1.THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HLA-DRBI*07 ALLELES AND SUSCEPTIBILITY TO HBV IN THE HAN NATIONALITY IN GUANGDONG PROVINCE
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
To study the relationship between HLA DRB1*07 and the susceptibility to HBV in the Han nationality in Guangdong Province. 100 chronic HBV carrier individuals, 21 HBV spontaneously cleared individuals and 70 HBV unexposed individuals all of Han nationality in Guangdong Province were entered in this study. The expression of HLA DRB1*07 alleles were detected by polymerase chain reaction sequence specific primer, and IFN ? and IL 4 levels in plasma of HBV chronic carrier individuals were measured by using ELISA kits. The results showed that the positive rate of HLA DRB1*07 in chronic HBV carriers was 30%, which was markedly higher than that in HBV spontaneously cleared individuals(4 76%) and HBV unexposed individuals (8 5%) as well ( P
2.Pro-prostate-specific antigen and its related indexes in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(7):655-658
Pro-prostate-specific antigen (proPSA) is the precursor of PSA and a form of free PSA (fPSA). In recent years, a lot of studies have been done on proPSA, the roles of its related indexes in the diagnosis of prostate cancer, and the value of its clinical application. The correlated indexes of proPSA include proPSA, % pPSA, p2PSA, % p2PSA and prostate health index (PHI). They are more effective than total PSA (tPSA) and fPSA in the diagnosis of prostate cancer, especially % p2PSA and PHI, which may significantly increase our ability to detect and identify PCa and lower the rate of unnecessary biopsies. This article presents an overview on the advances in the studies of proPSA and the application of its related indexes in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(5):487-490
The painless needle insertion technique, summarized by Professor WU Lian-zhong during his decades of acupuncture clinical practice is introduced in this article, which is characterized as soft, flexible, fast, plucking and activating antipathogenic qi. The Sancai (three layers) lifting and thrusting manipulation technique is adopted by Professor WU for getting the qi sensation. And features of 10 kinds of needling sensation such as soreness, numbness, heaviness, distension, pain, cold, hot, radiation, jumping and contracture are summarized. Finger force, amplitude, speed and time length are also taken as the basis of reinforcing and reducing manipulations. Moreover, examples are also given to explain the needling technique on some specific points which further embodies Professor WU's unique experiences and understandings on acupuncture.

4.Care Transitions in Complex Patients
The Singapore Family Physician 2016;42(4):27-33
Healthcare delivery is transforming from hospital-centric episodic care to a more patient-centric comprehensive and continuing care that caters to the changing needs of an ageing population and finite healthcare resources. The transition period during which patients move between healthcare settings is a period of vulnerability that requires well-executed care transitions. The relatively less-developed primary, intermediate and long-term care sector further underlines the importance of good transitional care. This article serves to introduce Family Physicians to the importance of transitional care, its broad concepts and a simple framework to help manage complex patients comprehensively in any Family Medicine practice setting.
5.EXTRACTION AND STRUCTURAL STUDY OF SCHIZOPHYLLAN FROM SCHIZOPHYLLUM COMMUNE BY SUBMERGED CULTIVATION
Microbiology 1992;0(05):-
The extraction method and structure of exo-polysoccharide from schizophyllum commune by submerged cultivation were studied. Proteins were removed com p letely from the polysoccharide by the sevag method following the isoelectric poi nt precipitation method. The purified schizophyllan was proved to be homogeneou s with molecular weight 4?10 4D by sephadex G-200 column chromatography, PAGE and HPLC. Its monomer was determined by hydrolysis, PC, GC and its structure wa s analyzed by IR, enzymolysis, periodate oxidation, the results showed that schi zophyllan was only composed of glucose and it was the ?-glucan consisting of ?-(1-3) and ?-(1-6) glucosidic linkages.
6.Effect of Different Media on MPN Estimation of Ammonia-oxidizing Bacteria in Lakes
Shan-Lian QIU ; Yi-Yong ZHOU ;
Microbiology 2008;0(10):-
The MPN method was used to enumerate ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) in water and sediments of several shallow lakes. The suitable incubation time, medium types and substrate (ammonium sulphate) concentrations were studied. The results showed that, MPN values increased with the incubation time, reaching a stable maximum at some time stages, which was 40 days in all the samples for MSF medium. Among the three media used (XZ-AOB、MSF、SW), MSF give the highest MPN value. In addition, am- monium sulphate concentration in medium was an important factor affecting MPN estimation of AOB. Compared to AOB in lake sediments, AOB in lake water was more sensitive to ammonium sulphate concentration.

Objective To investigate the changes of body composition in the children with acute leukemia during different treatment stages. Methods From January 2009 to April 2010,56 children with acute leukemia hospitalized in Shanghai Children's Medical Center for chemotherapy were enrolled.Meanwhile,56 healthy children with matched age and sex were enrolled as the control group. The body compositions of children in the control group and the children with acute leukemia at the end of the first course of each treatment stages ware detected by segmental multiple-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis. The distribution of body compositions was recorded asthe percentage of each body composition to the body weighL Results Among 56 children with acute leukemia,41were with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and 15 with acute nonlymphoblasdc leukemia.Twenty-three cases were in remission-induction chemotherapy stage,15 in consolidation chemotherapy stage, and 18 in maintenance chemotherapy stage.Compared with children in the control group, children with acute leukemia showed a reduction in the percentage of intracellular fluid (P = 0.000), extracellular fluid (P - 0.005), protein (P = 0.000), mineral (P = 0.001), skeletal muscle mass (P = 0.000), body cell mass (P = 0.000), and active cell mass (P = 0.000), while an increase in body fat mass [(26.2 ± 8.3)% vs.(20.3±3.8)%, P=0.000].The body weight (P = 0.001), the percentage of intracellular fluid (P = 0.005), protein (P = 0.004), body cell mass (P = 0.001), and active cell mass ( P = 0.020 ) in the children during remission-induction chemotherapy stage were significantly lower than those of the healthy children. However, the parameters of the consolidation chemotherapy stage were significantly lower than those of the control group, including the percentage of intracellular fluid (P = 0.000), extracellular fluid (P =0.000), protein (P = 0.000), mineral (P =0.001), body fat mass (P =0.000), non-fat mass (P = 0.000), skeletal muscle mass (P = 0.000), body cell mass (P = 0.000), and active cell mass (P = 0.000).Most body compositions in the maintenance chemotherapy stage were lower than those of the healthy children ( P < 0.05) except for body mass index (P = 0.127) and the percentage of extracellular fluid (P = 0.097).Conclusions Body compositions remarkably change in children with acute leukemia after chemotherapy. Therefore, the nutritional status of children with acute leukemia should be closely monitored, and proper nutritional support should be provided when necessary to improve the prognosis.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2014;39(1):3-4
Clinical re-evaluation is to verify the drug's safety and effectiveness again, while the drug itself has not been improved. However, due to the complexity of traditional Chinese medicine, ingredients in bulk drugs, prescription, productive processes, quality standards and other aspects need to be enhanced. So improving the quality, safety and effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine by clinical re-evaluation is also very necessary. Therefore, except for achieving those basic requirements of medicine, it should also be improved on itself and pay full attention to the particularity, then traditional Chinese medicine's clinical re-evaluation will play its due role.
