. Oxazolone (OXA)- and 2,4-dinitro-fluorobenzene (DNFB)-induced models are the most popular classical hapten-induced AD murine models, but variations of modeling are existing in the methods from different studies, including sensitization sites, haptens' dosages, the period of challenges, and the skin lesions severity evaluation as well. In this study, the investigation of OXA- and DNFB-induced AD murine models with various conditions of modeling was performed to compare the characteristics of hapten-induced AD murine models in the pathological process and severity according to the appearance of AD patients, and the guidance of pharmacodynamics evaluation of AD-therapeutic drugs in clinical trials as well, which may provide a proposal for AD treatment drug candidates in the non-clinical pharmacodynamics evaluation. All animal experiments were approved by the Animal Care & Welfare Committee of Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College (approval No.: 00007782 and 00007784).
7.Comparison of anorectal pressure after procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids versus Doppler-guided hemorrhoidal artery ligation for grade III hemorrhoids.
Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2013;16(12):1183-1186
OBJECTIVETo compare the long-term anorectal manometry of patients with grade III hemorrhoids treated by procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids (PPH) or Doppler-guided hemorrhoidal artery ligation (DGHAL).
METHODSA total of 114 patients with grade III hemorrhoids in our department in 2010 were prospectively enrolled, and divided into PPH group (63 cases) and DGHAL group (51 cases) according to patient preference. Patients received anorectal pressure examination 2, 6, 12, 18 months after operation, including rectal resting pressure, anal resting pressure, maximal anal contractive pressure and length of high-pressure band. Anorectal manometries between two procedure groups were compared.
RESULTSIn every time point of follow-up, as compared to PPH group, DGHAL group presented higher anal resting pressure[postoperative 2 months: (56.2±2.6) mmHg vs. (43.2±3.1) mmHg, postoperative 6 months: (55.2±2.1) mmHg vs. (45.1±2.5) mmHg, postoperative 12 months: (53.2±3.0) mmHg vs. (40.2±3.2) mmHg, postoperative 18 months: (55.3±2.6) mmHg vs. (43.2±2.5) mmHg, all P<0.01], and longer length of high-pressure band [postoperative 2 months: (3.45±0.14) cm vs. (2.95±0.22) cm, postoperative 6 months: (3.46±0.12) cm vs. (2.94±0.26) cm, postoperative 12 months: (3.45±0.12) cm vs. (3.01±0.21) cm, postoperative 18 months: (3.56±0.12) cm vs. (3.02±0.23) cm, all P<0.01]. While no significant differences of maximal anal contractive pressure and rectal resting pressure were found between the two groups.
CONCLUSIONBoth PPH and DGHAL are safe procedures and have similar efficacy in the treatment of grade III hemorrhoids, while DGHALpossesses better efficacy in the time of anal function recovery and the maintenance of anal function.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effectiveness and safety of external applying Compound Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F. (TwHF) in relieving joint pain in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients.
METHODSIn this double-blinded, randomized multicenter trial, a total of 174 moderately active RA patients were enrolled and randomly assigned to the treatment group (treated with Compound TwHF, 87 cases) and the placebo control group (87 cases). Compound TwHF or placebo was externally applied in painful joints, 20 g each time, once per day for 8 weeks. Self-reported joint pain relief was taken as a primary effective indicator. Visual analogue scale for pain (VAS), disease activity score of 28 joints (DAS28), VAS for general health (GH) were evaluated before treatment, at week 4 and after treatment. Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and hypersensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP) were tested before and after treatment. Menstrual changes in females were observed during treatment. Skin irritation occurred during the recording process was assessed using skin irritation strength. Intention to treat (ITT) was statistically analyzed.
RESULTSThe joint pain relief rate in the treatment group was 90.8% (79/87 cases), higher than that in the placebo control group (69.0%, 60/87 cases; P = 0.001). VAS pain score, DAS28, VAS for GH score were significantly improved in the two groups at week 4 of treatment and after treatment, as compared with before treatment (P < 0.01). ESR and hs-CRP levels significantly decreased in the treatment group after treatment (P < 0.05, P < 0.01). No difference was found in post-treatment VAS pain score, DAS28, VAS for GH score, ESR, or hs-CRP between the two groups (P > 0.05). Eight adverse events occurred in the treatment group (5 skin allergy, 1 intolerance of medical odor, and 2 mild liver injury), while 3 adverse events occurred in the placebo control group (2 skin allergy, 1 mild liver injury). There was no statistical difference in adverse event between the two groups (P > 0.05). No menstrual change occurred in the treatment group.
CONCLUSIONExternal applying Compound TwHF was an effective and safe way to relieve-joint pain of RA patients, which could be taken as an adjuvant therapy.
