Objective To analyze the CT findings of heterotopic pancreas and the correlation with pathologic changes.Methods CT findings in 1 9 patients with heterotopic pancreas proven by surgery were reviewed retrospectively,14 of whom were scanned with enhanced CT.The correlation of CT findings and pathologic results were also analyzed.Results All patients had a single lesion with sized range from 0.8 to 4.7 cm and mean diameter of (2.2±0.6)cm.All lesions with homogeneous density were showed on plain scans including 7 lesions in stomach,8 in duodenum,2 in jejunum,1 in ileum and 1 beside the cardiac lymph nodes.The border of the lesions in 5 was unclear with exudative changes,mimicking acute pancreatitis.A sign of central umbilical concave was found in 2.Pathological results confirmed 14 lesions in submucosa,3 in muscular layer,1 in serosal layer and 1 in abdominal cavity.Hetero-topic pancreas presented early obvious enhancement in 9,mimicking normal pancreas,which was composed chiefly of pancreatic aci-ni.The enhanced degree of 4 lesions was lower than normal pancreas,which were composed of pancreas ductal epithelium and few pancreatic acini.No significantly enhancement was seen in 1,mimicing liomyoma,which was composed chiefly of pancreas ductal epithelium and smooth muscle hyperplasia.Conclusion Heterotopic pancreas in most cases presents characteristic submucosal disea-ses-like pattern,and different enhanced patterns of heterotopic pancreas are related with the pathologic changes.

Objective To set up a simple and accurate method for the determination of saikosaponins in Bupleurum chinense DC. by UV-Visible Spectrophotometry. Methods The content of saikosaponins was determined by UV-Visible Spectrophotometry. The absorbency was measured at 536nm. Results The calibration curves was linear within 194~1940mg/L(r=0.9996). The average recovery was 97.35%,and the RSD was 1.02%(n=9). Conclusion The method was proved to be simple, precise and reproduciable. It can be used for the quantitative determination of B upleurum chinense DC.

Objective To investigate the safety,diagnostic value and clinical impact of double balloon enteroscope (DBE) in elderly patients (aged ≥75 years).Methods Clinical data and DBE findings of elderly patients in the Department of Gastroenterology in Remin Hospital of Wuhan University from January 2010 to January 2013 were retrospectively analyzed and compared with those of younger patients.Results The diagnostic rate,complication rate and clinical impact rate were 69.0％ (29/42),0％ (0/42) and 76.2％ (32/42) in elderly patients.There were no statistically significant differences on those parameters between elderly patients and younger patients (all P＞0.05).For elderly patients,the leading causes of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding (OGIB) were tumor (30.0 ％,9/30) and ulcer (16.7 ％,5/30),while angiectasis (6.7 ％,2/30) was uncommon.Conclusions DBE is an effective and safe method for diagnosis of small bowel disease in elderly patients.Tumor is the most common cause of OGIB,while angiectasis was uncommon.

Objective To assess the value of double balloon enteroscopy (DBE) in etiological diagnosis of small bowel ulcer.Methods The clinical and endoscopic data of patients undergoing DBE at the Department of Gastroenterology, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from January 2010 to January 2016 were reviewed.For patients with small bowel ulcer revealed by DBE, the etiologic diagnosis was retrospectively analyzed.Results One hundred and three patients with small bowel ulcer were included in the analysis.The initial diagnosis based on morphology of ulcer was Crohn's disease (58.3%, 60/103), intestinal tuberculosis (18.4%,19/103), etiology unknown (24.3%, 25/103).The final diagnosis comprehensively based on pathology, clinical data and disease outcome was Crohn's disease (44.7%,46/103), intestinal tuberculosis (18.4%,19/103), lymphoma (3.8%,4/103), eosinophils enteritis (1.9%,2/103), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug enteritis (1.9%,2/103), adenocarcinoma (1.0%,1/103), stroma tumor (1.0%,1/103),ischemic enteritis (1.0%,1/103), vascular malformation (1.0%,1/103), Henoch-Schonlein purpura (1.0%,1/103), etiology unknown (24.3,25/103).The accurate diagnosis rate and misdiagnosis rate for Crohn's disease by DBE were 73.3%(44/60)and 10.0%(6/60).The accurate diagnosis rate and misdiagnosis rate for intestinal tuberculosis by DBE were 14/18 and 2/18.Conclusion There are diversity and complexity in etiologic diagnosis of small bowel ulcer.The diagnosis should be based on the comprehensive analysis of morphology of ulcer, endoscopic and surgical pathology and clinical data.Follow up of small bowel ulcer by DBE may provide important information for etiologic diagnosis.

Benzoic acid was determined by HPLC. Chromatographic conditions concluded YMC-Pack ODS-A(5?m,150?4.6mm)column and the mobile phase consisting a mixture of MeOH - 0.05mol?L - 1KH2PO4 - HAC - isopropanol (85:155:4:6). Benzoic acid was detected at 230nm wavelength.Results The calibration curves of Benzoic acid were in good linearity over the range of 0.1~2g(r=1.0000). The average recovery of Benzoic acid was 101.12(n=9,RSD=2.49). Conclusion This method is simple and can be easily repeated.

