Objective To study the seasonal change of antibodies levels in the serum of asthma patients and Der P1 concentration in the dust samples collected from their bedrooms. Methods 36 asthma patients who were allergic to mites were treated as the patients group,21 male and 15 female, aged 43 years of average age. 20 healthy individuals were treated as the control group,11 male and 9 female, with the same age as the patients group. In September and December in 2005,and Match and June in 2006,the dust samples in the bedrooms of patients and the venous blood were collected, the samples of the control were collected only in September. Der P1 concentrations in dust samples and the levels of total IgE,mite specific IgE (s-IgE),s-IgG1,s-IgG2,s-IgG3 and s-IgG4 were detected by ELISA assay. Results In autumn, the levels of total IgE,s-IgE,s-IgG1,s-IgG2,s-IgG4 and the Der P 1 concentrations in patients were significant higher compared with the control group (P

Objectives To study the effect of Lactulose oral solution combined with polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder on the intestinal cleanness. Methods One hundred and twenty patients undergoing electronic colonoscopy were divided into the experiment group and the control group,60 cases in each group. The experiment group orally took Lactulose oral solution and polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder 1d before the check, while the control group polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder 1d before the check. The two groups were compared in terms of intestinal cleanness and adverse reactions. Results The experiment group was significantly better than the control group in intestinal cleanness(P>0.05)and there were no significant difference has in adverse reactions(P>0.05).Conclusion The combined use of polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder and Lactulose Oral Solution may improve the intestinal cleanness and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.

In this paper, the Fourier transform based minimum mean square error (FT-based MMSE) method is used to calculate the regional cerebral blood volume (rCBV) in magnetic resonance (MR) perfusion imaging, and the method is improved to handle the existing noise in the imaging process. In the experiments with signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 50 dB, the rCBV values were compared with the results using MMSE method. The effects of different SNRs on the estimation of rCBV were analyzed. The experimental results showed that MMSE was a simple way to filter the measurement noise, and could calculate rCBV accurately. Compared with other existing methods, the present method is not sensitive to environment, and furthermore, it is suitable to deal with the perfusion images acquired from the environment with larger SNR.

Objective To research the effects of transcutaneous electrical stimulation (TES) on the expression of neurotrophin-3 (NT-3) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-a) in the ventral horn of rats' spinal cords and in the injured region after spinal cord injury (SCI),and to explore the effects of TES on neuron reconstruction and functional recovery and their mechanisms. Methods Forty-eight Wistar rats were selected and divided using stochastic methods into a model group and a TES group.Using Allen's method,a complete SCI model was created at T9.Rats of the TES group were given TES treatment.Basso-Beattie-Brasnahan ( BBB ) ratings were used to evaluate locomotor function. Both groups were sampled at 1,3,5 and 7 days after the operation.Immunohistochemical techniques were used to detect the expression of NT-3 and TNF-α in the rats' spinal cords at the different time points. Results The post-operative BBB ratings of both groups showed an increasing trend. In the TES group the improvement was significantly better at 5 and 7 days than in the model group. The expression of NT-3 immuno-positive cells increased in both groups, peaking at 5 days post-operation,then declining at day 7.The expression of NT-3 positive cells at days 5 and 7 had increased significantly more in the TES group than in the model group.TNF-α immuno-positive expression increased with time in both groups, but in the TES group the expression increased substantially less than in the model group. At days 5 and 7 post-operation,the expression was significantly lower than in the model group. Conclusions TES can promote NT-3 expression in rats with SCI,inhibit the increase in TNF-α expression, and aid repair and reconstruction of neurons and related functional recovery.

Objective To evaluate the relationship between the T1 relaxation times using gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI with the organic anion transporter (OATP) and multi-drug resistance protein (MRP) values on colorectal liver metastasis and around normal liver parenchyma. Methods The perspective study included in fifteen patients with liver metastasis from colorectal cancer, who were confirmed colorectal cancer by colonoscopy, liver metastasis by CT scanning and would be underwent liver metastasis surgery. The lesion on the 15 patients was all single. The patients were performed plain scanning, diffusion weighted imaging and dynamic enhancement MRI examination using gadoxetic acid.Besides, for T1 mapping,a dual flip angle three-dimensional gradient echo sequence was performed before and at 20 minutes after gadoxetic acid administration. The reduction rate of T1 relaxation time (ΔT) (before and after gadoxetic-acid administration) of colorectal liver metastasis and around normal liver parenchyma was calculated. The specimens of hepatic metastases and around normal liver parenchyma were obtained during the colorectal liver metastasis operation. After that, they were analyzed by Western-blot and the values on OATP1,OATP8 and MRP2,MRP3 were recorded. The values on OATP1,OATP8 and MRP2,MRP3 and ΔT on hepatic metastases and around normal liver parenchyma were compared with t analysis. The correlation between the sum of the values (hepatic metastases adding around normal liver parenchyma) on OATPI,OATPS,MRP2,MRP3 with T1 relaxation times were calculated by Spearman. Results The scanning images on colorectal liver metastasis using gadoxetic acid MRI examination were as follows:relatively low signal intensity on T1WI; relatively higher signal intensity on T2WI; showing surrounding moderate enhancement on arterial phase and low signal intensity on portal venous phase, delay phase and hepatobililary phase. The values on OATP1,OATP8,MRP2,MRP3 and AT on the hepatic metastases were(0.21±0.09),(0.34±0.21),(0.41±0.22),(0.26±0.14)ng/ml and (33±9)%,respectively.The values on OATP1,OATP8,MRP2,MRP3 and ΔT around normal liver parenchyma were (0.46±0.24),(0.67±0.35),(0.22±0.13),(0.13±0.06) ng/ml and(68±9)% (t values were 36.37,58.89,24.56,22.52 and 57.16;P<0.05).The values on patients on OATP1,OATP8,MRP2 and MRP3 [(0.67±0.31),(1.00±0.37),(0.63±0.23),(0.40±0.13)ng/ml,respectively] showed relationship with the values on patients on ΔT(51±9)% (r values were 0.491,0.432,-0.414 and-0.371;P values were 0.006,0.017,0.023 and 0.040).Conclusion The sum of the values (the hepatic metastases adding around normal liver parenchyma) on OATP1,OATP8,MRP2 and MRP3 showed correlation with the sum of values on the ΔT using gadoxetie acid-enhanced MRI examination, which explained relationship with the quantity of gadoxetic acid absorbed by hepatocyte and the T1 relaxation time on molecular level.
