AIM: To optimize the microemulsion containing tetramethylpyrazine phosphate in order to increase its transdermal delivery in vitro. METHODS: Pseudo-ternary phase diagrams were prepared to obtain the microemulsion areas at different ratio of surfactant to cosurfactant.In these areas,the formulation of microemulsion was optimized with four dimension simplex lattice method and the optimization equation was constructed,the accuracy of which was tested.With aid of SOLVER subprogram,the maximal value of transdermal flux and the formular of optimization microemulsion were calculated according to the equation.The diameter and stability of optimization microemulsion were tested. RESULTS: The experiment values from simplex lattice system were close to that of the predicted value from the equation.And the transdermal flux in vitro of optimized formular was 13.89 ?g/cm~(2)?h,It is mean diameter of 12.5 nm,and stable in six months. CONCLUSION: The optimization equation can predict transdermal flux of microemulsion system.The drug transdermal flux of the optimization formular improves significantly.That is stable in six months at mild temperature.

Immunological imbalance is the foundation for the development of liver damage or fibrosis.Therefore,the treatment of liver disea-ses not only relies on regenerative medicine for cellular replacement,but also depends on immunoregulation.The immunological basis of liver injury and repair,the immunological basis of multipotent stem cells for allograft,and the research advances in the immunoregulatory effect of stem cells in the treatment of liver diseases demonstrated that multipotent stem cells,especially mesenchymal stem cells,have low immuno-genicity and cause immunosuppression,with the immunological basis of allograft;in addition,they can improve the local immune microenvi-ronment of the liver by immunoregulation to reduce the liver injury caused by immune response.It is suggested that multipotent stem cells, which meet the requirements of cellular replacement and immunoregulation in the liver,will become an ideal treatment of liver diseases.

The paper introduces using MedlineR to carry out data mining from Medline, for observing the gene relation, and using Pajek to realize the visualization of the results. Practice proofs that MedlineR could help researchers come up with assumptions in the field that they are interested in, and get a visual fingerprint. These results are the bases to go to more complex literature data mining and an important supplementary to experimental methods.

Objective:To observe the efficacy of different forms of triamcinolone acetonide( TA) in the treatment of buccal erosive oral lichen planus (EOLP). Methods:120 EOLP patients were randomly divided into 4 groups(n=30) and treated with Kangfuxin mouth-wash followed by topical ointment of( TA) , TA injection, TA mouth-wash and only Kangfuxin mouth-wash only, respectively. Before treatment, 1, 2 and 4 weeks after treatment, the pain (VAS score) and erosion area were measured, the effects were compared among groups. Results:The VAS scores of A, B and C groups were significantly lower than those of the control group after 1, 2 and 4 week treatment, and the total effective rate was significantly higher than that of the control group, respectively(P<0. 05). The VAS score was lower and total effective rate was higher in group A and group B than those in group C(P<0. 05), but there was no statistically sig-nificant difference between group A and B(P>0. 05). The average erosion area of group A and B was significantly smaller than that of the control group after 1, 2 and 4 week treatment(P<0. 05). There was no significant difference between group C and the control group after 1 and 2 week treatment(P>0. 05), but 4 weeks after treatment, the average area of erosion of group C was significantly smaller than that of the control group(P<0. 05). Conclusion:Triamcinolone acetonide is effective in the treatment of OLP and the oral oint-ment form is safe and convenient for OLP treatment.

Objective: To study the morphological changes of erythrocytes in hyperl ipemia. Methods: Wistar rats used were divided into normal control group (NC) an d hyp erlipemia group (HL, fed with high lipid diets). The morphological changes of er ythrocytes were observed by SEM, and classified and counted. Results: Compared with NC,percentage of normal erythrocytes in HL were decreased from 76.4 % to 45.7%. The percentage of echinocytes, spherostomatocytes and target cells w ere increased from 4%, 2.2%, 1.5% to 17.3%, 10.4%, 5.8% respectively. The nu mber of ridged cells and abnormal cells was a little increased.Conclusion: The number of abnormal erythrocytes was significantly increased in h yperlipemia.