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of detecting serum DJ-1 protein combined with CA125 for epi?thelial ovarian tumors. Methods Double antibody sandwich method and electrochemiluminescence immunoassay were used to determine the serum levels of DJ-1 protein and CA125 in 82 cases of epithelial ovarian tumors and 80 non-ovarian tumor cases (control group). The clinical significance of detecting serum DJ-1 protein combined with CA125 was analyzed. Results The expression levels of DJ-1 and CA125 were significantly higher in ovarian tumor group than those in the con?trol group (P<0.05). The critical value of serum DJ-1 was 6.800μg/L and 6.965μg/L in ovarian cancer group compared with the control group and non-ovarian tumor group. The sensitivity of combined detection of DJ-1 and CA125 was higher than that of any marker alone. Conclusion The detecting serum levels of DJ-1 combined with CA125 are helpful to the diagnosis of ovarian cancer, which can be a good marker of ovarian cancer and may improve the early diagnosis rate of ovarian cancer.

Objective To investigate the feasibility and application value of total enteroscopy with double balloon enteroscopy(DBE)for diagnosis and treatment of patients with obscure gastrointestinal bleeding(OGIB). Methods The clinical and endoscopic data of patients underwent DBE for OGIB in the Department of Gastroenterology,Remin Hospital of Wuhan University from January 2010 to December 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Total enteroscopy was indicated in 36.3%(136/375)of patients. The success rate was 86.0%(117/136)and complication rate was 1.5%(2/136). Negative findings,non-small bowel lesions and small bowel lesions were detected in 44.4%(52/117), 6.8%(8/117), and 48.7%(57/117)of patients with total enteroscopy. Re-bleeding occurred in 8.9%(4/45)of patients with negative total enteroscopy,while 1 small bowel mesenchymoma and 1 gastric fundus Dieulafoy′s lesion were revealed subsequently. Re-bleeding occurred in 33.3%(5/15)of patients with incomplete enteroscopy,and 1 small bowel polyp and 1 small bowel angiectasis were revealed subsequently. Conclusion DBE can complete total enteroscopy within one day and provide important clinical information of OGIB. Non-small bowel lesions,small bowel lesion missed by DBE and potential bleeding lesions in small bowel beyond the reach of DBE should be considered in patients with negative enteroscopy.

Objective:To construct a diabetic foot classification prediction model based on radiomics features of fundus photographs.Methods:A total of 2 035 fundus photographs of patients with type 2 diabetes diagnosed at Nanfang Hospital between December 2011 and December 2018 were retrospectively collected [282 photographs from patients with diabetic foot(DF), and 1 753 from patients with diabetes mellitus(DM)]. All fundus photographs were randomly divided into a training set(1 424 photos) and a test set(611 photos) using a computer generated random number at 7∶3. After pre-processing the fundus photographs, a total of 4 128 texture features based on the gray matrix were extracted by the Radiomic toolkit, and 11 339 other features were extracted using the ToolboxDESC toolkit. The LASSO algorithm was used to select the 30 features most relevant to DF, and then the Bootstrap + 0.632 self-sampling method was used to further select the 7 best combinations. Logistic regression analysis was used to obtain the regression coefficients and establish the final diabetic foot classification prediction model. ROC curve was drawn, and AUC, sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the training and test sets were calculated to verify its prediction performance. Results:We screened 7 fundus radiomics markers for diabetic foot patients, and based on this established a DF/DM classification prediction model. The AUC, sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the model were 0.958 6, 0.984 0, 0.920 0, and 0.928 0 in the training set, and 0.927 1, 0.988 9, 0.881 0, and 0.896 9 in the test set, respectively.Conclusion:In this study, seven DF fundus markers were screened using radiomics technology. Based on this, a highly accurate and easy-to-use DF/DM classification model was constructed. This technology has the potential to increase the efficiency of DF screening programs.

Objective: To investigate whether rapid weight gain in the first year of life was associated with incidence of overweight and higher blood pressure in small for gestational age (SGA) and appropriate for gestational age (AGA) infants at preschool age. Methods: From March 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, a total of 12 150 children aged six years from 50 municipal kindergartens in Tianjin were enrolled in a cross-sectional survey. Their body weight, height and blood pressure were measured. Body length and weight at birth and one year of age were retrospectively collected. Rapid catch-up growth was defined as the difference of weight-for-height Z-score between one year old and at birth >0.67. The relationship between rapid growth with overweight and blood pressure in SGA and AGA infants at preschool age were analyzed using t test, analysis of variance and Chi-square test. Results: At the age of six, children with rapid growth had a higher rate of overweight [28.6% (2 095/7 328) vs 17.5% (842/4 822), t=196.457, P<0.001], and higher systolic blood pressure [(99.4±10.0) vs (98.4±10.1) mmHg (1 mmHg=0.133 kPa), t=29.260, P<0.001] and diastolic blood pressure [(60.0±7.7) vs (59.4±7.8) mmHg, t=16.079, P<0.001] compared with children without rapid growth. SGA children with rapid growth had higher body weight [(21.5±4.4) vs (19.2±3.7) kg, t=3.747, P<0.001], height [(117.4±5.5) vs (114.8±5.4) cm, t=3.557, P<0.001] and systolic blood pressure [(98.4±9.9) vs (95.6±11.2) mmHg, t=2.080, P=0.038] compared with those without. Comparing to AGA children, SGA children had lower overweight rate [17.5% (144/824) vs 24.7% (2 793/11 326), t=21.630, P<0.001] and systolic blood pressure [(98.2±10.0) vs (99.0±10.1) mmHg, t=2.431, P=0.015]. Among the AGA children with rapid growth, 29.8% (1 958/6 564) were overweight. Conclusions Rapid growth in infancy is associated with overweight and higher systolic blood pressure at preschool age. A proper weight gain should be emphasized for both SGA and AGA infants.
