Objective:To observe the effect of soluble CD14 (sCD14) on the inducing activity of lipopolysaccharide(LPS) on human gingival fibroblasts(HGFs). Methods:In vitro cultured HGFs were stimulated by FITC labeled LPS at the concentration of 0 (control), 100 ng/ml, 100 ng/ml LPS+100 ?g/ml sCD14 and 100 ng/ml LPS+100 ?g/ml ENP respectively for 24 h. The binding activity of LPS to HGFs was measured in the level of mean fluorescence intensity of FITC-LPS.TNF-? and IL-6 in the culture supernatant were measured by ELISA. With the further expansion of the connotations of the quality of medical services and the establishment of the bio psycho social medical model, it has become necessary to redefine quality evaluation of medical services. The authors give their interpretation of the quality of medical services and its evaluation from several perspectives, discuss the goals of quality evaluation of medical services, and expound in a rational manner the entire process and content of quality evaluation. On the basis of this, they make a comment on previous quality evaluation units and methods and put forward the tentative idea of conducting overall quality evaluation of whole process medical services.

The rehabilitation exercise has been found to be an important part of the treatment of the senior coronary heart disease in the recent researches. The senior patients with coronary heart disease are always complicated, so the exercises should start with low intensity and increase gradually. It is important to pay attention to the warm up and relaxation before and after the exercises. There are few patients accepted rehabilitation, which need pay more attention on it to help the senior patients improve their quality of life.

ObjectiveTo search for the optimum external masking time and tonal models for patients with tinnitus.MethodsTwenty-seven patients with cochlear tinnitus were selected respectively from three different out-patients departments and divided into three groups. Nine patients in every group were treated with different masking parameters according to factorial design which had three masking noises, i.e. narrow band noise (NBN), wide band noise (WBN), speech noise (SN),and three masking time ranges, i.e. 15,30,45 minutes. The results before and after treatment were compared and analysed with analysis of variance (ANOVA). ResultsThe treatment effect when masking for 15 minutes was worse than that for 30,45 minutes, but there was no difference between 30 and 45 minutes. The NBN had the best effect when tinnitus signal was single, the WBN was effective for tinnitus with multiple sounds. ConclusionNBN or WBN masking for 30 minutes showed better therapeutic effect.

Objective To explore the content and gene expression of endothelial nitric-oxide synthase (eNOS) in heart of hyperlipidemia apoE-/- mice. Methods apoE-/- mice were fed with high fat diet as high-fat diet group (n= 7) and normal fat diet as control group (n = 6) for 12 weeks. Serum lipid profiles including total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) were detected, eNOS mRNA expression in heart were determined by Real-Time RT-PCR, as well as protein expression by immunohistochemistry. Results Levels of serum TC, TG and LDL clearly increased in high fat diet group, while HDL decreased (P< 0. 01). mRNA and protein expression of eNOS in heart reduced in high fat diet group(P<0.01). Conclusions High fat diet may lead to hyperlipidemia in apoE-/- mice, which may down-regulate eNOS expression and decrease eNOS content in heart.

Objective To analyze the reasons of the occlusal disorder after mistaken concrescence of maxillofacial fracture, to observe the effect of the physiotherapy for the masticatory movement and the masticatory efficiency after occlusal reconstruction with fixed prosthesis. Methods The reasons of occlusal disorder of 45 patients were analyzed by reviewing the case history and clinical examination. Ultrasound diathermy and laser irradiation were used to help improve masticatory movement. The fixed prosthesis was used to reconstruct the occlusal relationship. Masticatory efficiency was measured with the method of sift out before treatment, one month and one year after treatment. Results The main reason of occlusal disorder was the delay of treatment because of the other treatment of body after trauma. The physiotherapy was effective in improving the masticatory movement. Purpose:To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of combination of MabThera and CEOP regimen in the treatment of aggressive B-cell lymphoma. Methods:21 patients diagnosed as aggressive B-cell lymphoma with median age of 48 years old (from 15 to 68 years old),received the treatment of MabThera plus CEOP regimen. This treatment consisted of MabThera 375 mg/m2 intravenously infusion on day 1,cyclophosphamide 750 mg/m 2 ,epirubicin 60 mg/m 2 ,vincristine 2 mg on day3 ,prednisone 40 mg/m 2 orally taken on day 3～7. Results:In all 21 patients,16 (76.2%) complete response and 3 (14.2%) partial response were observed. Thus,the overall response rate was 90.5%. Moreover,of the remaining patients,1(4.8%) achieved stable disease and 1(4.8%) had progressive disease. In the 19 responsive patients,the follow-up duration were from 2 to 15 months. One case of thyroid lymphoma experienced recurrence after 14 months with complete response. Until now,the other responses have been maintained. Only one dose of MabThera infusion related-toxicity was observed in all who received 87 cycles. The hematological toxicities were mainly leucopenia and neutropenia. 5( 23.8% ) experienced 3-4 grade neutropenia. Only 1 patient developed neutropenia fever. The other non-hematological toxicities were 1-2 grade except grade 3 alopecia. Conclusions:The combination of MabThera and CEOP regimen had high efficacy with mild toxicity in the treatment of aggressive B-cell lymphoma,hopefully may become the standard treatment.

Objective:To develop nano-TiO_2 ceramic-coated orthodontic brackets, and to study the surface characters of ceramic film. Methods:TiO_2 nanoparticles were synthesized by the Gel-Sol method. Electron beam physical vapor deposition(e-beam PVD)technology was used to deposit the nano-TiO_2 ceramic film on the surface of the orthodontic brackets, which were manufactured by the Xinya factory, Hangzhou.The surface properties of the nano-TiO_2 ceramic film were observed with scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and X ray power diffraction(XRD).Results:The synthesized TiO_2 particles were uniform with the diameter of (6?2) nm. The TiO_2 ceramic film on the orthodontic brackets was 5~8 ?m in thickness, with smooth surface and anatase stratiform structure.Conclusions:The nano- TiO_2 ceramic film has good surface properties and actinochemistry characters without any influence on the slot size.

Objective:To transfect human osteoprotegerin( o pg) gene into Cos-7 cells.Methods:The primers were designed b ased on the human opg cDNA sequence,total mRNA was isolated from 293 cells and RT-PCR was performed.The fragment of opg cDNA was inserted into pSecTag 2/B vector and sequenced by automatic sequence analyzer. The recombined plasmid was transfected into Cos-7 cells by Lipofectamine 2000 and OPG protein expressi on in Cos-7 cells was determined by immunohistochemistry and Western blot. Results:The sequence of opg cDNA from 293 cells obtained by RT- PCR was identical to the sequence provided by GenBank [gi:33878056]. The fragm ents of the recombinant plasmid digested with Hind Ⅲ,EcoR I and BamH Ⅰ and exa mined by 10 g/L agarose electrophoresis were consistent with predicted size.OPG over-expressing Cos-7 cells was selected and confirmed by immunohistochemistry and Western blot.Conclusion:Human opg gene may be transfect ed into Cos-7 cells.
