3.Treatment of Hysteromyoma by Acupuncture-moxibustion plus Tuina: A Report of 33 Cases
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2003;1(5):52-53
Guided by TCM treatment on the basis of syndrome differentiation, the author has treated 33 cases of hysteromyoma, which are divided into stagnation of liver-qi and blood stasis (SLQBS) type, and qi-deficiency and blood stasis (QDBS) type, by acupuncture-moxibus -tion and Tuina. After 3 therapeutic courses, the total ef -fective rate is 81.8%. The therapeutic effect has no close relationship with the TCM syndrome differentiation.
4.Treatment of Hemiplegia and Joint Contracture after Apoplexy by Acupuncture plus Cupping Therapy: A Report of 52 Cases
Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2003;1(5):38-39
Objective: To study the treatment method of apoplectic joint contracture. Method: Fifty-two cases were treated with acupuncture plus cupping and thirty cases were treated with acupuncture alone as the control group. Result and conclusion: The effective rate of the former and later were 100% and 93.3% respectively, combined treatment of acupuncture and cupping was superior to acupuncture alone (P<0.05).
5.Clinical value of lactate in septic shock patients
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2017;24(7):491-494
Lactate acid is an attractive biomarker reflecting microcirculatory dysfunction and tissue hypoxia.Surviving Sepsis Campaign in 2012 recommend lactate acid as one of the practical biomarkers representingtissue hypoxiato guide management of patients of septic shock. The Third International Consensus Definitions for Sepsis and Septic Shock (Sepsis-3) in 2016 updated septic shock clinical criteria as a vasopressor requirement to maintain a mean arterial pressure of 65mmHg(1mmHg=0.133kPa) or greater and serum lactate acid level greater than 2mmol/L(>18mg/dl) in the absence of hypovolemia.Lactate acid ≥4mmol/L is often associated with poor clinical outcomes in septic shock patients.Lactate-guided therapy is becoming increasingly important in guiding the resuscitation and the use of vasoactive agents of septic shock.Lactate clearance and early lactate area are valuable indicators to predict the prognosis in patients with septic shock.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2003;1(3):61-62
Purpose To explore the feasibility of treating toothache with the acupoints in Liver Meridian. Method According to syndrome differentiation, toothache was divided into pathogenic wind-fire type and deficiency-fire type. Twenty patients were treated by needling Tai-chong (LR 3) o! the affected side. Reducing manipulation was performed for toothache due to pathogenic windfire while early-reducing-late-tonifying was performed for toothache due to deficiency-fire type. Results The pain disappearance occurred in 14 cases, improved in 5 cases and no effect in one case. Conclusion Needling Tai-chong( LR 3) was effective for toothache.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2005;3(2):59-60
Fifty-six cases of nerve root sciatica patients were treated by stuck needle method at Ashi and Jiaji points (Ex-B 2) at the waist region, Huantiao (GB 30), Zhibian (BL 54),Weizhong (BL 40), Yanglingquan (GB 34), Chengshan (BL 57) and Kunlun (BL 60) in the diseased region. 40 cases were treated as control by routine even reinforcing-reducing manipulation with above acupoints. The curative effects were 96.4% and 90.0% respectively.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2005;3(2):55-58
Purpose: To observe the therapeutic effect of plum-blossom-magnet-needle synthetic therapy on benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Method: 219 cases of BPH patients were randomly divided into two groups. There were 149 cases in treatment group, which treated by pressing, needling with plum-blossom-magnet-needle and putting effect-increasing pads on Prostate Reflex Area, bilateral Zhongliao (BL 32), Neck 1, Neck 7, Mingmen (GV 4) and Yongquan (KI 1). There were 70 cases in control group, which treated by orally taken Terazosin Hydrochloride (Gaoteling) tablets, 2 mg/time, twice a day. The therapeutic course was 4 weeks. After one therapeutic course, the therapeutic effect was evaluated. Results: The marked effect rate was 63.3% and total effective rate was 91.8%; in the control group, there were no markedly effective cases and the total effective rate was 72.7%. There was a significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: The plum-blossom-magnet-needle synthetic therapy had a significant therapeutic effect for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), so it was a safe and effective therapy for BPH.
