Objective To translate Parents' Perception of Uncertainty Scale (PPUS) into Chinese, analyze and selected items, and then test the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of PPUS initially. Methods 210 parents of hospitalized children were recruited for the investigation.Frequency analysis, dispersion degree analysis, correlation analysis and so on were applied to analyze and select items.Internal consistency test,Pearson correlation analysis and exploratory factor analysis etc.were applied to test reliability and validity of the scale. Results The final Chinese version of PPUS contained 28 items. The Cronbach α and parity split-half reliability coefficients were 0.844 and 0.835; The Cronbach α coefficient of 4 dimensions ranged from 0.537 to 0.770.The item-total scale correlation coefficient ranged from 0.300 to 0.737.Item-dimension correlation coefficients ranged from 0.376 to 0.762.Item-other dimension correlation coefficients ranged from 0.028 to 0.514.Dimension-total scale correlation coefficients ranged from 0.480 to 0.863 and those between dimensions ranged from 0.226 to 0.536.In the content validity assessed by experts,I-CVI ranged from 0.75 to 1.00,S-CVI/Ave was 0.928.Four-factor model was performed in the principal component analysis and they explained for 41.401% variances. The maximum factor loading of all items were higher than 0.3,and most of items had adequate loadings in related dimensions. Conclusions Chinese version of PPUS had appropriate reliability and validity as an assessment tool for parental uncertainty in illness of hospitalized children' parents.

Objectives To investigate the role of angiogenic T cells (Tang) and endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. To explore the relationship between Tang and EPC. Methods From Mar 2013 to Aug 2014, 40 patients diagnosed preeclampsia (PE) and delivered in Hunan Provincial People′s Hospital. A total of 20 of them were defined as the mild preeclampsia group and the other 20 cases were recruited as the severe preeclampsia group. And 24 healthy pregnant women wererecruited as the control group. The percentage of Tang and EPC in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were determinated by flow cytometry between 28 and 40 gestational weeks. Results (1) There was no significant difference in the age, pre-pregnancy body mass index(Pre-BMI) or gestational age among the three groups (P>0.05). The differences of blood pressure among the three groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). The gestational week at delivery, the birthweight of the neonates and the 1 minute Apgar score in the severe preeclampsia group were lower than those in the mild preeclampsia group and the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The morbidity of neonatal asphyxia in the severe preeclampsia group was 35%(7/20);and in the mild preeclampsia group it was 5%(1/20), with statistically significant difference( P<0.05). (2) The percentage of Tang in maternal peripheral blood was(52.7 ± 8.0)%, (47.5 ± 8.8)% and (45.5 ± 8.7)% in the control group, the mild preeclampsia group and the severe preeclampsia group, respectively. The difference among the three groups was significant (F=4.248,P<0.05), and SNK q analysis showed there was significant difference between the control group and the severe preeclampsia group(P<0.05).While there was no statistically significant difference between the mild and the severe preeclampsia group, nor between the control group and the mild preeclampsia group(P>0.05). (3) The percentage of EPC in maternal peripheral blood was (0.16±0.07)%, (0.09±0.07)%and (0.08±0.05)%in the control group, the mild and the severe preeclampsia group, respectively. Analysis of variance showed that difference among the three groups was significant (F=9.351, P<0.05). The percentage of EPC in the mild or the severe preeclampsia group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). (4) There was no statistically significant correlation between the Tang level and the EPC level in the control group ( r=-0.325, P>0.05). In the preeclampsia group (including mild and severe cases), there was positive correlation between the Tang level and EPC level (r=0.667, P<0.01). The positive correlation between Tang level and EPC level were proved respectively in the mild preeclampsia group (r=0.803, P<0.01) and the severe preeclampsia group (r= 0.520, P<0.05). Conclusions The number of Tang had some correlation with the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. The percentage of Tang had positive correlation with the level of EPC in women with preeclampsia. Tang might have some influence on the change of EPC′ level. Tang together with EPC were likely to contribute to the angiogenesis in preeclampsia.

Objective To study the changes of diamine oxidase (DAO )and intestinal fatty acid binding protein (I-FABP)levels in neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy treated with selective brain hypothermia. Methods Collect a sample of 60newborns with moderate and severe hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy who were hospitalized in the NICU of Matemal and Child Health Care Hospital of Baoding from June 2013to December 2014.The 60newborns were divided into two groups randomly:hypothermia group(n=30)and conventional treatment group(n=30).Selected 30cases hospitalized at the same period, except the related to the ischemia hypoxia and gastrointestinal dysfunction disease as the control group. The levels of serum levels of DAO and I-FABP were measured by ELISA on admission and 7days after treat-ment,respectively.And the score of gastrointestinal dysfunction were compared. Results Neither the levels of DAO and I-FABP in hypothermia group and conventional treatment group had statistical differences on ad-mission[DAO:(15.77±2.04)U/ml,(15.81±1.85)U/ml,P﹥0.05;I-FABP:(310.01±46.43)ng/L, (301.12±38.61)ng/L,P﹥0.05],but were higher than that in the control group [(7.65±0.74)U/ml, (51.65±6.91)ng/L].Seven days after treatment, both the levels of DAO and I-FABP of hypothermia group and conventional treatment group decreased [DAO:(7.88±1.87)U/ml,(12.51±1.53)U/ml;I-FABP:(59.16±6.17)ng/L,(121.31±21.54)ng/L],meanwhile,the variation of hypothermia group was more significant(P﹤0.05).The correlation of the plasma DAO and I-FABP levels and the score of gas-trointestinal dysfunction was significantly (r1=0.831,r2=0.827,P ﹤0.01).Conclusion Hypothermia treatment could effectively reduce the levels of DAO and I-FABP,thus improve the gastrointestinal function in some extent.

Objective To analyze the correlations between pediatric intersive cave unit (PICU) nurses′job satisfaction and their perception of job characteristics. Method One hundred and thirty-six PICU nurses from a women and children′s hospital of Guangzhou participated in the study and the job diagnostic survey (JDS) and Minnesota satisfaction questionnaire short-form (MSQ20) were used to investigate the relationship between the job characteristics and job satisfaction. Results The average score on general satisfaction was (3.57 ± 0.41). The dimensions like skill variety, task integrity, feedback from job and feedback from others, had a significant positive impact on general satisfaction (all P<0.05). Conclusion Nurses generally have a relatively middle level of job satisfaction and measures should be taken to improve their job satisfaction as well as the quality of nursing.
