Objective To study the relationship between serum MMP-9,Gal-3,TGF-β1 and lung function in children with bronchial asthma.Methods The serum levels of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9),serum galectin-3 (MMP-9),serum metalloproteinase-3 (MMP 9) and serum albumin were measured in 218 pediatric children between March 1,2012 and August 31,2016 in Shenzhen Longhua New District People's Hospital pediatric outpatient clinic.FEV1％,FEV1/FVC and FEF50 were measured and compared respectively with the index data of the control group.The lung function of the children was significantly higher than that of the control group (P＜0.05).Mild group and severe group children above.Results Serum levels measured in 218 children (F=35.34,46.51,56.73,all P＜0.05).The data of any two groups also showed statistical difference after q test,and the difference was statistically significant (FEV1 ％),1-second forced expiratory volume/forced vital capacity percentage (FEV1/FVC),forced expiratory 50％ (FEF50) of the first-second forced expiratory volume/forced expiratory volume of 1 second (F=78.13,52.69,26.24,all P＜0.05).After the q test,the data of any two groups were analyzed by ANOVA.Between the data were also statistically significant differences.Conclusion MM-9,Gal-3 and TGFβ1 in bronchoalveolar lavage and the degree of pulmonary function decline have close ties.

Objective To analysis the levels of serum homocysteine (Hcy)and erythropoietin (EPO)levels in patients with ischemic stroke and their relationship with carotid atherosclerosis.Methods The patients with ischemic stroke admitted be-tween January 1,2013 and July 31,2016 were selected as the subjects.Sera test of Hcy,EPO level,and then through the Doppler probe carotid artery method to check the degree of carotid atherosclerosis in all patients,and the use of quantitative records,according to set diagnostic criteria for classification,the use of grading results with the same type of Hcy,EPO lev-els of data analysis to determine the relationship between the two.Results Doppler exploration in 142 patients showed nor-mal carotid intima-media thickness in 34 patients,carotid intima-media thickening in 56 patients,and carotid plaques in 52 pa-tients.After analysis of variance (F=59.64,78.29,P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant.The data between any two groups were also statistically significant differences.108 patients with different levels of carotid atherosclerosis were graded into 47 of grade 1,34 of grade 2,and 27 of grade 3,with the same type in the plasma of different grades (F=78.39,48.61, P<0.05).After the qtest,there were no significant differences in the levels of Hcy and EPO.Data were also statistically dif-ferent between groups.Conclusion Serum homocysteine (Hcy)and erythropoietin (EPO)were associated with ischemic stroke and were associated with carotid atherosclerosis.

Objective:To assess the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture for subhealth insomnia.Methods:Eighty-two cases of subhealth insomnia were randomly divided into an observation group (41 cases) and a control group (41 cases).The control group was treated with conventional acupuncture.The observation group was treated with Bo's abdominal acupuncture on the basis of conventional acupuncture.Six treatments constituted one treatment course.The measuring scale of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome for subhealth state (MSSSHS) and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) scores were compared between the two groups after two courses,to estimate the efficacy of abdominal acupuncture for subhealth insomnia.Results:One case dropped out from the observation group,while 2 cases dropped out from the control group.The MSSSHS score and PSQI score both declined after the treatment in the two groups (all P＜0.05).The MSSSHS and PSQI scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (both P＜0.05).Conclusion:The abdominal acupuncture is effective for subhealth insomnia,and it can enhance the effect of conventional acupuncture.

Objective A HPLC method was established for determination of the content of ATST in the aqueous humor of rabbits. MethodsThe mobile phase was consisting of methanol-1％ triethylamine(57:43) and omeprazole (OMZ) as internal standard. The detection was carried out with an ultraviolet detector operated at 235nm. ResultsThere was linearity over the range of 2. 056～41.12 ug/ml in the humor aquosus, r=0.9997. The average recovery of ATST was 94.58 ％. Intra-day and in- ter-day RSD were less than 5 ％ and 10 ％ ( n = 5), respectively. Conclusion The method is reliable. It can be used for the study on the pharmacokinetics of ATST.

ObjectiveTo compare the clinical characteristic and postoperative histopathological parameters in different prostate size and to assess the effect of prostate volume on histopathological outcomes in patients after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. MethodsTwo hundred and sixteen patients from 2006 to 2011 who were proved prostatic carcinoma by biopsy and performed laparoscopic radical prostatectomy wewe retrospectively evaluated.All patients were divided into the small group ( ＜ 30 ml,103 cases),intermediate group(30 -60 ml,71 cases) and large group ( ＞60 ml,42 cases) according to prostate volume.Clinical variables included age,body mass index (BMI),preoperative PSA level,prostate volume,percentage of positive needles,clinical stage,and biopsy Gleason score (GS).Histopathological parameters included pathological GS,upgrading or not compared to biopsy GS,pathological stage and surgical margins status.Preoperative clinical variables and postoperative histopatholgogical parameters were compared among the 3 prostate groups. ResultsPatients with smaller prostates had lower PSA levels than those with intermediate and larger prostates (P =0.000).They also had worse histopathological outcomes such as pathological GS ( P =0.034 ),upgrading of GS ( P =0.037 ),and pathological stage ( P =0.025 ).35.0％ of patients in smaller prostate group had a positive surgical margin compare to 33.8％ and 19.0％ in intermediate and larger prostate groups,but there was no significant difference (P =0.152).ConclusionMen with smaller prostate may have more high-grade cancer and more advanced disease after laparoscopic radical prostatectomy.

