2.Research progress in biosynthesis of backbone-cyclized peptides using EPL and PTS
Military Medical Sciences 2016;40(3):252-255
As internal protein elements , inteins are self-excised from their host protein and catalyze ligation of exteins with a peptide bond .They are widely found in all the three domains of the biological kingdom , and in viral proteins .Intein-mediated protein splicing is a posttranslational autocatalytic process that does not require auxiliary enzymes or cofactors . Protein splicing involves four intramolecular reactions and a small number of key catalytic residues in the intein and exteins . The development of expressed protein ligation ( EPL ) and protein trans-splicing ( PTS ) is assisted by inteins and protein splicing. This review introduces the biosynthesis of backbone-cyclized peptides libraries , and describes the applications of cyclic polypeptides and their prospective applications in the future .

Journal of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University 2015;(8):632-635
Objective] Summarizing the diagnosis and treatment about the tumor-related disease from “Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber”, thus to better use classic in clinic. [Method] Sort out the book that involves tumor-related diseases pathogenesis, therapeutic treatment and syndrome differentiation treatment, combine with each of the clinical words, analyze and summarize all the clinical experience of physicians. [Results]The book is not equipped with tumor article, many cancer-related clinical manifestations of the disease description can be seen in each chapter, although not forming a system, its pulse and symptoms are involved in different parts of the tumors. And the symptoms of lung cancer, stomach cancer, and gynecological tumors also have been mentioned.[Conclusion] Visible in the book, the etiology and pathogenesis of tumor related diseases have a certain understanding. In the aspect of treatment, pay attention to combining disease syndrome differentiation, treatment and syndrome differentiation. Then concluding all the physicians clinical experience we can see that “Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber”for the treatment of tumors has great significance. And classic of traditional Chinese medicine for modern TCM clinical still have important reference value and guiding significance.
4.Analysis of the clinical distribution of Acinetobacter baumannii infection and its drug resistance
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2015;22(9):1348-1350
Objective To investigate the clinical distribution of Acinetobacter Baumann in our hospital and its drug resistance, provide a reference for clinical medical thereby. Methods A retrospectively analysis for 406 Acinetobacter baumannii detected in our hospital from January 2010 to January 2012 was made, the clinical distribution was observed, and the resistance rates of several commonly used antimicrobial agents was calculated. Results Acinetobacter baumannii infections was mainly detected in respiratory medicine and intensive care unit, the detection rate were 27.3% and 19.0%,the primarily infection site was the respiratory system,Acinetobacter baumannii was detected mainly from sputum specimens and the detection rate was 56.2%,the resistance rate of imipenem, meropenem and cefoperazone sulbactam was relatively low, which were 8.6%,10.6% and 17.0%.Conclusion Acinetobacter baumannii is an important cause of nosocomial infections and prone to multidrug-resistant pathogens,it is a serious threat to patients,we must make a strict selection of appropriate antibiotic therapy based on susceptibility to reduce nosocomial transmission of Acinetobacter baumannii.
5.Research progress on effects of hypoxia inducible factors on main-tenance of cancer stem cell biological characteristics
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2015;(7):401-404
Hypoxic microenvironment is a typical characteristic of solid tumors and is considered an independent risk factor in tu-mor progression and poor prognosis. Hypoxic microenvironment is a critical part of cancer stem cell (CSC) niche and plays an impor-tant role in the evolution of cancer stem cells in tumors and in apoptosis resistance. As a key factor in the tumor's adaption to hypoxic microenvironment, hypoxia inducible factors (HIFs) can induce biological behavioral changes in CSCs that can accelerate tumor malig-nant transformation. Such behavioral changes include anti-apoptosis, enhancement of drug-resistance gene expression, and tumor inva-sion and metastasis. HIFs are also among the main factors affecting the capacity of CSCs to maintain their biological characteristics. In this review, the authors focus on recent advances in our understanding of the role that HIFs play in maintaining the biological character-istics of CSCs.

7.Effects of rapid eye movement sleep deprivation on cognitive function and expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in rat hippocampus
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 1982;0(01):-
Objective:To investigate the effects of various degrees of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep deprivation (RSD) and sleep recovery on cognitive function (learning and memory) and expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the rat hippocampus. Methods: Male SD rats were divided into 8 groups (n=12): blank control group (with normal sleep), environmental control, RSD 1 d, RSD 3 d, RSD 5 d, RSD 7 d, recover sleep 6 h after 7 d RSD (RS 6 h), and recover sleep 12 h after 7 d RSD (RS 12 h). The modified multiple platform method (MMPM) was used to establish sleep deprivation model in rats. The cognitive functions of rats were tested by Y-type maze. The hippocampal BDNF mRNA and protein levels were detected by real-time PCR and immunohistochemical method. Results: The failure reaction times of all RSD groups and the 2 RS groups were significantly more than those in control group and environmental control group (P
8.Content Determination of Fe in Iron Dextran Preparations by UV-VIS
China Pharmacy 2001;0(10):-
OBJECTIVE:To establish the ultraviolet visible spectrophotometry(UV-VIS)for the determination of Fe content in iron dextran preparations.METHODS:Under the acidic condition,Fe~(3+)was dissociated from iron dextran solution by heating, then Fe~(3+)was deoxidized into Fe~(2+)by hydroxylamine hydrochloride, and red Fe~(2+)-orthophenanthroline complex was formed through combination with o-phenanthroline.The content of the Fe~(2+)-orthophenanthroline complex was determined by UV-VIS at a wavelength of 510 nm.RESULTS:The linear range of Fe~(2+)was 0.5~4.0?g?mL~(-1)(r=0.999 9). The average recoveries of two preparations(tablets and injection)of iron dextran were 99.8%(RSD=0.52%)and 99.7% (RSD=0.44%),respectively.CONCLUSION:The UV-VIS method is simple, accurate in results and applicable for the determination of iron dextran preparations.
