4.Research progress of coiled-coil domain-containing in carcinoma
International Journal of Surgery 2014;41(9):635-638
Coiled-Coil domain-containing has many important biological functions and can control the invasion and metastasis of malignant tumor cells and other biological behavior. The abnormal expression of the coiled-coil domaincontaining protein in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, gastric cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, has a direct link with the phenotype of tumor cell migration, invasion and metastasis.Abnormal protein expression and inhibition of coiled-coil domain-containing related pathways can significantly affect the tumor invasion and metastasis, for the new targeted cancer medicine used in the treatment provides a theoretical basis.

6.Study on asialoglycoprotein receptor-mediated liver targeting:current progress
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2001;0(09):-
Asialoglycoprotein receptor(ASGPR),also called galactose receptor,is predominantly expressed on the sinusoidal surface of mammalian hepatocytes and is involved in many physiological functions. For many years ASGPR has been applied for targeting hepatocytes in drug and gene delivery and for functional mapping of the liver, and considerable progress has been made.ASGPR-mediated liver-targeted drug delivery mainly involved anti-tumor drugs and cholesterol-lowering drugs,etc.Liver-targeted gene delivery was often seen in antisense drugs. The research of hepatic imaging mainly involved the evaluation of liver function and identification between hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatic metastasis of tumors. In addition, researchers have also extended its applications to some new fields, such as three-dimension culture of hepatocytes, hepatocytes screening, and hepatocytes transplantation.New achievements in studies of ASGPR-mediated liver targeting are reviewed in this article.
7.Association of Fas promoter-670 polymorphism with systemic lupus erythematosus in southern Chinese
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2000;0(10):-
AIM: To investigate whether Fas promoter-670 polymorphism is associated with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) in Southern Chinese. METHODS: 103 SLE patients and 110 controls were studied. Fas promoter -670 polymorphism was typed by polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). RESULTS: No statistically significant differences were found when Fas promoter -670 genotype and allele frequencies were compared between the SLE and the controls. Similarly, no significant differences were seen between the male and female SLE and the controls, the SLE with lupus nephritis (LN) and the controls, the SLE with LN and the SLE without LN. CONCLUSION: Fas promoter -670 polymorphism does not appear to be associated with susceptibility to SLE in Southern Chinese. [
8.Outpatients' Cognition on Adverse Drug Reactions
China Pharmacy 2005;0(14):-
OBJECTIVE:To investigate outpatients' cognition(including knowledge, attitude and behavior)on adverse drug reactions(ADR),and to analyze the influential factors of ADR cognition.METHODS:An on-the-spot questionnaire survey was conducted in which a total of 488 outpatients sampled from our hospital from May to December in 2007 were investigated and the data analyzed statistically.RESULTS:The correct rate was 36.6% for the questions related to cognition on ADR.70.5% of the patients investigated had a poor cognition on ADR.The factors influencing patients' cognition on ADR included educational background,ADR experience, pharmacists' guidance on medication, source of medicine knowledge, occupation, doctors' guidance on medication, community ADR lecture, and gender.CONCLUSION:The outpatients have a poor cognition on ADR.Both doctors and pharmacists should offer guidance on medication and give lecture in community to inform patients the knowledge about rational administration and ADR.
9.Learning curve of Indian standardized manual small-incision cataract surgery
International Eye Science 2017;17(6):1158-1160
AIM:To explore the learning curve of the Indian standardized manual small-incision cataract surgery(SICS).METHODS:Totally 253 cases(295 eyes)of senile cataract were divided into three groups (Group A: training group, Group B and C: strengthened groups) according to the operation time from December 2012 to December 2014.All cases were performed with manual SICS by the same trainee ophthalmologist. To research the learning curve of manual SICS and evaluate surgical effects, the best corrected visual acuity and complications were observed. RESULTS: At 1wk postoperatively, the rate of relief from blindness in all three groups after operation were 100%, the rate of relief from visual handicap in group A, B, C were 93.7%,93.0% and 91.0% respectively.Complication rates were 2.1%, 7.0% and 3.0% respectively in three groups.Posterior capsular rupture accounted for 50% of all complications. No severe postoperative complications were found, such as nucleus or IOL falling into vitreous cavity, endophthalmitis, corneal endothelial function dysfunction and expulsive choroidal hemorrhage.CONCLUSION: Manual SICS is safe and effective.Because of helping to shorten the learning curve and decrease the incidence of complications, the standardized manual SICS training is worth using for reference.
10. The protective effect of geranylgeranylacetone-induced heat shock protein 70 on radiation-induced lung injury in mice
Tumor 2012;32(12):955-961
Objective: To study whether the expression of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) in lung tissue induced by GGA (geranylgeranylacetone) has a protective effect on radiation-induced lung injury in mice and its possible mechanism. Methods: One hundred and four health KM mice were randomly divided into control group, GGA group, radiation group and GGA combined with radiation group. Of GGA group and the GGA combined with radiation group before irradiation, the mice were pretreated with GGA at a dose of 600 mg·kg-1·d -1 for 3 d, while the mice of the control and the radiation groups were given 0.9% sodium chloride solution. Then the mice in the radiation group and the GGA combined with radiation group received whole-lung irradiation with X-ray at a single fraction of 20 Gy, while the mice of the other two groups received sham-irradiation. After irradiation, all the mice continued receiving treatment until the appropriate time points for detection. The expressions of HSP70 mRNA and TNF-α (tumor necrosis factor alpha) mRNA in lung tissues were detected by RT-PCR at day 1 and day 3 after irradiation. The positive cells and the distribution of HSP70 proteins were evaluated by immunohistochemistry at day 1 after irradiation. The morphological changes of lung tissues were observed by hematoxylin and eosin staining at day 3 and day 60 after irradiation. The pulmonary fibrosis severity was evaluated by Masson's trichrome staining and hydroxyproline content at day 60. The serum TGF-β1 (transforming growth factor- beta1) level at each time point was measured by ELISA. Results: The typical early stage radiation pneumonitis and the late pulmonary fibrosis were observed in mice in the radiation group. In mice treated by GGA and radiation, HSP70 expression level of the lung tissues was higher than that in the control group or the radiation group. TNF-α mRNA level, serum TGF-β1 level, the severities of radiation pneumonitis and pulmonary fibrosis, and the content of hydroxyproline in the GGA combined with radiation group were lower than those in the radiation group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference between the GGA group and the control group for all indices. Conclusion: The expression of HSP70 in mice lung tissues induced by regular oral administration of GGA can protect against radiationinduced lung injury, which may be related to the inhibition of expressions of important inflammatory factor TNF-α and fibrosis-related factor TGF-β1.