Objective To study the anti-tumor effect of 5-aza-2′-deoxycytidine(5-aza-dC) on breast carcinoma xenografted in nude mice. Methods The model of breast carcinoma xenografted in nude mice was established.Ten mice were randomized into the treatment group(treated with 5-aza-dC) and control group(treated with PBS).The mass of the tumors before and after treatment were measured in the two groups,and the inhibition rate of the tumor was calculated and the growth curve was drawn.Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting were employed to detect the expression of normal epithelial cell specific-1(NES1)gene. Objective To observe the influence of environment stimulation on learning and memory ability and hippocampal pathology of neonatal rats with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (HIBD).Methods The models of HIBD SD rats were established by the method of Rice, and were divided randomly into three groups: enriched environment stimulation group (EE), impoverished environment stimulation group (IE), and standard environment stimulation group (SE). The sham-operation rats were served as control group. Different environment stimulation was administrated to the rats since day 1 after HIBD.On the day 28,Morris water maze was used to evaluate the learning and memory ability. HE staining and nissl stain were employed to observe the pathological change and the number of neurons in hippocampus of rats.Results The learning and memory ability of EE group was significantly higher than that of SE group (P0.05), and the ability of SE group was higher than that of IE group ( P0.05). Objective To study the techniques of the treatment for epidermoid with endoscope-as- sisted microneurosurgery.Methods The suboccipital,infratemporal transtentorial approach and endoscope- assisted microneurosurgery were used.Results Total resection was achieved in 10 cases,and subtotal resec- tion was made only in 2, and had no complications of all.Conclusion Endoscope-assisted microneuro- surgery can increase the total-resection rate for tumors,and reduce complications.

Objective To assess the technical feasibility and efficacy of the combined application of a flexible,self-expanding neurovascular stent(Neuroform)and Gugliebni detachable coils(GDC)in the management of wide-necked intracranial aneurysms in humans.Methods Sixty-five wide-necked aneurysms which underwent 65 endovascular procedures were performed by using intracranial stent and GDC.There was a total of 30 aneurysms at basilar artery including 16 at the basilar tip,9 at the basilar trunk and 5 at the beginning of the basilar artery.And there were 30 aneurysms located at the posterior communicating artery, and 5 aneurysms located at the vertebral artery.The Neuroform stents were deployed to cover the neck of aneurysms.Another microcatheter was introduced into the aneurysm sac through the stent interstices and then detachable coils were released to embolize the aneurysms.Results The combined procedures were successful in all of the 65 patients with wide-necked aneurysms.The stent could pass smoothly through the intracranial artery and got released.Complete occlusion was achieved in 60 patients and incomplete occlusion in 5 patients.In-stent thrombosis occurred in 2 patients.All patients recovered well.Forty-two patients had followe-up angiography at 3 to 6 months after the procedure.Among them,no filling was found for the 39 aneurysms which were densely packed,and 3 aneurysms had neck remnant.Conclusion The implantation of Neuroform stent as a complimentary device to GDC coiling is easy and safe for embolization of wide-necked intracranial aneurysms.It has great advantage for treatment of wide-necked intracranial aneurysms.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the value of MRI diffusion weighted imaging in localization of prostate cancer with whole-mount step section pathology.MethodsWe treated 36 patients using laparoscopic radical prostatectomy from Oct. 2009 to Jun. 2010. Patients who did not have an MRI/DWI examination or a surgical history of prostate and previous hormonal therapy were excluded, leaving 19 patients in our study. We analyzed the MRI and DWI collected before radical prostetectomy surgey and the post-surgery step section pathology made by the whole mount technique. The prostatic gland was divided into six sections. Two doctors read the MRI/DWI without knowing the patients' information and scored, using a 5 point scale, for each section. The tissue was graded according to the following scale: 1-definitely no cancer, 2-probably no cancer, 3-possible cancer, 4-probable cancer and 5-definite cancer. When the average score ≥4 the region was assumed to be the prostate cancer region by MRI or MRI/DWI.ResultsIn 19 patients with 114 regions, there were 48 (42％) prostate cancer regions approved by whole-mount step section pathologically.The number of prostate cancer regions was 15 (39％), 21 (55％) and 12 (32％) in base, mid and apex parts respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of the MRI was 62.5％ and 69.7％. When considering DWI, the specificity and sensitivity was elevated to 79.1％ and 83.3％. As for the apex and mid parts, the sensitivities of MRI were a little bit low (46.7％ and 66.7％ ). But the sensitivities of localization of prostate cancer for the apex and mid of prostate were elevate to 73.3％ and 85.7％ respectively when DWI was also used.ConclusionsWith whole-mount step-section pathology, the combination of MRI and DWI can improve the sensitivity of MRI for localized diagnosis in prostate cancer, especially in apex and mid parts of the prostate.
