Objective To study the effect of tiotropium on urination disorder in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods In our prospective pilot study,96 BPH patients with COPD patients were enrolled as the treatment group and another 25 similar cases as the control group:In the former group tiotropium was administered and the control group was not.The two groups were compared in terms of the score by the international Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),the quality of life by QOL,maximum flow rate (Q-max),average flow rate (Q-ave),time to Q-max (TTQ-Max),prostate volume (PVR) and bladder voiding efficiency (BVE) after six months treatment. Results As compared to the control, after six months treatment, such indexes in the treatment group as IPSS (15.1 ± 4.1,16.3 ± 3.4 and 14.7 ± 3.1,P =0.864),QOL(3.9 ± 0.8,4.0± 0.8 and 4.0 ± 0.9,P =0.992),Q-Max(ml/s) (8.5 ± 2.9,10.9 ± 2.2 and 9.0 ± 2.4,P =0.214),Q-ave(ml/s) (3.9 ±1.2,5.0 ± 1.4 and 3.8 ± 0.9,P =0.054),TTQ-Max(s) (11.1 ± 5.6,11.2 ± 4.0 and 10.4 ± 5.1,P =0.424),PVR(mL)(56.8 ± 33.3,62.3 ± 30.5 and 57.4 ± 29.5,P =0.981),BVE(%) (75.6 ± 13.8,72.7 ± 10.5 and 74.3 ± 12.1,P =0.992).showed no significant differences. Conclusion Tiotropium does not adversely affect lower urinary tract functions in BPH patients with COPD.

Objective: To observe the effect of Liuwei Dihuang decoction on brain development of intrauterine growth retardation rats, and to demonstrate the relationship between brain and kidney in TCM.Methods: Animals were divided into 4 groups at random: normal group, model group,Huangqi(HQ) and Liuwei Dihuang(LD) treated groups. The IUGR model was established by passive smoking. On the 19th day of pregnancy, all rats were killed;the total numbers of embryos, the lively, dead and absorbed embryos were counted. The body and brain weight of lively embryos were scaled respectively, then microstructure and apoptosis in brain were observed. Results: Passive smoking can result in the number of dead and absorbed embryos increases.Compared with normal group, the number of apoptotic cells of model group increased.Compared with model group,in Huangqi and Liuwei Dihuang treated groups, the number of dead and absorbed embryos decreased apparently, body and brain weight increased obviously, the number of apoptotic cells reduced significantly(P

E2F transcription factor 1 (E2F1) is a major member of the E2F transcription factor family and participates in a wide range of physiological regulatory processes, such as cell cycle, survival, apoptosis, and metabolism. It is proved that the activity of E2F1 is related to the G1/S phase regulation of the cell cycle dependent on tumor suppressor retinoblastoma protein (RB). Recent studies have shown that E2F1 is highly expressed in prostate cancer cells, manifested as an oncogene, and its expression level is closely related to the occurrence, development, and poor clinical prognosis of prostate cancer. Androgen receptor (AR) is the main driving factor for the growth and progression of prostate cancer, and the changes of AR pathway play a key role in the pathological progression of prostate cancer. This article provide a systematic and comprehensive summary on recently published articles to review the role of the E2F1 pathway in prostate cancer.

Objective:To optimize the extraction technology of Fufang Jinsha Lidan granule. Methods:According to the properties of traditional Chinese medicines in the formula, orthogonal experiments were used to optimize the extraction process of Fufang Jinsha Li-dan granule. The volume of water, boiling time and boiling frequency were used as the three influencing factors with three different lev-els in the orthogonal experiments. Moreover, the content of paeoniflorin and the yield of extract were chosen as the evaluation indices. The orthogonal experiments were carried out according to the L9 (34 ) orthogonal table. Results:The optimal extraction process of Fu-fang Jinsha Lidan granule was as follows:boiled twice, and one hour per time with 12-fold amount of water ( soaked for 30 min with 14-fold amount of water for the first extraction process) . Conclusion:The extraction process has such properties as high extraction rate, stability, simple operation, high yield of extract and controllable quality, which is worthy of wide application.

With the deepening of research in recent years, tumor metabolic reprogramming has gradually become the focus of research, and targeting tumor cell metabolism has also become a new means of tumor therapy. The metabolic process affects almost all the physiological processes of the organism, and lipid metabolism is an important part of the metabolic process. Studies have shown that changes in lipid uptake, storage and fatty acid synthesis and decomposition have occurred in a variety of tumors. Abnormal lipid metabolism will promote the rapid proliferation of tumors. Abnormal expression of a variety of key metabolic enzymes in the process of lipid metabolism is the key to tumor progression. The purpose of this paper is to explain the metabolic regulation of lipid metabolism and related metabolic enzymes in hematological tumors, and to provide ideas for the treatment of hematological tumors.

Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) is an important regulatory factor of cell proliferation and metastasis, involved in the occurrence and development of a variety of malignant tumors, and it is one of the hot spots in the research of targeted anti-tumor drugs. Our group screened a novel benzobis (imidazole) structure small molecule compound LZJ541 through the screening model of Janus kinase (JAK)/STAT3 pathway inhibitors, which has definite STAT3 inhibitory activity. We examined the effect of LZJ541 on the proliferation of HepG2 and PC-3 cells by MTT assay
