1.Study Progress on Embryonic Stem Cells and Adult Stem Cells Derivated into Male Germ Cells
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(08):-
Embryonic stem cells(ESCs),a kind of totipotent cells, can differentiate into cell type of the 3 germ layers.Adult stem cells(ASCs) are pluripotent stem cells, which can self-renew and transdifferentiate into a completely different tissue derivative cells. Thus ASCs can transdifferentiate into germ cells in a certain condition.Great progress has made for the study on human ESCs.However, use of ESCs faces the immunological rejection, oncogenicity and ethical controversies problems, and these limit their uses for treatment of human diseases. On contrast,ASCs can advoid these problems, and they may have a better perspective.Germ cells as carriers of genetic materials, are worth of studying. If male germ cells can be derived from ASCs,this will open the possibilities for the use of these cells for male infertillty in clinical application. In this review,we will introduce the progress on derivation of male germ cells from ESCs and ASCs.

Objective To analyze efficacy of rituximab combined with chemotherapy for 35 patients with aggressive B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Methods 70 patients with aggressive B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma were chosen from Hematology Department of First Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning Medical University and divided into observation group and control group at random, each group with 35 cases. The control group were treated with CHOP chemotherapy, and the observation group were treated with anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody rituximab combined with CHOP chemotherapy. The efficacy and toxicity of two group were compared. Results The total effective rate of observation group was significantly higher than that of control group (80.0%vs.37.1%;χ2 =13.246,P<0.001).Fever cases of observation group were significantly more than those of control group (15vs.4;χ2 =8.741,P=0.003), while the other adverse reactions of leucopenia and gastrointestinal reaction between two groups were not significantly different. Conclusion For patients with aggressive B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, rituximab combined with CHOP chemotherapy has better short-term effects and its adverse reactions are tolerable, which helps patients to improve the quality of life.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2024;36(12):1045-1048,1051
Abstract
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cognitive dysfunction and behavioral impairments. Currently, the treatment mainly relies on pharmacotherapy, yet its effectiveness is limited and accompanied by adverse reactions. Multimodal non-pharmacological interventions (MNPI), which combine two or more non-pharmacological intervention approaches, can synergistically improve cognitive function, neuropsychiatric symptoms, activities of daily living, and quality of life in AD patients, and offers advantages of safety, cost-effectiveness and simplicity. This article reviews MNPI-related literature published domestically and internationally from 2018 to 2024, and focuses on the application of cognitive training, physical activity, and other combined intervention methods in MNPI, providing the reference for developing personalized interventions for AD.

Progress in Modern Biomedicine 2017;17(27):5348-5353
Objective:To investigate the pathogenic bacteria distribution and risk factors of pulmonary infection after tracheotomy in patients with stroke coma, and to put forward preventive measures.Methods:96 patients with stroke coma from January 2016 to February 2017 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The incidence of pulmonary infection and distribution of pathogenic bacteria of patients with stroke coma were analyzed. At the same time, the risk factors of pulmonary infection were analyzed by single factor and multiple factors logistic regression analysis, and corresponding preventive measures were put forward. Results:The incidence of pulmonary infection after tracheotomy in 96 patients with stroke coma was 48.96% (47/96).A total of 104 pathogens were isolated and cultured, including gram negative bacteria 69 strains (66.35%),gram positive bacteria 20 strains (19.23%) and fungus 15 strains (14.42%).Single factor regression analysis results showed that pulmonary infection after tracheotomy in patients with stroke coma was closely related with age, basic diseases, time of tracheotomy, and bed time, use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, smoking history, artificial airway, times of sputum suction and inhalation(P<0.05),and it was not related to the patient's gender, weight, stroke type (P>0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age 45 years old, complicated with basic disease, time oftracheotomy 5 d,use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, smoking history and the establishment of artificial airway were risk factors of pulmonary infection after tmcheotomy in patients with stroke coma (P<0.05).ROC analysis results showed that the critical point (threshold C) oftmcheotomy time was 4.3 days, and the sensitivity and specificity were 0.851 and 0.918 respectively. Conclusion:The main pathogenic bacteria of pulmonary infection after tracheotomy in patients with stroke coma is gram-negative bacteria, age 45 years old, complicated with basic disease, time of tmcheotomy 5d,use of broad-spectrum antibiotics, smoking history and the establishment of artificial airway can lead to pulmonary infection after tracheotomy in patients with stroke coma, and the risk of pulmonary infection in patients with stroke coma will increase considerably after the time of tracheotomy for more than 4.3 days.Targeted measures should be taken to reduce the risk of pulmonary infection according to pathogenic features and risk factors.

The HPLC-UV-Fluorescence technique and HPLC-UV-MS technique were used to determine fluorescence molecule in gastric juice of patients with malignant gastric cancer, which is identified as tryptophan. Lidocaine was detected in gastric juice of patients who were examined by gastric endoscopy. A method was developed to determine concentration of tryptophan and lidocaine in gastric juice using HPLC-UV technique,in which Kromasil C_(18) column(150 mm×4.6 mm,5μm) and methanol(containing 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid (TFA))-water(containing 0. 1% TFA) as gradient mobile phase were used. The linear relationships were obtained between the concentration of tryptophan in the range of 0.5 - 200 mg/L and its peak area at 278 run with correlation coefficient of 0.9994,and between the concentration of lidocaine in the range of 20 -5000 mg/L and its peak area at 254 nm with correlation coefficient of 0.9992. The limit of detection is 0.15 mg/L for tryptophan and 5 mg/L for lidocaine. The recovery is 70. 8% - 110. 4% for tryptophan and 87. 1% -116.2% for lidocaine. 38 gastric juice samples of patients with malignant gastric disease and 48 gastric juice samples of patients with benign gastric disease were tested and the concentration of tryptophan in those two groups of gastric juice samples was apparently different.