Objective To investigate the clinical and pathological features of postmenopausal women with thickening endometrial. Methods Totally 187 patients with postmenopausal endometrial thickening by transvaginal B-ultrasound were divided into symptomatic group (n=104)and asymptomatic group (n=83).Their body mass index,age of menarche and menopause,history of menstruation and reproductive,application of estrogen,and hypertension and diabetes were collected.All the patients underwent hysteroscopy and biopsy procedures. Results There was no difference between two groups in body mass index [ (24.3 ± 3.2) kg/m2 vs.(23.3 ± 2.6) kg/m2,t =3.79,P =0.052]. The postmenopausal time of symptomatic patients in the group was shorter than the asymptomatic [ ( 14.6 ± 2.4) years vs.( 16.5 ± 2.9 ) years,t =4.12,P =0.039].The patients in the asymptomatic group were older than the patients in the symptomatic group [(68.1 ±4.8) years vs.(66.1± 5.5) years,F=3.89,P =0.046].The average endometrial thickness of patients in the asymptomatic group showed no difference compared with patients in the symptomatic group [(7.2 ±1.4) mm vs. (7.8 ± 2.0) mm,F=3.21,P=0.065]. There were 5 cases of endometrial adenocarcinoma,1 case of endometrial atypical hyperplasia,38 cases of endometrial polyp,25 cases of submucosal hysteromyoma,14 cases of proliferative phase endometrium in the asymptomatic group;while 8 cases of endometrial adenocarcinoma,1 case of endometrial stromal sarcoma,4 cases of endometrial serous papillary carcinoma,5 cases of endometrial atypical hyperplasia,47 cases of endometrial polyps,21 cases of submucosal hysteromyoma,2 cases of uterine empyema,8 cases of chronic inflammation of the endometrium, 8 cases of proliferative phase endometrium in the symptomatic group,respectively. Conclusions Most of endometrial thickness in postmenopausal women are benign lesions, mainly including endometrial polyps and submucous myoma, but endometrial cancer accounts for a certain percentage. Hysteroscopy is minimally invasive,safe and with specificity for the diagnosis and treatment of endometrial lesions.

Objective　To study the relationship between the changes of cytosine，thymine，guanine（CTG）repeat numbers and brain stem BAEP,SEP and VEP in patients with myotonic dystrophy（DM） and their family members.Methods　The repeat numbers of CTG，BAEP， SEP and VEP of DM gene were determined by PCR amplification and DNA hybridization in 5 patients with DM and 16 members from 3 families.Results　The repeat numbers of CTG in 10 normal persons were 30，BAEP，SEP and VEP were normal.The repeat numbers of CTG in 5 patients with DM were over 85，two cases of them were over 1605，they were significantly higher than the normal persons.4 cases in 16 family members were normal,CTG repeat numbers of 12 cases were over normal genes,CTG repeat numbers were related to clinical symptom, BAEP，SEP and VEP.Conclusion　The gene diagnosis of DM was found to be consistent with its clinical symptom，the changes of BAEP，SEP and VEP.

Objective To investigate clinical characteristics and risk factors in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) complicated with chronic kidney disease (CKD).Methods Two hundred and two T2DM patients aged ≥60 y admitted in Tongren Hospital from August 2009 to February 2012 were enrolled in the study,including 64 cases complicated with CKD (CKD group)and 138 cases without CKD (non-CKD group).Hemoglobin (Hgb),albumin (ALB),glycated hemoglobin A1C (HbA1 c),fasting plasma glucose(FBG),postprandial glucose (PBG),serum creatinine (Scr),blood urea nitrogen (BUN),uric acid (UA),total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG),high densitylipoprotein (HDL-C),low density lipoprotein (LDL-C) were measured and ratio of urinary albumin to creatinine (UAER/CR) were calculated,ankle brachial index (ABI) and ambulatory blood pressure was examined.Results The duration of diabetes in CKD group was longer than that in non-CKD group [(13 ± 11) vs.(10 ± 7) y,t =2.35,P ＜ 0.05].Hgb and ALB in CKD group were lower than those in non-CKD group [(12.1 ± 1.7) vs.(13.3 ±1.3) g/L,(34.4±2.6) vs.(36.8 ±3.4) g/L,t=-5.73,-4.75,allP＜0.01]; UA,TG,24 h systolic blood pressure (SBP),24 h pulse pressure (PP)in CKD group were higher than those in non-CKD group [(367 ± 81) vs.(323 ± 74) μmol/L,(1.6 ± 0.9) vs.(1.3 ± 0.7) mmol/L,(133 ± 14) vs.(127±16)mmHg,(65 ±12) vs.(58 ±12)mmHg,t =3.82,2.50,2.47,3.68,all P＜0.1].The UAER/CR in CKD group and non-CKD group was 86.2 mg/g (24.6-374.8 mg/g) and 6.0 mg/g (3.6-17.8 mg/g),respectively (P ＜ 0.01) and ABI in CKD group and non-CKD group was 0.94 ± 0.18 and 1.03 ±0.18 (-2.78,P ＜0.05).There were no significant differences in FBG,PBG,HbA1c,TC,HDL-C andLDL-C between two groups(t =-2.02,1.47,1.48,-0.53,-1.20,-0.76,all P＞0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that ALB,TG and UAER/CR were the independent risk factors of CKD in T2DM patients(OR:0.79,3.63 and 1.04,95％ CI:0.62-1.01,1.45-9.01 and 1.00-1.08).Spearman correlation analysis demonstrated that eGFR was positively associated with Hgb,ALB,ABI (r =0.38,0.33 and 0.28,all P ＜ 0.01),negatively associated with age,BUN,Cr,UA,TG,UAER/CR,24 hSBP and PP in all diabetes patients(r =-0.32,-0.63,-0.89,-0.34,-0.18,-0.65,-0.16 and -0.248,all P ＜0.01).Conclusions ALB,TG,UAER/CR are the independent risk factors of chronic kidney disease in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
