1.Distribution and Drug Susceptibility of Bacteria Isolated from Patients with Biliary Tract Infection
Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2005;0(11):-
OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution and drug susceptibility of microorganism isolated from patients with infection of biliary tract, and provide informations for clinical reasonable antibiotics selection. METHODS A total of 957 bile specimens of patients with infection of biliary tract were cultured and drug susceptibility test was performed. RESULTS From the 398 strains(66.67%) of microorganism were cultured. The main pathogenic bacteria were Escherichia coli(33.09%),Klebsiella pneumoniae(11.19%),Enterococcus faecalis(8.67%),Enterococcus faecium(5.78%) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa(4.69%).Meanwhile,the main pathogenic fungus was Candida albicans(7.22%).The susceptibility of Enterobacteriaceae to amikacin, imipenem and meropenem were 95.48%,100.00% and 100.00%,respectively.Susceptibility of Enterococcus to ampicillin and high concentration gentamicin were 73.61% and 84.72%,respectively. CONCLUSIONS E.coli,K.pneumoniae,E.faecalis and C.albicans are the main pathogens resulted in biliary tract infections. The strategy of amikacin combined with ampicillin may be recommended for empirical treatment in biliary tract infection.

Objective To observe the growth characters of upper gastrointectinal tract leiomyoma. Methods Using endoscopic ultrasonography to detect leiomyoma of upper gastrointestinal tract leiomyoma in 18 cases once every 6 months on follow-up , and to measure the longest diameter ( A mm) and calculate its growth rate per month. Results In this series, the majority of cases have the leiomyoma of longest diameter(A) 10~20mm. Their growth rates in A≤10mm, 10mm

Objective To observe the effects of neuromuscular activation (Neurac) training on balance and walking in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. Methods 30 children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy from March to October, 2015 were divided into observation group (n=15) and control group (n=15). Both groups received routine rehabilitation, while the observation group received 30-minute Neurac training in addition, 5 times a week, for 3 months. They were assessed with D and E domains of Gross Motor Function Measure 88 (GM-FM-88), balance of Fugl-Meyer Assessment and footprints analysis before and after treatment. Results The scores of D and E domains of GMFM-88 and balance of Fugl-Meyer Assessment, and the step length, step width and velocity improved in both groups after training (t>7.31, P<0.001), especially in the observation group (t>2.08, P<0.05). Conclusion Neuroac training can further promote the recovery of gross motor function, balance and walking in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the use of antibiotics in our Outpatient Department during 2006-2007,and to analyze and evaluate the trend and rationality.METHODS The data about consumption quantity and consumption sum of antibiotics in our Outpatient Department during 2006-2007 were retrieved by means of computer management software in the department of pharmacy for the analysis of the clinical use of antibiotics using the method of defined daily dose(DDD).RESULTS Fluoro quinolones, cephalosporins and plant antibiotics have dominated the first places among the antibiotics used in our hospital, and the consumption of cephalosporins kept increasing year by year.CONCLUSIONS The use of antibiotics in our hospital should be further standardized to ensure the drug using safe, efficient and economic in our hospital.

OBJECTIVE To promote clinical rational use of antibiotic prophylaxis through surveying it in Obstetrics and Gynecology Department (OG) by pharmacists. METHODS Data of 223 cases using of antibiotic prophylaxis in OG were retrospectively analyzed. According to unreasonable use of antibiotic prophylaxis, the clinical pharmacists put out reasonable measures and directed treatment in succedent 206 patients. RESULTS The rate of unreasonable use of antibiotic prophylaxis in 223 cases was 100% and rate of infection after operation was 9.87%. After giving intervention, the rate of unreasonable use of antibiotic prophylaxis and infection were reduced to 3.88% and 1.46%,respectively (P

AIM: The purpose of this study was to eva lu ate the effect of tetracycline combined with anti-inflammation drug on the serum antibody level against porphyromonas gingivalis (Pg) in patients with early-ons et periodontitis (EOP). METHODS: The study population consisted of 12 individuals with e arly-onset periodontitis, 16 patients with adult periodontitis (AP) and 12 perio dontally healthy subjects (HS). Clinical examination and recordings of probing p ocket depth (PPD), periodontal attachment level (PAL) and bleeding on probing (B OP) were performed prior to treatment and at three months following the periodontal treatment. The serum antibody titer against Pg in patients with EOP was measured at diagnosis and at the termination of treatmeat. RESULTS: A significant improvement was observed in probing pocke t depth, periodontal attachment level and gingival bleeding index post treatment for three months. The serum IgG antibody titer against porphyromonas ging ivalis was decreased significantly after the treatment. CONCLUSION: Our results demonstrate that mechanical periodontal treatment combined with tetracycline and anti-inflammation drug provides clinica lly favorable results in patients with early-onset periodontitis.

AIM:To investigate the mechanism responsible for albumin microbubbles adherence to activated leukocytes. METHODS: In vitro studies were performed in which activated or nonactivated leukocytes were incubated with albumin microbubbles and observed under microscopy. The suspensions of leukocytes and microbubbles which contained or absented of integrins were analyzed with flow cytometry.RESULTS: A minimum of 50 cells were identified under transillumination. 5 min after microbubbles were incubated with leukocytes, the number of cells interacting with microbubbles was greater for activated cells than for nonactivated cells(20 30?2 67 vs 4 50?1 43, P

Objective:To express and purify a new fusion protein harboring human epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) binding domain and Interleukin-18(IL-18), as well as preliminary assay biological activity of recombinant proteins. Methods:Fusion protein was expressed in insect cells Spodoptera frugiperda cell (Sf9) by using Bac-to-Bac system, and an abbreviation purification procedure was used to purify fusion protein. IFN-?induction assay and EGF Receptor competitive test was used to determine fusion protein's biological activity.Results:SDS-PAGE and western blot assay showed that purified EGF-IL-18 fusion protein had high purity in 20 kD as expected and had the same antigenic specificity as human IL-18. IFN-?induction assay and EGF Receptor competitive test showed that fusion protein induced production of IFN-?in human PBMC and bound with tumor cells.Conclusion:EGF-IL-18 fusion protein has been successfully expressed and purified in insect cells and shows potential to apply in targeting therapy for tumor.
