Objective To investigate the clinical value and safety of thoracoscopic lung biopsy in the diagnosis of diffuse parenchymal lung diseases. Methods 35 patients with diffuse parenchymal lung disease underwent thoraco-scopic lung biopsy were reviewed in order to obtain clinical and pathological data. Results 31 cases were diagnosed by pathology, and the total positive diagnostic rate was 88.6 % (31/35), 10 cases as usual interstitial pneumonial (UIP), 6 cases as Tuberculosis, 4 cases as alveolar cell carcinoma, 3 cases as nonspecific interstitial pneumonia (NSIP), 3 cases as crypto-genieorganizingpneumonia (COP), 2 cases as pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (PAP), 1 case as Wegener's granulomatosis (WG), 1 case as acute interstitial pneumonia (AIP), 1 case as lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). 3 cases (8.6 %) were occurred with postoperative complications, 2 cases as pulmonary infection combined with respiratory failure, 1 case as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis with acute exacerbation, and 2 cases (5.7 %) were complicated with death. Conclusions Thoracoscopic lung biopsy is a safe and effective method which helps final di-agnosis of diffuse parenchymal lung disease.

Objective The expression of TNF-α was detected in sera of rabbits treated by ulinastatin with acute lung injury in duced by underwater explosion. Methods Rabbits were randomly divided into two groups such as the injured group and ulinastatin therapy group.Established underwater explosion device was used to cause acute lung injury in rabbits.TNF-α in sera of the rabbits were measured by ELISA at 4,12 and 24 hours after the explosion. The SPSS17.0 software was used to analyze the data and P<0.05 was considered to be significant. Results There was no significant difference between the concentrations of TNF-α in the sera of rabbits in the injure group (538.20±201.43 ng/L) and that of in the ulinastatin group (386.90± 109.22 ng/L,t=2.088,P=0.051) at 4 hours after burst. However, there was evidently decreased in the level of TNF-α in the ulinastatin group (400.60 ± 78.98 ng/L) compared with the injury group (573.80 ± 178.24 ng/L,t =2.809,P =0.012) at 12 hours after burst. Moreover and TNF-α in the ulinastatin group (356.10 ± 130.99 ng/L) was also decreased compared to the injure group (552.30± 169.64 ng/L,t=2.895,P=0.010) at 24 hours after burst. Conclusion The TNF-α expression in sera of the rabbits in ulinastatin group were dramatically decreased than thai of in injury group at 12 hours after burst, which may be benefit to rabbits with acute lung injury induced by underwater explosion.

Aim To investigate the effect of Ding''s herb enema prescription on intestinal tissue related target in rat colitis induced by dextran sulfate sodium(DSS), and to elucidate the mechanism of Ding''s herb enema prescription in improving the intestinal inflammation and intestinal fibrosis. Methods Rats were fed with 3.5% DSS.The rats were randomly divided into positive drug group, model group, Control group, and Ding''s herb enema prescription group. The positive drug group was treated with mesalazine enema, and Ding''s herb enema prescription group was treated with Ding''s herb enema prescription. The colon mucosa was taken once a day for 6 weeks. The changes of intestinal inflammatory response and intestinal fibrosis related proteins were detected by GSR-CAA-67 antibody protein array, and the differentially expressed proteins were screened out. Results Eight proteins showed statistical differences, including IFN-γ, erythropoietin(EPO), TIMP-2, TIM-1, IL-6, TIMP-1, TNF-α, IL-22 (P<0.05).On the other hand, Ding''s herb enema prescription and mesalazine significantly antagonized the effect of IL-6 and TIMP-1 (P<0.05).The antagonized effect of Ding''s embolization enema on TNF-α and IL-22 was also significant(P<0.05), but mesalazine had no similar effect (P>0.05).Conclusions Ding''s herb enema prescription has the effect of multiple targets, which may improve the intestinal inflammatory response and intestinal fibrosis to achieve the purpose of treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC).

Behavioral adjustment plays an important role in the treatment and relapse of drug addiction. Nonetheless, few studies have examined behavioral adjustment and its plasticity following error commission in methamphetamine (METH) dependence, which is detrimental to human health. Thus, we investigated the behavioral adjustment performance following error commission in long-term METH addicts and how it varied with the application of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) of the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC). Twenty-nine male long-term METH addicts (for > 3 years) were randomly assigned to high-frequency (10 Hz, n = 15) or sham (n = 14) rTMS of the left DLPFC during a two-choice oddball task. Twenty-six age-matched, healthy male adults participated in the two-choice oddball task pretest to establish normal performance for comparison. The results showed that 10 Hz rTMS over the left DLPFC significantly decreased the post-error slowing effect in response times of METH addicts. In addition, the 10 Hz rTMS intervention remarkably reduced the reaction times during post-error trials but not post-correct trials. While the 10 Hz rTMS group showed a more pronounced post-error slowing effect than the healthy participants during the pretest, the post-error slowing effect in the posttest of this sample was similar to that in the healthy participants. These results suggest that high-frequency rTMS over the left DLPFC is a useful protocol for the improvement of behavioral adjustment after error commission in long-term METH addicts.
